Chapter 1109: Chapter 1109 Rescue_1
Purple Sumrs heard this and seed a bit stunned.
A mont later, she regained her composure and smiled faintly, “That’s how he is, very sensitive to current affairs.”
Whatever was hot, he would latch onto the trend, and with such a major homicide case happening in Kingsley City, it wouldn’t be like Norton Young not to take advantage of it.
“He also claims to have deduced key information about the criminal, and he’ll reveal the identity of the perpetrator in his next show,” Alexander Sumrs said, shaking his head with a smile, “It’s hard to tell if it’s just a gimmick or if he really has so clues. Now, tens of thousands of fans are waiting for his live streaming.”
Alexander was not aware of Norton’s exploitation of Purple Sumrs. In fact, ever since he had seen Norton’s photograph, he hadn’t taken the man seriously.
Even the cunning and sinister Alexander couldn’t help but judge based on appearance, instinctively looking down on soone who looked like a hobody.
However, he didn’t dislike Norton because the latter had helped him and Christopher Simonson suppress negative comnts online lately.
In his own live stream, Norton had claid that the criminal was deliberately creating pressure for the public, causing internal conflicts, which was one of the criminal’s forms of amusent.
Under pressure from various quarters, public opinion gradually returned to rationality.
Purple Sumrs asked, “When is his next live stream?”
“It was supposed to be yesterday, but there was no news all day long. He might be using it as an opportunity to build hype,” Alexander said, “Since he announced that he has a lead, his followers have increased by 30 thousand.”
Purple Sumrs slightly curled the corners of her mouth but made no comnt.
There was the sound of cars from downstairs, and Alexander stood up and walked to the window, seeing two police cars arriving one after another.
Alexander’s brows knit together slightly.
“Who is coming this early?” Purple Sumrs also walked over, curiously looking down.
——The police cars stopped outside the hospital, and two n got out. The bodyguards at the hospital gate checked the visitors’ docunts and let them in.
The visitors were the prosecutor and the officer in charge of the rose case.
“We would like to speak with Ms. Simonson for so information,” the prosecutor said, “Ms. Simonson’s classmate, Norton Young, was attacked last night. He was holding his mobile phone when it happened, and the last outgoing call was to Purple Sumrs Simonson.”
Purple Sumrs turned pale in an instant, “… Is he dead?”
The prosecutor said, “He’s in the hospital being resuscitated, still not out of the critical period.”
The other officer added, “It was the sa modus operandi—a cut to the throat, but the assailant imdiately fled the scene. Your classmate was fortunate, the layer of fat was thick and the attacker only severed the jugular vein, not hitting the artery, but his condition is still very critical, and he’s currently in a coma.”
Purple Sumrs stood in shock.
She really didn’t expect… didn’t expect anything to happen to Norton…
“Ms. Simonson, did Norton share any information with you before?” the prosecutor inquired.
Purple Sumrs looked stunned and after a long while fixed her gaze on the prosecutor, “No… My phone has been switched off lately. I haven’t received any calls from him.”
The prosecutor and the officer exchanged glances, both sowhat disappointed.
They had hoped to find so clue.
Just the day before, Norton had claid he had a lead on the criminal. Everyone thought it was a stunt, a boast, a publicity ploy, whether true or false, but now he was lying in the hospital, clearly an attempt by the criminal to silence him.
If, at the mont of the attack, Norton had seen the assailant’s face, this case could be cracked open.
But the question was, would Norton ever wake up?
“Which hospital is he in?” Purple Sumrs said, “I’d like to see him.”
She turned to look at Alexander and repeated, “I want to go see him.”
Alexander sighed slightly and asked the prosecutor, “Is it possible to visit?”
The prosecutor hesitated but finally nodded, “I’ll arrange for soone to facilitate it.”
