In past years, fierce battles for these tokens sotis even led to the fall of elite cultivators.

Although each of these elites had the potential to beco future leaders against the devils, human nature is complicated. Even the most honorable people can be tempted by the allure of power, and the fights often lead to casualties. This brutal competition was one way humanity chose its strongest. Devils did the sa, but their thods were even harsher.

The crystal tokens didn’t appear as quickly as the silver and black tokens had. In the dense fog of spiritual energy, they rolled and churned as if being chewed up, the movent growing more intense, as if any mont they might burst out.

The elites fixed their gazes on the Path of All Immortals, occasionally glancing at those people around them. Anyone here could beco an enemy if they managed to grab a crystal token.

"When you get a crystal token, head straight toward . I’ll try to grab a few extra tokens," Kenny Lin told Amalia in a low voice.

Even though he’d said a lot in front of Tan Kai earlier, no one could know if the gold tokens would appear. If they didn’t, things would beco complicated. Feeling responsible for Amalia, he wasn’t going to miss any chance to help her.

"Just focus on your own tokens. Don’t worry about ," Amalia replied calmly. She understood why others looked down on her; her cultivation level was lower, so it was to be expected.

Kenny Lin didn’t respond, and Amalia guessed he hadn’t listened, so she didn’t say anything more.

There were probably only a few dozen crystal tokens to co; last ti, there were less than thirty. Dozens of elites had fought fiercely over them, and in the end, so still left empty-handed.

This ti, both black and silver tokens were more plentiful than before, so it was likely that crystal tokens would be too. Conservatively, there might be around fifty.

Amalia glanced around. There were at least a hundred elites here. Even though there were more tokens this ti, the competition was even tougher. It was like two elites fighting for every crystal token. The chances of grabbing more than one were almost zero. She couldn’t rely on Kenny Lin; she had to push herself.

Having a lower cultivation level could be an advantage; the stronger cultivators wouldn’t view her as a threat. Confident in their own strength, they wouldn’t expect a weaker one to make bold moves.

Amalia decided to give it a try. Fortune favors the bold, and she knew that from the mont she started on this path.

At that mont, all the elites’ attention was focused on the entrance of the Path of All Immortals.

The rolling of spiritual energy grew fiercer. No one knew exactly when the tokens would co out, so no one dared to relax, knowing that a single distraction could cost them.

No one noticed Amalia’s movents—except for the cultivators that was watching her from outside the barrier.

"Martial aunt may be a top-level elite, but her low cultivation level still puts her at a disadvantage. Competing for crystal tokens will be tough, and even if she gets one, holding onto it will be harder," Elder Wang said, shaking his head regretfully.

"She doesn’t need to hold onto it; it’s enough if soone else can," Tan Kai said with a calm smile.

Elder Wang looked surprised. "Would she really agree to that? Most elites wouldn’t do sothing like that."

"Not usually, but how can anyone here expect to keep their tokens alone? Right now, cooperation among sect mbers is more important than ever. In past years, mostly only the elites in the Soul Formation stage went after the crystal tokens. This year, there are new variables. And sotis, those variables are exactly what it takes to make cooperation happen. So people won’t just follow the rules," Tan Kai replied confidently.

"Are you saying...?" Elder Wang wasn’t entirely sure but wondered if the Sixth Elder ant Amalia.

Tan Kai left the question hanging. "Keep watching, and you’ll see it."

Eternal One Sect.

"She’s asking for trouble!" Yokhunan Shao also noticed Amalia’s movents, and her gaze turned cold.

Amalia was moving toward the Eternal One Sect’s area. The sect’s disciples hadn’t noticed her yet, but the elders who were watching over them quickly did.

"This child is truly clever," Elder Wong said with admiration as he watched Amalia approach. It was a sha, though. With her talent, she could have flourished in the Eternal One Sect and might even have beco the next Temujin Lei. But a missed chance is a missed chance.

"Why are you praising her, Elder Wong?" Yokhunan Shao asked with a frown.

Sect Leader Mao answered calmly, "Because she knows that the Eternal One Sect wouldn’t dare kill her. If they did, they’d never get the Eight Gods Blade technique."

"That’s right," Elder Wong sighed. "That’s why I said she was clever. As long as she survives, she has a chance."

"So, we just let her continue?" Yokhunan Shao asked, frustrated.

"We’ll see how Temujin Lei and the others handle it," Elder Wong said, glancing at Tan Kai in the distance.

Tan Kai looked over at Elder Wong and gave him a slight nod.

Suddenly, a dazzling beam of light streaked from the Path of All Immortals. It was as bright as the brightest star in the night sky, flying straight ahead, followed by another beam just as bright.

In an instant, all the elites sprang into action, streaking across the field like shooting stars. Leading the charge was a figure moving faster than anyone else, reaching the light in re monts.

A hand reached out and grabbed the crystal token—a rectangular, palm-sized token made entirely of crystal, gleaming brightly in the sunlight.

If they had only taken one, no one would have cared. With a slight delay, the others could have taken another. But the person grabbing the tokens didn’t pause, putting the first away and imdiately reaching for the second.
