Wealth clapped its paws in admiration.

Its owner had figured it all out.

If it had tried to think of it alone, it would have been impossible.

Kenny Lin glanced at his sycophantic son, "This is normal reasoning. It’s not because your mom is too smart but because you’re too dumb, do you understand?"

Wealth puffed up in indignation and imdiately complained to Amalia.

"Don’t bully it. We have important matters to attend to," Amalia said while giving Kenny Lin a look.

Kenny Lin shrugged his shoulder, thinking the truth shouldn’t be so unwelco.

"The internal conflicts among the mutated creatures are more complex than I imagined. The turtle clan is generally very docile, yet this one betrayed its ’King.’ What exactly is the ’King’ suppressing that requires the personal attention of the King Of Sea’s tribe, and never leaving its side?"

This speculation required so serious thinking, and Amalia had gathered so much information that she needed ti to sort it all out.

Kenny Lin squinted his eyes, "A creature stronger than the ’King’ that was capable of destroying Earth and be fixed in one place? That seems impossible. How did that black crystal appear? It’s indestructible, and human spiritual cultivators couldn’t do anything to it, yet it shattered into so many pieces. Could its appearance on Earth be related to it? But it couldn’t have appeared out of thin air, unless..."

"A spatial rift?"

Their voices rang out simultaneously.

Amalia suddenly grabbed Wealth, and Kenny Lin guided them both as they swiftly swam upwards.

In just a few monts, they surfaced from the water, covering a distance of over ten thousand ters.

At this point, they were already outside the Sea of Death, about a hundred miles away.

For Tier 1 spiritual cultivators, this wasn’t far—just a matter of minutes.

Kenny Lin flew them over, transforming into an aurora that streaked across the sky at nearly the speed of light.

"Sir?"

A subordinate noticed the blue octopus stop suddenly and look up.

The blue octopus raised a tentacle while pointing in the direction Kenny Lin had flown.

"There’s a human spiritual cultivator’s presence nearby."

"Could it be the human who killed the sea turtle?"

"Not sure, but we were tracking in that direction, so it’s quite possible. Let’s chase them and take a look. Even if it’s not them, they might be associated with the . We can catch them and question them," the blue octopus said with a determined gleam in its eyes, "Let’s go."

Before long, Kenny Lin brought Amalia and Wealth to the vicinity of the Sea of Death.

Wealth sensed they had stopped and peeked out, suddenly calling out in excitent.

It had seen sothing that matched what the mutated sea turtle had described.

Amalia followed its gaze.

In the void ahead, there was a black rift, several centiters wide that was constantly spewing fierce winds.

A mutated bird flying nearby was struck by the wind, and then plumting into the sea, never to resurface again.

"It’s indeed a spatial rift," Amalia’s heart sank with the realization.

A spatial rift would complicate things imnsely.

"A spatial rift at the bottom of the sea is certainly intriguing. This rift might be even larger than the one above the Sea of Death. Over the years, there’s been so interesting data about it," Kenny Lin remarked with a smile.

Amalia couldn’t believe he could still smile amidst all this, "What data?"

"The ocean’s water has been decreasing, which is directly related to why the disaster zones keeps expanding. The amount lost every year is very significant."

Seventy percent of Earth is covered by water.

Once the oceans dry up entirely, all the marine life will face a threat to their existence.

So, nature gave them the chance to evolve, but this opportunity would take a long ti to materialize.

Higher-level mutated creatures have the chance to transform into humans and no longer relying on the sea to survive.

However, many more marine creatures cannot survive without the ocean.

If that mutated creature is indeed the king of the sea, it could explain why it volunteered to guard that area.

"But hasn’t the coastline been receding?" Amalia asked.

What good is it for that ’king’ to do this?

"The power of the spatial rift is sothing that human or other force can’t resist. We can only delay the crisis and extend the ti we have," Kenny Lin explained.

"If that’s the case, isn’t that mutated creature also protecting humans? The spatial rift threatens both humans and marine life. Wouldn’t it be better for us to cooperate?"

Amalia didn’t quite understand.

After so many years, cooperation should be achievable if both sides sat down to talk.

"If we truly negotiate, it will involve many complexities. Two different species finding harmony is difficult, and those marine life may not trust humans."

For countless years, humans have rcilessly slaughtered marine life.

To humans, creatures in the sea might just be another item on the dinner plate.

Two races that can’t find harmony from any angle, cooperating could bring peace for only a few years.

"Moreover, the imnse power of the black fragnts. The human higher-ups will never allow these things to remain solely in the hands of mutated creatures. How would we negotiate its ownership? That mutated creature is very clever; it must have already considered these questions, which is why it never sent its underlings to negotiate with the human authorities."

Handling such matters would face many issues that cannot be resolved through negotiation.

Amalia was already feeling a headache just thinking about it.

Moreover, if the human authorities knew about the existence of the spatial rift, it’s hard to predict what actions they might take.

"This can’t go on," Amalia said.

Kenny Lin shrugged, "The real situation, we’ve already clarified. What cos next isn’t our concern."

He bluntly excluded himself.

It’s better to leave the thankless task for others to handle.

He only wanted to enjoy so sunflower seeds.

"Alright, let’s leave this area for now," Amalia conceded.
