"Wait, are there different paths in the Path of All Immortals?" Amalia asked, confused.
"That’s one part of it," Peak Master Qixing Huayue replied with a solemn expression, "But there’s another reason. Artificer Peak has never had a disciple successfully earn a spot in the Path of All Immortals. It’s a matter of honor. This ti, Artificer Peak must secure a place."
Amalia: "..."
Kenny Lin snickered, saying what Amalia was thinking: "So after all that buildup, it’s really about Artificer Peak’s reputation?"
Peak Master Qixing Huayue’s imposing attitude deflated instantly, "As the Peak Master of Artificer Peak, I personally don’t care about my reputation. But we can’t let Artifact Refining Valley keep monopolizing the Artificer path in the Path of All Immortals. You may not know this, as you’ve only recently started your journey in Artificer path, but the current refining thods on the Mystic Void Continent are actually incomplete."
Amalia was surprised, "What do you an?"
"It’s simple. When a true divine artifact is created, there will be a red glow in the sky, along with a golden light like the one during a cultivator’s ascension. These are the signs of a rare treasure being born. But the day you created your ’divine artifact,’ there was only a tribulation, no red glow or golden light. This ans that what you made wasn’t a true divine artifact."
"Is it the sa for other sects, like Artifact Refining Valley?" Amalia asked.
Peak Master Qixing Huayue nodded, "Yes, exactly. That’s why Artifact Refining Valley values the Path of All Immortals so much. It’s rumored that the refining thods to make a real divine artifact can be found there."
"The so-called ’divine artifacts’ we have now are just fake ones. Their power isn’t even one percent of a true divine artifact. And if the Path of All Immortals holds the knowledge to make real divine artifacts, it may also contain actual divine artifacts. If we can obtain those, we could drive the devils out of the devil battlefield and send them back to their alternate dinsion."
"But not everyone can enter the Path of All Immortals. To qualify, you must at least be at the Nascent Soul stage, and there’s less than a year left until the Path of All Immortals opens again."
Peak Master Qixing Huayue looked serious.
Amalia was only at the mid-stage Golden Core level, and although he had asked her for help, he knew it was a long shot, hoping that maybe she would break through to Nascent Soul within the year.
"That’s not a problem," Amalia said without hesitation.
Peak Master Qixing Huayue’s breath stopped.
Internally, he was stunned.
No one had warned him that Amalia, like Kenny Lin, was so confident and bold.
Kenny Lin gave Peak Master Qixing Huayue a knowing look, his eyes twinkling with amusent.
Unaware of what was going through Peak Master Qixing Huayue’s mind, Amalia continued, "So from what you’re saying, Nascent Soul stage is the minimum requirent?"
"That’s right. And the cultivators who walk the Path of All Immortals are usually prodigies. Even soone at the early Nascent Soul stage shouldn’t be underestimated."
"I see. Does the Path of All Immortals open every year?"
Yao shook his head, "Of course not. The Path of All Immortals is like a holy land to cultivators, but it’s also extrely dangerous. That place is filled with barriers and restrictions left behind from an ancient battlefield. It only opens when the tides of energy erupt, and that doesn’t happen every year. Sotis it takes decades, while other tis, it could be as short as five or six years."
"I get it. So the timing isn’t fixed. When was the last ti it opened?"
"Twenty years ago. And there’s also a restriction on cultivation level. Only Nascent Soul and Soul Formation stage cultivators can enter. So people even suppress their cultivation to stay within the limit. They refuse to break through just to get into the Path of All Immortals."
Peak Master Qixing Huayue’s face grew more serious.
"If you agree to go, you’ll be facing great danger. So of the prodigies there could be at the late or peak Soul Formation stage. They deliberately hold back from breaking through so they can do so inside the Path of All Immortals. Entering at the early Nascent Soul stage would be incredibly dangerous."
Even though Peak Master Qixing Huayue wanted to ask for Amalia’s help, he didn’t want to send her to her death.
He had to make the risks clear.
"There’s still more than half a year left, so I’ll think about it," Amalia said without giving a direct answer, though she had already made up her mind.
Peak Master Qixing Huayue’s eyes lit up, "Alright, but it would be best if you decide within the next six months."
Amalia looked at him, "Why is that?"
Yao explained, "Because not everyone can enter the Path of All Immortals. It’s a strange place, and you have to compete for certain spots."
Amalia nodded, "Understood."
After bidding farewell to Peak Master Qixing Huayue, they made their way back to Naless Peak at a slower pace.
It was spring, the season when flowers were in full bloom—a rare sight on Artificer Peak.
On other peaks, it would be even harder to see such beauty, since many of the disciples were solely focused on cultivation, without much interest in the arts.
As one peak master put it, they were like blocks of wood.
Most disciples of Artificer Peak were Artificer, and their idol was Peak Master Qixing Huayue.
Since Qixing Huayue had a rather laid-back personality, many of his disciples had developed a similar attitude toward life.
"They’re just being lazy," Kenny Lin chuckled.
Amalia suddenly stopped in her tracks.
Kenny Lin turned back to look at her, "What’s wrong?"
"In the secret realm, did I say sothing?" Amalia’s expression was hard to read.
Kenny Lin’s mind raced for a second before he replied, "Did you say sothing? I don’t rember. Oh, by the way, I’m planning to go to the Library Pavilion tomorrow. I might stay there for a few days, so don’t co looking for ."
