"That’s right," Dongjian Zhao replied without hesitation, laughing. "How does it feel to be beaten by your own sect’s tactics?"

He advanced, forcing Kenny Lin to retreat, leaving him almost no room to fight back. Suddenly, Kenny Lin let out a low growl, dropping his fixation on sword strikes. He quickly blocked a blow, then kicked off the ground, flashing backward to gain so space.

Dongjian Zhao pursued, though Kenny Lin managed to create a slight distance. With a swift swing, Kenny Lin unleashed a flurry of sword light.

Dongjian Zhao scoffed. Those weak streaks of sword light? He didn’t even bother to block, charging straight through them. They struck him, leaving only shallow cuts, barely drawing blood.

The opportunity Kenny Lin had hoped for vanished as Dongjian Zhao closed in again.

"It seems the earlier lesson wasn’t enough. This ti, I’ll get serious," Dongjian Zhao growled. Suddenly, a silver claw appeared on his free hand, flashing forward with a ripping sound.

Kenny Lin’s robes tore, revealing a six-finger claw mark on his chest, with thin lines of red blood seeping from the wound. A second later, the blood turned black.

"You’re poisoned," Dongjian Zhao said softly, his smile widening like a beast’s maw.

This ti, he didn’t rush forward. Instead, he deliberately took a few steps back, watching Kenny Lin with a leisurely gaze.

"Oh no, our Martial Uncle has been poisoned by Dongjian Zhao—this is serious!" The mbers of the Green Lotus Sect looked on with alarm.

"Is his poison that special?" Amalia asked calmly, seemingly unbothered by the unfolding crisis.

Renshu Chang assud her calmness was due to a lack of understanding. "Of course! Dongjian Zhao’s poison is called ’Blood Hand Scale Poison.’ It corrodes the ridians and consus spiritual power. It’s a cruel technique. Once poisoned, you need the antidote quickly, or it will cause irreversible damage to the ridians. The longer it remains, the more severe the aftereffects."

"Amalia, you need to have martial uncle surrender. That poison will spread quickly if he uses his spiritual power. If it travels throughout his ridians, the damage will be devastating," Renshu Chang added urgently.

Just as he finished speaking, Kenny Lin coughed up a mouthful of black blood, almost coagulated, which fell to the ground with a splat. It landed on a stone and, with a sizzle, the poison from the Blood Hand Scale began corroding the rock instantly.

Amalia’s expression grew serious. If this poison couldn’t be neutralized by the Yin-Yang Pearl, was it truly that potent? Could even the Yin-Yang Pearl be ineffective?

"What did you poison with? What’s happening to my spiritual power?" Kenny Lin’s expression darkened as he roared at Dongjian Zhao.

Seeing him still able to act, Amalia breathed a sigh of relief. His theatrics indicated he was still in control. That mouthful of black blood must have been forced out by him rather than the poison itself. If the Yin-Yang Pearl had consciousness, it would probably be annoyed at having to deal with this farce.

Dongjian Zhao threw his head back in laughter. "Haven’t your sect brothers told you about my specialty, the Blood Hand Scale Poison?"

"My sect brothers? They don’t even know your na, let alone your ’specialty.’ Who do you think you are?" Kenny Lin retorted with mock arrogance.

Dongjian Zhao’s smile faltered, and he sneered, "You’ve provoked over and over again—seems like you don’t want the antidote."

"If you’re not giving it, then save your breath," Kenny Lin replied before spitting out another mouthful of black blood. "Since you’re forcing my hand, I won’t hold back! Even if it ruins , I’m going to kill you today!"

Dongjian Zhao laughed in anger. "Kill ? Let’s see if you’re capable of that."

Suddenly, Kenny Lin sheathed his sword.

Dongjian Zhao was taken aback, then smirked triumphantly. "Weren’t you ready to risk it all? Or have you decided to kneel and beg for rcy?"

"In your dreams." A new sword appeared in Kenny Lin’s hand. "Today, I’ll let you witness the power of a divine artifact."

Dongjian Zhao’s face changed—this sword was a divine artifact? No, perhaps just a pseudo-divine artifact. But even so, activating it would require significant spiritual power, which the Blood Hand Scale Poison would quickly exploit. If he tried to channel enough power, he’d likely poison himself before the weapon could even be fully activated.

"Oh, I’m so scared. Go on, then." Dongjian Zhao narrowed his eyes, thinking how wonderful it would be if he could seize that pseudo-divine artifact for himself.

Seeing Kenny Lin preparing to fight seriously, Renshu Chang hurriedly spoke to Amalia, "You need to persuade him! If he tries to activate that weapon, the Blood Hand Scale Poison will spread throughout his body in no ti."

"Yes, listen to Renshu Chang—no need to be reckless. Damaging your foundation is too great a risk," Jinhwa Hou chid in.

"Tomorrow, the Path of All Immortals opens again, and that’s the main event. There’s no point in being stubborn over this—it’s just one loss," added Eunbyeol Ling.

They all assud Kenny Lin was driven by pride.

Amalia noticed the concern on everyone’s faces, and it comforted her to see their genuine care for Kenny Lin, even if there was so misunderstanding.

She couldn’t reveal that Kenny Lin was likely faking it and, apart from minor cuts, was relatively unhard. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of soone and suddenly had an idea.

"If the Sixth Elder hasn’t intervened so far, Kenny Lin should be fine," she suggested.

Her words reminded everyone that the Sixth Elder who is responsible for their safety, hadn’t stepped in to declare defeat on behalf of their martial uncle. It was indeed unusual.

"I know! Maybe the Sixth Elder has an antidote to the Blood Hand Scale Poison!" Senior Brother Dai exclaid, clapping his hands in excitent.

"Could he?" the others wondered, exchanging uncertain glances.

"I’m not sure," Amalia replied with a sigh of relief, "but we’ll find out if we keep watching."
