Tan Kai nodded. "Alright, then let’s go quickly."
Under Tan Kai’s protection, they soon left the valley safely, and he departed.
Once Jiho Wang confird there were no devils or ambushes from Taejin Yun outside, he bid farewell to Peak Master Huoyan and hurriedly left with his n. Though he seed calm, he was still worried inside.
After they left, Peak Master Huoyan asked Amalia and Kenny Lin, "Would you like to return with us?"
"Yes, let’s go back together. We’ve already accomplished our goal here," Amalia replied.
Peak Master Huoyan breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that they might stay in the devil battlefield, vulnerable to an attack. He quickly released the flying boat, and once everyone was aboard, they set off.
The devils had actually stationed people outside Silent Echo Valley, but even though they didn’t see Tan Kai, they didn’t dare make a move. Their superiors weren’t present, and they were no match for Peak Master Huoyan. They could only watch as the group left the devil battlefield.
"Do you think Wealth and the three Pixius made it out safely?" As they were about to leave the battlefield, Amalia finally asked the silent Kenny Lin.
Knowing what she was worried about, Kenny replied, "The aura flared up quickly but disappeared just as fast. They probably used the Breath Beads to shield Wealth’s aura. Even the Sixth Elder didn’t notice anything unusual, so they should’ve escaped successfully."
Amalia nodded. "That’s good. I wonder when we’ll see Wealth again."
"If Wealth hasn’t fully learned what he needs to, the three Pixius probably won’t let him leave the forbidden land easily."
"I think so too," Amalia said, then glanced at him. "You were acting weird back at Silent Echo Valley. What’s up?"
When this was brought up, Kenny Lin only frowned slightly before calmly saying, "Nothing, just thinking about a few things."
This was the first ti he had kept sothing to himself, and though Amalia wondered about it, she didn’t press. When he was ready to talk, he probably would.
After they returned to the Green Lotus Sect, they didn’t see Sect Leader Qing. Renshu Chang told them that after the Sixth Elder ca back, the sect leader had dumped all the matters onto him and called a eting with the other elders.
Amalia knew what they were discussing, so she didn’t ask. She and Kenny Lin left together, and she went back alone to Naless Peak, where she unexpectedly ran into her master, who was standing in front of a flowerbed with her hands behind her back.
"Why are you alone today? Where’s your twin go?" Tian Wuya teased her.
"The Path of All Immortals is coming soon, so he went back to Upper Nine Peak to train," Amalia replied coolly.
Although her tone was the sa as usual, Tian Wuya sensed that sothing was off about her mood.
"Did sothing happen to that Pixiu cub?" She asked.
Amalia froze for a mont, realizing her master had misunderstood. She shook her head. "No, he’s already safely back with his tribe." After a pause, she asked, "Master, you sealed his Pixiu bloodline before. Will it still erupt on its own?"
"It’s already erupted?" Tian Wuya raised an eyebrow.
Amalia nodded and briefly explained what had happened. "We suspect that the cub’s bloodline was triggered sohow, which caused the eruption."
Tian Wuya suddenly fell into deep thought, remaining silent for a long ti.
Amalia grew uneasy at her master’s silence. "Master, is there a problem? Is Wealth in danger?"
"He’s back with his tribe now. Even if there’s danger, those three Pixius can handle it. I’m just finding this a bit strange," Tian Wuya reassured her, though she still seed lost in thought.
Hearing that there wasn’t any major danger, Amalia relaxed. Curiously, she asked, "What’s strange about it?"
"The cub has two bloodlines, but he was born in the Lumina Scale Komodo form, aning his Pixiu bloodline should be quite weak. Even if it was triggered, he shouldn’t have gained much of Pixiu’s abilities. Although the bloodline is strong, it shouldn’t have been able to break through my seal and release such a powerful aura," Tian Wuya mused.
Amalia’s heart skipped a beat. "Do you an Wealth’s Pixiu bloodline is unusual?"
"I’m not sure, but being able to break the seal suggests sothing out of the ordinary. His Pixiu bloodline might be stronger than we thought. But don’t worry, a stronger bloodline is a good thing," Tian Wuya said, though she didn’t dwell on it further. Few things piqued her interest anymore.
Since her master didn’t have a clear answer, Amalia stopped asking. She just hoped that Wealth was alright. Once he inherited the forbidden land’s legacy and grew stronger, he would probably co looking for them again.
After her master left, Amalia used a communication jade to tell Kenny Lin about what had happened.
"Sounds like the plot of a chosen one," ca Kenny Lin’s playful response.
Amalia was surprised at how quickly he bounced back and teased him in return, "Didn’t you used to say we were the chosen ones?"
"Are you dumb? Who’s Wealth’s parent?"
Amalia could practically picture Kenny Lin’s scornful expression, and she laughed. "If you want to be the savior, you better have the strength to back it up."
"You’re right. That’s why I’m planning to enter seclusion for training, and I won’t co out until you call ," Kenny said seriously.
Amalia frowned. "Where will you train?"
"The Wild West Continent. My master said it’s one of the best places to temper oneself, full of danger. Life and death hang by a thread there," Kenny replied, his eyes narrowing in determination. If Amalia could see him, she’d know how serious he was.
"Do you have to go there?"
Was the battle at Silent Echo Valley that impactful to him?
"I have to."
"I..."
Before she could finish, Kenny interrupted her. "Don’t even think about it. I’m not taking you. I’ll go first, and once I have so experience, I’ll invite you for the next quest."
