Chapter 1033: Chapter 1033: Alibi_1 Chapter 1033: Chapter 1033: Alibi_1 Alexander Sumrs had only one treatnt thod.
And it was the one he was best at.
…Afterwards, Purple Sumrs lay on the bed, powerless and breathless, “You call a saint, but how good can you be, sinister father? Is it that you can’t do anything other than get into bed!”
Alexander glanced at her inexplicably, “Other things, you want to try? The floor, the car, both are possible.”
Purple Sumrs closed her mouth and stopped talking.
Indeed, thanks to Alexander, Purple Sumrs had been tossed around so much that she had no strength left for self-bla or guilt, and she fell asleep headfirst.
Purple Sumrs hadn’t paid much attention to Violet Nelson’s case.
Knowing it was a set-up, yet still having to spend ti and energy investigating it, was simply masochistic.
Since Violet Nelson loved to act, Purple Sumrs decided to just play along.
Purple Sumrs went to school during the day and was invited to dine at the Presidential Palace in the evening. Violet Nelson was extrely gracious towards her, treating Purple Sumrs with utmost respect as if she truly considered her a life-saving benefactor.
But Purple Sumrs knew, so people lacked a heart.
At the dinner table, Violet asked helplessly, “Have there been any developnts in my case recently?”
Purple Sumrs feigned difficulty and sighed, “I had people ask around near the forest farm for a few days, but alas, no luck. So, I’m planning to change the approach, investigate the eyewitness, and hope to find a breakthrough.”
The atmosphere at the table grew tense.
Violet Nelson said, “These past few days, I’ve been recalling, and I rember when I was wandering near the forest farm, I passed a very simple small store. The boss asked if I wanted to buy a bottle of water. I ignored her at the ti, but maybe she can rember .”
Having said that, she watched Purple Sumrs closely, observing her facial expression.
“That would be wonderful,” Purple Sumrs smiled, gentle and composed, “I’ll go find her after dinner and ask her to testify in court.”
Violet Nelson’s anxiety eased, and she smiled upon hearing this.
Things were progressing smoothly.
Even if Purple Sumrs was brilliant, she wasn’t an immortal who could foresee the future, especially now when she was wearing a mantle of guilt. Any minor error could lead to her imprisonnt. Violet Nelson was convinced Purple would never suspect her!
Violet Nelson thought everything through ticulously and, feeling confident about her seamless plan, her smile beca more sincere, and she treated Purple Sumrs with even greater warmth and friendliness.
After dinner, Purple Sumrs comforted her, “Don’t worry, as long as you have an alibi, there won’t be a problem.”
She then asked soone to prepare the car, and they set off for the forest farm.
The area surrounding the forest farm was desolate. Occasionally, they encountered couples walking side by side and farrs living nearby.
Purple Sumrs, following Violet Nelson’s lead, found the small store.
It was indeed plain, a gray brick and tile house, with a monotonous array of goods inside: only beverages, tobacco, groceries, and condints. The only snack was lon seeds.
When Purple Sumrs arrived, a couple inside was arguing, so she didn’t go in right away but stood outside watching.
The woman, in her thirties or forties, cried and cursed, desperately pulling at the man, “You never co ho, and when you do, you only ask for money! I just paid our kid’s school fees; where do I get more money? This is for stocking goods next month! If you take it away, what do the child and I live on, thin air?”
The man, with a fierce look on his face, angrily shoved the woman away, yanked open a drawer full of assorted banknotes.
Not bothering to count, he grabbed handfuls and stuffed them into his pocket.
The woman cried harder, lunging to snatch the money from his hand, but the man, fed up, kicked her away!
With a bang, the woman hit the corner of a shelf and was in so much pain that she couldn’t move for a long while.
She watched with wide eyes as the man took the money and left, her tears flowing freely.
Purple Sumrs entered and helped her up, asking, “Do you want to call the police?”
The woman, tears in her eyes, shook her head, “We’re husband and wife, it would be too embarrassing to make it public.”
She straightened the fallen stool on the floor and then looked up at Purple Sumrs, “Do… do you want to buy sothing?”
Purple Sumrs turned on her phone cara, brought up a photo, and showed it to her, “I’d like to ask you, did you see this woman on October 17th?”
