They sensed the dangerous energy in advance—did this an that Kenny Lin and Dayeon Xinyue were actually stronger than Temujin Lei?

In the Heavenly Flas Hall, the crimson spirit sensed the other crimson spirit from Jade Radiance Hall entering its territory.

"What’s that old ghost from Jade Radiance Hall doing in my territory? Is it here to seize the token on my turf?"

"My King, shall I go check it out?" one of its subordinates asked, bowing quickly.

"No need. You’d likely not be a match for it. I’ll handle it by myself." The crimson spirit waved his hand dismissively, unwilling to risk losing any of its forces at such a critical ti.

Before long, the crimson spirit from Jade Radiance Hall arrived at the spot where it had detected Kenny Lin’s energy. Though Kenny Lin had already left and left no trace, it did sense the presence of at least five slained purple spirits.

"King of Jade Radiance! How dare you kill my subordinates!" The King of Heavenly Flas hurried over and instantly recognized the slained spirit as its own, assuming that the King of Jade Radiance had been the one to kill them.

"Use your senses. I didn’t kill your subordinates—I just arrived myself." King of Jade Radiance replied, barely bothering to explain, though only to avoid unnecessary trouble.

As King of Jade Radiance spoke, King of Heavenly Flas sensed several human cultivators’ energies in the area.

"If you didn’t kill them, then why are you in my territory?"

"I’m tracking the human who slaughtered my subordinates. They’ve wiped out all my forces, and yours are next," King of Jade Radiance growled, gritting his teeth.

The King of Heavenly Flas’s expression shifted. Before losing five of its own subordinates, it would have dismissed such claims.

"I got here as fast as I could, yet they killed all your n so quickly. Sending more after them would only an more deaths without capturing them."

"What’s your plan, then?" King of Heavenly Flas asked.

"Don’t get in my way. If we join forces, we can kill them," King of Jade Radiance said.

The King of Heavenly Flas’s eyes narrowed as he quickly thought it over. "Not happening. This is my territory, and as long as they’re here, I’ll capture them myself. Are you barging in without my permission? Don’t expect to go easy on you."

King of Jade Radiance cursed internally, knowing King of Heavenly Flas had guessed his intent and planned to monopolize the gold token.

The human cultivator had single-handedly killed over a dozen of King of Jade Radiance’s subordinates, clearly making him one of the elite. There was an 80-90% chance he had a gold token on him. The King of Heavenly Flas wouldn’t have reacted this way if he hadn’t realized this.

"So you’re trying to keep it all for yourself? Do you really think that’s possible?" Seeing King of Heavenly Flas’s treacherous intentions, King of Jade Radiance decided to drop the pretense.

With nearly all his subordinates dead, it would take years—if not decades—to raise others to their level. He could recruit another purple spirit at the Soul Formation stage, but they were less loyal and more prone to betrayal. Only a gold token could offset his losses.

"Fine! I’ve got nothing to lose here, so stop if you can," the King of Jade Radiance sneered, swiftly pursuing the human’s trail.

Furious and unwilling to let his quarry slip away, the King of Heavenly Flas cursed and imdiately chased after him.

...

Not long after Kenny Lin departed, Dayeon Xinyue realized she had completely lost his presence and could no longer pinpoint his location, a realization that left her slightly taken aback.

Under normal circumstances, this would be impossible, as a person on the move, even while consciously suppressing their aura, would inevitably leak traces of energy. This ant either he possessed a unique thod for concealing his energy or he was lurking nearby, preparing for an ambush. The latter seed unlikely—two Deity Transformation spirits couldn’t be overco easily, no matter how strong their combat abilities.

"Xinyue, why did that person help you just now?" Jiae Yao approached her, smiling as she asked.

"I don’t know," Dayeon Xinyue replied bluntly.

Jiae Yao responded with a drawn-out "Ohhh," teasingly. "With your strength, handling a Soul Formation spirit shouldn’t be a problem. Surely he knows that—yet he helped you kill it."

"Senior Sister Yao, what are you talking about?" Kailash Ren, panting, caught up behind them.

"I’m saying soone might be interested in your Senior Sister," Jiae Yao teased.

"Who’s interested in Senior Sister?" Kailash Ren asked with curiosity. Given how perfect her Senior Sister was, it wasn’t surprising if soone admired her. After all, didn’t Temujin Lei also like her?

"I’m talking about that martial uncle from the Green Lotus Sect. If he weren’t interested, why would he kill that Soul Formation spirit your Senior Sister could have easily handled herself?"

"Jiae Yao, don’t talk nonsense," Dayeon Xinyue reprimanded her.

Jiae Yao grinned. "Am I wrong?"

"It kind of makes sense," Kailash Ren hesitated, "but maybe he was just after the orb?"

Jiae Yao chuckled. "That’s possible, but I have another piece of evidence."

"What evidence?" Everyone pricked up their ears, curious.

"Just before he left, he secretly sent a voice transmission to your Senior Sister. If he didn’t have so ulterior motive, I wouldn’t believe it," Jiae Yao said with a aningful smile, although she didn’t know exactly what was said. The circumstances, however, made it easy to guess.

"Enough already. There are two Deity Transformation spirits trailing us, and if they catch up, I won’t be able to protect you," Dayeon Xinyue imdiately interrupted, putting an end to their wild speculations.

"If Deity Transformation spirits co after us, the first ones to suffer will be those two from the Eternal One Sect," Jiae Yao said disdainfully.

"We should find sowhere to lay low for now," Dayeon Xinyue, still worried, advised.

The sudden appearance of two Deity Transformation spirits was certainly no coincidence. If one went after Temujin Lei and his companion, the other would likely co for them. As the Senior Sister, Dayeon Xinyue couldn’t afford to be careless.
