A spatial rift suddenly appeared in the void above.

Not long after that, the dark hole spat out two figures and closed again, disappearing instantly.

After a while, one figure on the ground began to stir and then stood up.

Not caring about her own blood-covered body, she walked over to Kenny Lin and turned him over.

"If you’re not dead, get up," Amalia said while giving him a gentle kick.

"Let lie here a little bit longer," Kenny Lin gasped.

Amalia ignored him and began to calculating what she had to restore her spiritual energy, only to find that she had nothing left.

The amount of energy they consud inside the spatial rift was far greater than she had anticipated.

They had been inside for over two hours.

All their spiritual artifacts were used up, and they had to sacrifice one after another to defend against the intense black winds within the rift.

The items given to them by the Sea King were also depleted.

The energy required to closing the spatial rift was far more than they had estimated.

They had crushed countless high-level crystal cores.

Finally, as they exhausted their resources, they saw the light of day and were spat out by the rift.

Only after the experience did they realize how perilous it was inside the spatial rift.

The Yin-Yang Pearl is already damaged, ceased functioning after they finished closing the rift.

When they were in crisis, it was Amalia’s Soltice Ring that suddenly activated and saved them.

Amalia only then discovered that what he had thought was rely a storage item was actually a defensive-type artifact as well.

However, to maintain the shield of the Soltice Ring, he had to continuously channel energy into it.

Now, Amalia had no spiritual energy left in her body.

All her amulets, dicinal materials, spirit stones, spirit beads, and crystals were completely used up.

Around them was a vast, white desert, with nothing but the sound of the wind and no other figures in sight.

They were unsure whether this was another world or if they had returned to Earth, only to end up in one of its deserts.

"The spiritual energy here is so dense," Kenny Lin said whilesitting up after a few monts.

His body instinctively absorbing the spiritual energy from the air.

"Earth’s deserts couldn’t possibly have such dense spiritual energy. It seems we’ve really arrived in another world," Amalia mused.

Already, she felt her ridians being nourished, and the pain and burning sensation had mostly disappeared.

Kenny Lin glanced at her and smirked, "After spending so much ti in the spatial rift, if we were still on Earth, I’d be too embarrassed to go back."

Amalia’s mouth twitched.

He was right; returning to Fruit Country like this would be too humiliating.

"Let’s cultivate here for a while until we’ve recovered enough. Then we can look for a way out."

"I’m afraid we won’t get the chance," Kenny Lin suddenly said.

Amalia quickly realized why.

She heard rustling sounds around them.

In the vast, endless desert, a small bumps appeared in the sandy ground, and so black objects began to erge.

They were spiders, slightly larger than normal ones, but unlike the mutated spiders on Earth, these creatures didn’t have exaggerated sizes.

These spiders appeared in swarms, and before long, a large group of them had erged, glaring at them nacingly.

"Do you have any spiritual energy left?" Amalia asked nervously while swallowing her saliva hard.

"Spiritual energy? Of course, but..." Kenny Lin panted, "I don’t have any right now."

"Then what are we waiting for? Run!"

Amalia rolled her eyes and turned around to sprint away.

"Wait for !" Kenny Lin quickly followed her.

The spiders whose seeing their prey escape, imdiately gave chase.

Both of them had barely any spiritual energy left in their ridians.

Flying was out of the question—if they could, they would have already taken care of these spiders.

After running for more than half an hour, Amalia glanced back.

She saw that the swarm of spiders had grown even larger and denser, making her scalp tingle with fear.

These spiders were relentless, continuing their pursuit even though they couldn’t catch up.

After a while, Kenny Lin suddenly stopped and swung his sword.

Although the sword light wasn’t as sharp as usual, it still managed to cut down dozens of spiders.

The spider swarm hesitated montarily before surging forward with even greater intensity.

Amalia had also recovered a little bit of spiritual energy.

She set the spiders on fire.

The spiders reacted as if they had t their nesis.

Those at the rear imdiately retreated in fear.

The spiders that were caught in the flas were quickly roasted.

Amalia was stunned by the effectiveness.

"Can we eat roasted spider tonight?" Kenny Lin asked, drooling.

"If you’re not afraid of poison, go ahead."

"I’m not afraid. I have the Yin-Yang Pearl."

Amalia rembered that Kenny Lin was now immune to all poisons.

Together, they managed to eliminate the spiders that was chasing them.

Most of the spiders were cut down by Kenny Lin’s sword light.

He was stronger and recovered faster.

The Yin-Yang Pearl seed to absorb spiritual energy on its own.

The spiders were all afraid of fire, so most of them avoided Amalia and sward towards Kenny Lin instead.

Ignoring the spiders that were being sliced apart, Kenny Lin grabbed a roasted spider and actually took a bite.

"How does it taste?" Amalia asked curiously.

Kenny Lin’s expression turned strange, "Terrible. It really is poisonous. But sohow, the Yin-Yang Pearl can absorb and convert the spider at into spiritual energy."

Amalia promptly picked up a dozen roasted spiders and handed them to him, "Eat more so we can get moving."

Given the situation, there were likely many more dangers lurking in the desert.

They couldn’t afford to stay still for long.

Kenny Lin looked disgusted, "It’s too awful. I can’t eat any more."

"Do you want to roast them differently?"
