The person who killed Lysander Russell should be soone else; if she and Alexander made Violet Nelson confess and go to jail, it would be like letting the true culprit go free, which was not at all a cause for celebration.
After thinking about it, Alexander concluded that an acquittal might be good after all, since Violet Nelson had completely alienated those in the Presidential Palace. The Nelson Family wouldn’t acknowledge her anymore, and without the protection of a family, it would be easy to deal with her later.
