When it landed back in the sea, it caused massive waves once again.
In the sea, swimming to and fro, a pair of hidden eyes unwillingly watched Kenny Lin and Amalia fly swiftly past overhead.
This kind of situation was almost routine on the sea.
It wasn’t until they reached calm waters that they dove into the sea.
Being conspicuous on the surface attracted too much attention, so it was more convenient underwater.
If they encountered any strange sound waves, they could let Wealth know in advance to steer clear.
Their greatest asset was not Amalia’s Soltice Ring or Kenny Lin unique spiritual veins, but Wealth.
"Wealth, oh Wealth, it’s your turn next. Dad has been good to you, hasn’t he? Always being a fat blob waiting to die won’t get you a wife in the future," Kenny Lin said, affectionately patting Wealth’s head.
Wealth looked utterly bewildered.
What did these things have to do with each other?
And why would it want to find a wife?
It quite liked its life as it was and had no desire to change it.
"Don’t bully it," Amalia said while taking Wealth from him.
"When did you see bully it?" Kenny Lin raised an eyebrow, feeling displeased.
Amalia said, "Both of my eyes saw it."
Wealth rolled its eyes in tandem, making Kenny Lin even more annoyed.
It reached out his hand to smack it.
Just as Amalia was about to stop him, its claw suddenly scratched her chest.
As Wealth’s strength increased, its claws beca sharper.
With one swipe, it left a white mark on her protective armor.
You see, her protective armor was not low in grade, and it was a particularly difficult thing to create it.
She had only crafted a few pieces alongside her artifact.
In theory, Wealth’s unconscious swipe shouldn’t have even left a trace.
"Does it really think it’s my son?" Kenny Lin suddenly said.
Amalia was montarily stunned, and only when he pulled Wealth out did she understand what he ant.
A pair of distinct black and white eyes had turned as red as Kenny Lin’s in just this short while.
—One big, one small, two pairs of red eyes, indeed looking a little bit like father and son.
"What’s wrong with its eyes?" Amalia asked, restraining its restless claws while directing the question at Kenny Lin.
Kenny Lin looked puzzled, "How would I know? Maybe it’s trying to imitate ?"
"Because you have experience," Amalia remarked, referring to his two red eyes.
Kenny Lin felt particularly innocent in this situation.
"When we were at Twilight Abyss Waters, a similar situation occurred because of the black fragnts. Now, we’re in the sea, and the symptoms are just as obvious even though we can’t see any traces," Amalia continued, pondering aloud.
Kenny Lin took up the conversation, "So, this ans there are also black fragnts nearby?"
"No, I think that’s unlikely. If that mutated creature was collecting black fragnts, it wouldn’t leave any in this sea. Neither of us has sensed the presence of powerful high-level marine-type mutated creatures here, so the likelihood is low," Amalia reasoned.
Kenny Lin’s expression turned thoughtful, "That implies it’s being drawn by a potentially larger black fragnt. When all the smaller black fragnts co together, their impact on mutated creatures multiplies."
"This would explain why we see so few marine-type mutated creatures in this area," Amalia agreed.
Even in the calst seas, there should be so disturbance, especially in a mutated environnt, because everything would be drawn away.
Kenny Lin smiled, "This also ans that the largest black fragnt is not far from us."
Although Wealth was feeling a little bit uneasy, it was just a hint of anxiety.
As they left the quiet sea area, they encountered truly dangerous situations.
Nevertheless, Wealth managed to maintain its sanity.
Throughout their journey, they encountered mutated creatures of varying levels, whether interdiate or higher, and each encounter led to a battle.
The sea surged with towering waves, higher than their bodies, magnificent yet perilous.
The nearby waters were filled with dismbered marine-type mutated creatures and blood, turning the sea into a crimson expanse.
As Amalia observed and checked on Wealth’s condition, she was surprised to find that the closer they got to their target, the clearer Wealth’s mind beca.
By the end, there were no signs of any influence.
"What’s going on?" Amalia wondered.
Kenny Lin followed her gaze towards Wealth, "What else? It previously swallowed several black fragnts, so it possibly gained so immunity from it."
Kenny Lin thought for a mont before adding, "I heard that most mutated creatures only absorb the energy from black fragnts, not swallow them whole."
Amalia was stunned and slowly looked up, "..."
Kenny Lin smirked, "So, your ’son’ did sothing quite extraordinary. Do you know how long it takes for a high-level mutated creature to absorb even a small black fragnt?"
Amalia: "..."
Kenny Lin continued, "Even a fragnt smaller than a pinky finger contains imnse energy. A high-level mutated creature can train for years with just one, and it seems to regenerate and recycle its energy."
"Wealth ate several pieces at once, didn’t die, and hasn’t advanced much—he still looks like a failure. How many miracles is that?"
Amalia listened to his awed tone, her mouth twitching.
How could she have known?
If Wealth hadn’t shown such a craving for the black fragnts and remained unaffected after eating one, she wouldn’t have given him two more.
"Could there be side effects?" Amalia asked, concerned.
"At present, apparently not. But in the future, who knows?"
Amalia could only set aside her worries for now; after all, so much ti had passed without any adverse reactions.
With Wealth leading the way, they headed straight for their destination.
The closer they got to the black fragnts, the more intense the reactions of the marine-type mutated creatures beca.
By the end, they had encountered several high-level mutated creatures engaged in fierce battles.
Sotis, they passed by just as the battles were concluding.
