The female protagonist’s moods who is rejected several tis by the male protagonist beco worse each day and leading to quarrel between them.
As a result, the female lead beca increasingly upset and eventually stord out and slamd the door.
When she co out she et with the second male lead outside.
Unlike the male lead, the second male lead was very gentle and caring.
He offering support for the female protagonist without prying into their relationship, making him seem more like the female lead’s ideal partner.
Kenny Lin stared at the second male lead who is comforting the female lead with a gentle smile.
He then suddenly turned around and walked out.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw Amalia and Javier Hermandez talking in front of the villa.
Involuntarily, his mind overlaid the two of them with the characters from the period drama he had just watched, and his expression grew even darker.
Javier Hermandez suddenly felt a surge of hostility toward him, and the temperature in the air dropped several degrees, leaving him bewildered.
What had happened?
Amalia also wanted to know what had happened.
Why did Kenny Lin suddenly run out, with such a grim expression on his handso face that it seed like it could freeze people into ice blocks at any mont?
"Why are you out again?" Amalia asked with a hint of concern.
Who had offended this guy?
Javier Hermandez couldn’t help but wonder if it was him.
But, he hadn’t said anything, after all.
Kenny Lin’s cold gaze, as icy as eternal frost, glanced at the two of them.
"Weren’t you going to make a phone call?"
Amalia nodded, "I happened to run into Javier Hermandez, so we chatted for a little bit."
She also want to asked him about the central disaster zone.
Javier Hermandez felt like Kenny Lin’s gaze was a little bit strange.
Since he had sothing else to attend to, he took the initiative to bid farewell.
"You two can continue chatting. I’ll take my leave first."
In Kenny Lin’s mind, he recalled the scene of the second male lead comforting the female lead after seeing the male lead.
The second male lead didn’t rudely leave but instead he embraced the female lead, and offering her a comfort.
He was more satisfied with Javier Hermandez’s behavior now, and his cold deanor softened slightly.
Amalia glanced at him, and still finding him peculiar.
His complexion had gone from wintry to spring-like in a matter of monts.
"Are you still going to make the call?" Kenny Lin walked down the steps and asked.
"No, I’ll just send a ssage," Amalia replied, while putting away her communicator.
The two went back inside, and Amalia still hadn’t figured out why Kenny Lin had suddenly rushed out.
She had originally intended to call Yolanda Yoder and inform her that she agreed to et Fernando Yoder, but unexpectedly he et Javier Hermandez.
After so thought, she felt it wasn’t appropriate to discuss it outside.
She composed her decision into text and imdiately sent it out.
She thought Yolanda Yoder probably wouldn’t be staring at her communicator all the ti, but to her surprise, she replied to her just as she took a few steps away.
She initiating a direct video call with her.
Amalia didn’t really want her to see Kenny Lin, so she adjusted the angle before answering the call.
"Did you really agree to et your grandfather?" Yolanda Yoder asked again, uncertainly.
After all, it hadn’t been long since the last ti they t.
Amalia nodded, "Yes."
Yolanda Yoder breathed a sigh of relief, and smiling sincerely, "Thank you, Amalia. It was his greatest wish in life to see you before he passed away. Thank you for granting him that wish."
Amalia replied, "You’re welco."
Yolanda Yoder then asked her quickly, "So, when are you planning to et him? Let arrange it."
"Recently, the Yoder family might keep an eye on , or they might not let go. I also plan to visit the central disaster zone. I think I’ll wait until I co back from there before eting him," Amalia explained.
Yolanda Yoder furrowed her brows slightly, "Are you planning to go to the central disaster zone so soon? It’s very dangerous there, and it’ll take you a long ti to return. I’m afraid it might lead to other problems."
Most importantly, they had people on that side of the central disaster zone, and Raithwall Yoder must have already investigated about it too.
It was very likely that he knew they were looking for that person, and now he would be watching them even more closely.
Amalia didn’t know this, so she was clueless, "Are you worried about the Yoder family causing trouble?"
"That’s one reason," Yolanda Yoder hesitated, "and another reason is that I’m afraid your grandfather might not last until then."
Since Amalia had decided to et him, it wouldn’t be right for her to not to inquire about his health, "How is his health?"
"Not good. Over the years, your granduncle had hired many wood-type spiritual cultivators to help your grandpa expel the toxins from his body. At first, it had so effect and expelled quite a bit of it, but because the toxins had been in his body for a long ti, so of them have penetrated deep into his bones and can’t be completely cleared out. Now his body is getting weaker and weaker, and we don’t know how long he can hold on," Yolanda Yoder said with concern.
"Is there no other way?" Amalia asked.
Yolanda Yoder paused, she doesn’t know if she should ntion it.
Seeing there was a problem, Amalia asked, "Is there sothing you’re hesitant to say?"
Realizing that Amalia was Uncle Fernando’s granddaughter, and she would eventually find out about it sooner or later, so she no longer hesitated.
"There’s soone who might be able to help your grandfather expel the deeply rooted toxins from his body, but he’s in the central disaster zone now," Yolanda Yoder explained.
