Jiae Yao didn’t push the issue, but she couldn’t hide her astonishnt. What kind of relationship could make soone follow another’s words so unconditionally?

The Immortal Palace was already halfway overrun. Many of the kings guarding the halls had been used by cultivators to hone their skills, leaving only a few who no longer posed much of a threat. The real danger ca from the increasing numbers of Soul Formation stage wandering spirits appearing later.

After finalizing their plans, the group quickly organized and set out, breaking through the Lotus Mirage Hall and heading toward the Celestial Harmony Hall.

From other directions, the sounds of fierce battles echoed—likely from those of the Eternal One Sect, who had chosen to break out through the Eight Pillars Hall, separated from them by only one hall.

Was this a massacre? At tis, it seed more like a one-sided slaughter.

Barely half an hour in, expressions of mixed awe and disbelief began to erge on everyone’s faces.

"Are they always like this?" Woonho Dai, who had never witnessed such a spectacle before, could no longer find the appropriate words to describe what he was seeing.

"I used to think Deity Transformation stage cultivators were incredible," muttered Kangho Wan of the Light Demon Sect. He hesitated but decided against ntioning that his master was a peak Deity Transformation stage cultivator.

Now, watching Amalia and Kenny Lin of the Green Lotus Sect take down Soul Formation stage wandering spirits with ease, as if slicing through vegetables, without giving their opponents the slightest chance to react, Kangho Wan was forced to reconsider.

He wondered if even his master would stand a chance against these two.

Amalia took the lead, cutting down wandering spirits at the forefront to gather more spirit orb imbued with Deity Transformation stage energy for Kenny Lin.

The wandering spirits initially underestimated Amalia, assuming that her cultivation at the late of the Soul Formation stage posed no significant threat.

Behind her, Kenny Lin was far from idle. Now at the peak of the Soul Formation stage, the power of his every sword strike had visibly increased.

"He’s gotten even stronger," thought Dayeon Xinyue and Jiae Yao in unison, their minds filled with awe.

Wandering spirits caught in the radiant sweep of Kenny Lin’s sword would montarily freeze. Amalia exploited this brief mont of stillness, slashing more than a dozen tis in a second, each strike landing with precision on the wandering spirit.

Unable to withstand the onslaught, the wandering spirits shattered like fragile mirrors, disappearing in wails of agony, leaving behind only a single soul pearl.

Without pause, the pair seamlessly transitioned to their next target, their movents fluid and relentless.

Jinhwa Hou, observing this display, finally understood.

It turned out that the flawless teamwork he once had with Amalia was, to her, just an ordinary collaboration. Her synchronization with Kenny Lin, on the other hand, was the true definition of perfect synergy.

The wandering spirits had clearly been terrified by the pair. Many of them desperately pushed toward other areas, doing everything possible to avoid the direction of the duo.

When they ran out of wandering spirits to kill, Amalia and Kenny Lin shifted their focus, forcing the wandering spirits to flee again.

This created a domino effect—opponents who had been engaged in battle with others would suddenly flee, only to be replaced by new opponents, restarting the cycle all over again.

"I thought breaking through the Immortal Palace this ti would be a bloodbath," Mino Guo remarked to Hanjun Wangye and the others around him with a sigh.

"This is what you call a bloodbath? Give a break! I’ve never fought a battle like this before," Chohwan Jin muttered, exasperated.

Having allies that were too strong had sohow beco a problem for them.

Their opponents kept changing, none could be killed fast enough, and they couldn’t claim any spirit orbs. Without spirit orbs, they couldn’t quickly improve their cultivation.

In the past, Chohwan Jin would have been thrilled about sothing like this. But now, for so reason, he just couldn’t bring himself to feel happy about it.

"Hanjun Wangye..." Mino Guo started, only to be interrupted by Chohwan Jin.

"Don’t call him right now. Hanjun Wangye’s in a bad mood."

"Why would Hanjun Wangye be upset?" Mino Guo was puzzled. He had just seen Hanjun Wangye use a divine artifact to kill a wandering spirit. He was one of the few who had gained anything so far.

"Because that guy looks better than him, is obviously stronger than him, and once we get out of here, Hanjun Wangye probably won’t hold the title of ’Most Handso Man on Mystic Void Continent’ anymore," Chohwan Jin said gleefully, clearly enjoying the drama.

Mino Guo was speechless. To be honest, he didn’t quite understand how important such a title could be. But knowing how confident Hanjun Wangye was in his appearance, it made sense that he’d care.

"Have you had any interaction with Dayeon Xinyue?" Amalia asked abruptly, slicing through a wandering spirit’s head and extracting the spirit orb as she transmitted her voice to Kenny Lin.

"What did you say?" Kenny Lin, in the heat of battle and thoroughly enjoying himself, hadn’t caught her words. It really was better fighting alongside Amalia.

"Dayeon Xinyue," Amalia repeated curtly.

Kenny Lin finally understood. His movents imdiately halted, allowing the wandering spirit he’d been fighting to escape.

"Are you jealous?"

"No," Amalia denied quickly.

"I don’t believe you. Otherwise, how would you even know that I’ve had any interaction with her? Not that it’s much. We just crossed paths at the Heavenly Flas hall. That’s all," Kenny Lin replied, his tone casual, though his explanation ca swiftly.

"I noticed she looked at you twice. Back outside the Path of All Immortals, she never did that," Amalia remarked.

Kenny Lin responded earnestly, "Well, let her look. Or... do you want to gouge her eyes out?"

Amalia gave him a blank stare. "No need for that. How did you et her?"
