Realizing her plan had been seen through, Hana Yun’s gaze on Amalia grew colder, filled with killing intent she could no longer suppress.
"Are you seeking death?" Hana Yun asked, her fury barely contained.
Her reaction confird that Amalia’s guess had been correct.
From the shadows, Elder Gu observed Amalia for a few seconds before sending a voice transmission to the enraged Hana Yun. "Miss, calm yourself. Even if they know our goal, it doesn’t matter. We’ve already confird most of the information about the City Lord. Now, we’re just looking for an excuse."
"I understand, but these two—I’ve decided to capture them alive!" Hana Yun hated nothing more than having her authority challenged, especially by those she viewed as re ants.
"They’re just a Golden Core cultivator and a Nascent Soul cultivator. Once we’ve gathered the information we need about the City Lord’s mansion, I’ll deal with them personally," Elder Gu’s attitude was condescending, his gaze indifferent, as though Kenny Lin and Amalia were of no consequence to him.
"Be careful. There must be more powerful figures in the shadows whom Hana Yun has brought along," Amalia warned.
She didn’t believe that soone like Hana Yun would be reckless enough to cause trouble at Skyward City’s Lord’s mansion with only Yuji as her backup.
"I want her dead," Kenny Lin said coldly.
"We’ll have to wait until reinforcents from the Green Lotus Sect arrive. If I’m not mistaken, Hana Yun has a deity transformation stage cultivator supporting her," Amalia replied calmly.
They were already struggling against Yuji, a late-stage Soul Formation cultivator.
A deity transformation cultivatot would be far beyond their current abilities.
Despite her own hatred for Hana Yun, Amalia remained rational.
"My cultivation is still too low," Kenny Lin muttered.
After advancing two levels in quick succession, he had been quite satisfied.
Soon, he thought, he would reach perfection and even break through to the Soul Formation stage.
But now, with a deity transformation cultivator here to crush them, he felt frustrated.
As for Yuji, who was at the late Soul Formation stage, Kenny Lin thought he would surpass him eventually, so he didn’t even consider him a threat.
"Don’t say that in front of Renshu Chang," Amalia warned. "He’d be pissed off if he heard you."
Kenny Lin snorted, his gaze dark and cold as he looked at Hana Yun. "You’ve succeeded in angering . So, you’re the daughter of the City Lord of Harmonywood City? If you don’t kill today, I swear I’ll co back one day and slaughter your entire family."
Amalia placed a hand on her forehead, already expecting this reaction.
Sure enough, Hana Yun laughed in anger.
"You, a re Nascent Soul cultivator, plan to wipe out my entire family?"
"I’m not afraid to tell you, I’ve just advanced two levels in row. Surpassing that deity transformation cultivator hiding in the shadows is only a matter of ti."
Amalia finally realized Kenny Lin was doing it on purpose—deliberately provoking Hana Yun and the cultivator backing her.
Elder Gu was slightly surprised, not because Kenny Lin had pointed out his presence—anyone clever enough could figure out that Hana Yun wouldn’t dare cause trouble at Skyward City’s mansion without strong support—but because of the speed of Kenny Lin’s cultivation progress.
If his words about advancing two levels in row were true, it could indeed pose a future threat.
If his cultivation advanced that quickly, there was a real possibility he could, as he claid, one day destroy the Harmonywood City Lord’s mansion.
"Miss, we cannot let this man live. He could be a problem in the future," Elder Gu imdiately sent a voice transmission to Hana Yun.
"He’s just trying to scare us. You actually believe him, Elder Gu?" Hana Yun scoffed.
She didn’t believe for a second that Kenny Lin cultivation could progress that fast.
If he really had such talent, he would be considered a top-tier prodigy, and those weren’t exactly common.
She simply didn’t buy it.
"Better to believe in the possibility than to ignore it." Elder Gu, with his centuries of experience, knew better than to judge by appearances.
Staying cautious had kept him alive this long.
"Such a waste of a good furnace," Hana Yun muttered.
She had a strong vengeful streak, but she knew she couldn’t disregard Elder Gu’s advice.
As one of her father’s most trusted aides, Elder Gu had considerable influence with her father.
Elder Gu, seeing that Hana Yun was no longer fixated on her original plan, nodded his head in approval.
Hana Yun turned around to Kenny Lin, her lips curving into a smirk. "Since that’s the case, I have no choice but to kill you. You brought this on yourself. Yuji, kill him!"
Yuji instantly unleashed his power, montarily shaking off Yuri and rushing toward Kenny Lin with blinding speed.
"Don’t you dare!" Sehyun Wang cried out in panic, shouting toward the rear courtyard of the City Lord’s mansion. "Uncle Rongi!"
Suddenly, an overwhelming aura erupted from the rear courtyard of the mansion, surging toward Yuji.
Elder Gu, seeing that their target had indeed made a move, snorted coldly.
Two imnse pressures collided in mid-air, exploding outward and sending shockwaves of fierce energy sweeping across the surroundings.
The previously confused crowd, upon seeing the destructive winds wreaking havoc, scread and fled to more open spaces in terror.
With Elder Gu taking action, Yuji’s montum only paused slightly in midair before he once again charged at Kenny Lin.
However, Yuri quickly reacted, knowing fully well that they couldn’t let anything happen to a disciple of the Green Lotus Sect while under their watch.
Before any of this unfolded, the Yin-Yang Pearl within Kenny Lin’s body had already begun to rotate madly, releasing an imnse surge of energy.
The pearl, which had already shown cracks, seed on the verge of breaking again.
As the newly healed fractures started to show signs of splitting, a blade light suddenly shot out toward Yuji, who had now almost arrived in front of Kenny Lin.
