None of them had been too dangerous, especially the first three, which she had managed to unravel in the end.

She had encountered attack-type formations before.

The formation would activate and attack her within it, using the power of the formation itself.

But this formation, using external forces to create trouble, seed like a combination of an illusion-type and an attack-type formation.

"Help! Help!" Three young disciples ran towards her in panic.

Seeing Amalia, they looked as if they had seen their savior.

Amalia noticed that two devils were following them, both at the leader level, while the young cultivators being chased were only at the Foundation Building stage.

The three of them ran towards Amalia, only then noticing the head in the grass.

"Brother Liao!" they called out the na of the head.

"Fellow junior sister, what are you standing there for? Run! We can’t possibly defeat leader-level devils," they said, only now realizing that Amalia was also at the Foundation Building stage.

If they had known earlier, they wouldn’t have run towards her.

"There are formations everywhere here. Can you really escape?" Amalia calmly retorted.

She had already noticed that, despite the surrounding jungle, formations were everywhere.

One wrong step could lead them into another formation, which could either be safe or lead to death.

"If we don’t run, we’ll be killed by devils. These are not ordinary devils; even with the four of us, we might not be able to handle one," said a disciple nad Dura Jin.

"Stop talking, the devils are coming," another disciple urged, seeing the devils quickly approaching them.

Amalia swung her long blade.

She hadn’t yet mastered the blade techniques that were taught by her master, but ever since she cultivated the True Sun Spirit thod, she felt her spiritual power had beco much stronger than before.

The blade trembled slightly as if it too was eager to strike.

Recently, Amalia had started to understand why her master said that nurturing a weapon of one’s own was the best approach.

The blade light cut through the air, landing directly on the devil at the front.

Dura Jin and the other two disciples heard a terrible scream from the devil.

When they turned back, they saw a sharp and fierce blade light instantly pierce the devil’s forehead, splitting its head open and revealing a green crystal core, which emitted a faint green light.

The three of them were left with their mouths agape.

Dura Jin suddenly slapped his fellow disciple on the right.

The fellow disciple clutched his cheek and looked at him accusingly, "Why did you hit ?"

"Does it hurt?" Dura Jin asked.

"Of course it hurts, idiot," the fellow disciple replied.

Dura Jin looked excited, and said, "Good, that ans we’re not dreaming. Two leader-level devils were taken down by soone at our cultivation level."

The three of them looked at Amalia with excitent and awe.

But then they saw her walking towards the fallen devils, his expression turning to fear.

They quickly shouted, "Don’t touch them!"

Amalia’s hand stopped mid-air upon hearing the shout, and she looked at the three of them with suspicion.

Dura Jin and the others ran over, hurriedly pulling her back.

Dura Jin saw her confused expression and explained, "Senior Sister, for leader-level devils, it’s best not to touch them until you’re sure their primordial spirit is completely dead. So devils like to fake their death and possess the unsuspecting cultivators. Their primordial spirits are tricky and can assimilate with cultivators, turning them into sothing neither human nor ghost."

"Hey, these two devils seem to be truly dead," remarked the fellow disciple who was inspecting the devil’s corpses.

Gathering his courage, he walked over and confird that the devils’ primordial spirits had indeed vanished.

The three of them looked at Amalia with shock.

Amalia resud her previous action, trying to extract the green crystal core from the corpse.

But as soon as she touched the devil’s body, the two devils disappeared.

"Senior Sister, this is an illusion formation. The devils are fake," Dura Jin coughed lightly.

Amalia responded with a sound of acknowledgnt, "And you are also fake."

Ignoring them, Amalia chose a direction and prepared to leave.

Suddenly, she turned back and asked, "Why are you following ?"

Dura Jin was pushed forward and, with a flattering smile, said, "Senior Sister, you’re so powerful. We’ve been here for a day and still can’t find a way out. Can we follow you?"

"Follow if you want, but don’t disturb ," Amalia said as she turned around and walked away.

The three of them imdiately followed her with joy.

A few hours later, Dura Jin and the others watched as Amalia remained in the sa spot after finding a formation, not moving a single step.

They then understood why she had told them not to disturb her—she was studying the formation.

"This isn’t a solution. We need to break through to get out," the fellow disciple remarked.

"But there are devils everywhere," Dura Jin replied.

He was curious about Amalia’s background.

In the main peak, he had never heard of a Foundation Building stage cultivator who could kill leader-level devils with one strike.

"But this formation is the Luminous Gold Formation, one of the famous killing formations. Even if its power and complexity aren’t as great as the real Luminous Gold Formation, who knows how long it will take her to study it? If we wait here, people might think we’re trapped in the formation," Dura Jin added.

Dura Jin fell silent, "It’s not like we’re not already trapped in the formation."

At that mont, they suddenly felt a wave of energy.

In the void, a transparent thin veil appeared, becoming visible before slowly fading away until it disappeared completely.

Amalia stood up.

After more than three hours, she had finally thoroughly studied this nested formation.

The Luminous Gold Formation, upon entry, would emit thunderous sounds and beams of golden light.

Anyone illuminated by it would imdiately turn into thick blood—that’s the nature of this killing formation.
