Amalia let out a soft "hmm" and said no more.

The two of them continued deeper into the mountains.

The thick devil energy shrouded the forest, and the longer one stayed, the more uncomfortable it beca.

Before long, they reached their destination.

The devil passage wasn’t as large as Amalia had imagined.

It wasn’t so big black hole; rather, it was just a crack, only as wide as a palm.

Passing through it would be difficult.

Probably because the passage was so small that the devils couldn’t send too many forces at once.

That was why the Five Vein Tribes hadn’t been completely destroyed.

"Miss Amalia, do you think this passage can be closed?" Yeom Hwaryeon asked as he noticed Amalia staring intently at the crack.

The passage looked very similar to the spatial rift they had repaired back on Earth.

But back then, Kenny Lin had been there. Now, she was alone. She wasn’t entirely sure.

Amalia said, "I’ll have to try."

Yeom Hwaryeon was delighted. "Good, then try it first! As long as there’s a chance to repair it..." But halfway through his words, he suddenly sensed sothing wrong. "Miss Amalia, when you said ’try,’ you didn’t an you would personally try to repair it, right?"

When Amalia saw his astonished expression, she said, "I’ll try it myself first. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll call for help from my sect."

Only then did Yeom Hwaryeon breathe a sigh of relief. "But Miss Amalia, don’t you think we should first send soone to inform your elders at the Green Lotus Sect?"

"Elder Yeom, you don’t have to worry. The devils won’t co through here so quickly. The stronger their cultivation, the more they must stay stationed in their cities. Right now, the conflict between the devils and the human race is extrely tense. If a powerful devil were to leave, the human race would imdiately notice it. So the devils won’t act recklessly for now. But there’s sothing I’m curious about," Amalia said, her eyes still fixed on the passageway.

"What is it?"

"Why do the devils also want the Five Elental Pearl? They spent over a year setting up their plans. Your forr Chief should have ntioned sothing to you, right?"

"There’s actually nothing much to hide," Yeom Hwaryeon replied. "I don’t know exactly what the devils want to do with the Five Elental Pearl. But legend has it that the Five Elental Pearl is closely tied to the Immortal Realm. Even though the Immortal Realm has shattered and disappeared, no one dares to underestimate anything connected to it. It’s very likely the devils want to use the Five Elental Pearl for sothing." Saying this, Yeom Hwaryeon paused.

"You definitely can’t underestimate it," Amalia said. "Even fragnts of the Immortal Realm still contain a trace of powerful world force..." She suddenly stopped, her mind racing with a possibility.

Just then, the aura at the devil passageway suddenly flared up.

The black mist swirling at the entrance trembled violently, rolling out in heavy waves, surging outward like a raging tide.

"This is bad, it’s the devils," Yeom Hwaryeon’s face changed drastically.

He was all too familiar with this sight.

Amalia looked up at the devil passageway. Before long, a sharp claw gripped the edge of the crack, struggling to pull itself out.

"Elder Yeom, I don’t know how many devils are coming through. You go and alert the tribe."

Yeom Hwaryeon hesitated. "And you?"

Amalia smiled slightly, full of confidence. "I’ll stay here. Don’t worry, the passage is so narrow that they can only co out one at a ti. As long as an Emperor level devil doesn’t suddenly appear, I can handle it."

Yeom Hwaryeon was still a bit hesitant. He worried that an Emperor level devil might really show up. "But you’ll be taking a huge risk. After all, this matter concerns the Five Vein Tribes..."

Amalia cut him off. "I’ve already obtained the Five Elental Pearl. It’s extrely important to . This can be considered a fair trade. And since I promised, I’ll see it through. Elder Yeom, hurry up, there’s no ti."

Seeing a long, sinewy arm already stretching out from the devil passage, Yeom Hwaryeon no longer dared delay. "Miss Amalia, be careful. I’ll be back as soon as I can!"

Amalia nodded her head lightly. As soon as he left, she pulled out her long blade and flew into the air, fixing her eyes on the devil erging from the crack.

When the creature’s upper body finally wriggled through, its alert, bloodthirsty gaze t hers and froze for an instant.

Amalia smiled slightly and slashed down with her blade.

In an instant, the devil’s head flew off.

The fierce blade energy exploded at the sa ti, shattering the falling head and destroying the devil’s soul along with it.

She dragged the devil’s corpse out and tossed it away, making sure it didn’t fall back into the passage.

If it did and the devils behind caught sight of it, they might grow wary and stop coming through.

As expected, the devils behind were unaware.

One after another, they wriggled out of the crack—none of them left whole.

Each of them was annihilated on the spot and their souls completely obliterated.

Only after a long while, when the devils further back began to notice the heavy sll of blood lingering in the air, did they sense sothing was wrong.

After that, no more devils ca crawling out.

It seed the ones still lurking within had been completely frightened off.

Yeom Hwaryeon led the tribal warriors rushing over, expecting to find themselves in the middle of a brutal battle.

The stench of blood was heavy in the air, but what greeted them was the aftermath of a one-sided slaughter.

The corpses of devils were scattered across the ground. So missing their upper halves, others missing their lower halves.

The blood unique to devils splattered across the grass, the stones, the trees—staining everything red.

Everyone, except Yeom Hwaryeon, instinctively held their breath, staring at this scene in shock at the carnage.
