The chubby stall owner chuckled, "What did she say?"
"She actually said that she’s been working with artifacts for less than two years while others start since childhood, and she said that even could also do it." Lysandre, who had started learning artifact knowledge at a young age, wore a look of disbelief.
The chubby stall owner widened his eyes in surprise, "She’s really been working with artifacts for only less than two years?"
Given Amalia’s usual skill in repairing artifacts, she didn’t seem like soone who had only been doing it for less than two years. Instead, she appeared more like an experienced old hand.
"Well, if that’s true, it’s truly impressive," the chubby stall owner exclaid.
"She’s so young; even if she didn’t start from childhood, others wouldn’t catch up," the Old stall owner said nonchalantly.
Lysandre’s eyes flickered, "You speak as if you’ve seen many people that had talent like her."
The Old stall owner smiled faintly.
anwhile, after ending the communication with Lysandre, Amalia furrowed her brow tightly.
The incident where the Succubus girl was taken by the Spirot Cultivators Association was a big stimulus for the Incubus boy. He could go to Lysandre’s place and he also could seek out to Samuel and Carlos.
Yannis knew their relationship with her and wouldn’t miss this chance. It’s also possible that the Incubus boy had already gone to Samuel. Carlos wasn’t as big person, so he probably would go to Samuel side.
Amalia imdiately dialed Samuel’s communication number.
Fortunately, Samuel answered promptly.
"Amalia?" Samuel was surprised she reached out to him.
"Let be brief," Amalia then inford him of her current situation in detail.
"The Incubus boy might co to you anyti. It’s best for you and your family to lay low for now."
Samuel frowned, then chuckled bitterly, "But the company is here. Even if we hide temporarily, we can’t hide forever."
"I’ll handle the rest. For the sake of your lives, it’s better for you and your father to avoid it first,"
Samuel understood the situation. He said: "Alright."
"Could you also help inform Carlos?" Amalia added.
"I will," Samuel nodded.
After Amalia ended the call, Samuel, realizing Amalia’s imdiate notification, didn’t hesitate. He imdiately inford his father about the matter.
They narrowly escaped the company death previously, largely thanks to Amalia.
After thinking it through, Mr. Salvador agreed to lay low for a few days.
Half an hour later, the father and son returned ho together.
In truth, they didn’t have much to pack. Upon reaching their new place, they could start afresh.
"Father, are we leaving?"
"Just a mont," Mr. Salvador suddenly went to his study and returned while holding a box.
Samuel had been to the study countless tis, but he had never seen this box before.
’’Father, what is this?’’
"’Huh, isn’t this the box you’ve always kept locked and didn’t allow your son to touch?’ Mrs. Salvador recognized it.
She rembered her son being playful when he found this item once, but when Mr. Salvador saw it at ho, his face imdiately turned ugly. He gave a serious warning for him to not touching it again.
At that ti, Samuel was still very young and had long forgotten about it.
"Why you wouldn’t let touch it?’’ Samuel’s intuition told him that there was sothing special inside, and his eyes fixated on it.
Mr. Salvador sighed heavily.
"I originally planned that when I died, I would burn this thing and let it accompany . But now, it seems that there’s a different plan at work.’’
Mr. Salvador opened the box, and revealing an ancient book inside.
Samuel glanced at it and involuntarily narrowed his eyes.
"Father, how do we have sothing like this at ho?’ Suddenly, a realization struck him, finally answering the long-standing doubts.
’’Could this be the reason our enemies have been pursuing us?’’
"Yes, not only because it’s incredibly valuable but also because every ancestor of the Salvador who practiced this technique always t an unfortunate end."
Mr. Salvador had kept it hidden because he didn’t want his son to face the sa fate.
"’Then why bring it out now? You should put it away!’ Mrs. Salvador said sharply.
Mr. Salvador shook his head.
’’The reason this technique has been passed down in the Salvador family is because it’s the most suitable thod for each generation of the direct line. I always thought hiding its existence would prevent you from practicing it, and allowing you to live as an ordinary person. But now I suddenly realize that once you step on this path, you’ll face danger at any ti. And there’s no turning back. I only deceived myself for so many years.’"
Mr. Salvador looked straight at his son.
’’I don’t want you to resent in the future, nor do I want you to regret it. My son shouldn’t be buried, and only waiting for others to save him.’’
"Father...’’ Samuel choked up.
If his father hadn’t spoken up, he would never have known that he cared so much about him.
"Of course, I took it out not necessarily for you to practice. You can make your own choice. If you practice it, although you’ll gain imnse strength, it also ans a difficult path ahead, filled with more dangers. You need to think carefully."
Mr. Salvador had this thought not just today. Every ti he saw other kids from different families being so talented and powerful, he would think of his own son.
He believed his son should have been the sa, but due to his own decision, he had stifled his son’s right to choose.
In the Salvador, every descendant had a chance when they were young, to practice this technique or not. The elders would inform them of all the pros and cons.
Since the Salvador incident in the past, there’s only them remaining, Mr. Salvador feared for his son’s safety and also dreaded burdening him with such a heavy responsibility.
He had made his decision, an act that, in fact, displayed a kind of irresponsibility.
"I’ve made up my mind. I will practice," Samuel decisively took over the technique without hesitation.
"Samuel!" Mrs. Salvador grabbed his hand, and shaking her head imploringly.
Samuel clenched his fingers, then his gaze hardened. "Mom, let take this chance. Otherwise, I won’t feel content."
Mrs. Salvador was stunned. She never knew he carried such discontent within him. If it weren’t for her husband’s realization, they might never have discovered it as a parent.
Should she let him live in regret or let him take a chance?
Slowly, Mrs. Salvador relented, and releasing her tight grip on his hand.
Amalia was unaware of what had happened in the Salvador family. After ending the call, her furrowed brow remained unfurled.
The Incubus boy wasn’t just troubleso; but also an unpredictable ti bomb.
Leaving it unattended, she couldn’t guarantee that soday the Incubus boy would find Amalia’s parents.
After pondering for a mont, Amalia decided to inquire about the situation from soone.
Upon returning to the apartnt, she realized the person she sought was absent.
Amalia retrieved Martin’s son’s artifact, and paused for two seconds, then returned it. She then found Kenny Lin’s communication number from the communicator and dialed.
Three seconds later, a holographic image appeared on top of the communicator, with Kenny Lin positioned right in the center of the holographic screen.
Just as Amalia was about to ask his whereabouts, her pupils suddenly contracted.
"What is that?"
Kenny Lin turned to see a monster darting out from a black hole. He was holding a sword-type artifact and with a single slash, a flash of cold light akin to lightning split the monster into two halves.
A burst of black gas erupted from the creature, and it crashing down, revealing the true form of the monster.
This was one of them.
There were others nearby, wreaking havoc in the vicinity.
This scene completely overturned Amalia’s understanding.
