She then decided to visit Kenny Lin’s villa tonight, although without high expectations.
Each ti she entered the villa, it didn’t seem like anyone lived there.
By nightfall, owing to Zanilia Zhao’s return, the previously sparsely populated villa area began to show signs of activity.
Several houses had lights on, and occasionally, a few people could be seen heading in the sa direction – toward Kenny Lin’s villa.
As she approached the villa, Amalia caught sight from afar of a group of people surrounding a dazzling and a beautiful woman that was walking among them.
With just a glance, she confird having seen this woman before.
They had crossed paths in big apple city once.
It was a unilateral eting where she had spotted the woman dealing with octopus-like monsters the night they were attacked in the apartnt building where he and Kenny Lin lived.
Both of them were trapped under the debris, and when she erged, she saw this woman who is fighting the monsters.
Impressed by her strength, she had taken an extra look at her.
As they entered the villa next to Kenny Lin’s, if her guess was correct, this woman must be Zanilia Zhao.
According to the villa’s layout, the second one should rightfully be her residence.
Amalia suddenly hesitated.
Soone was in the adjacent villa, and if she entered now, there was a high chance of being discovered.
At the mont, she preferred to keep hier relationship with Kenny Lin under wraps.
"What’s wrong?" Marcello Yoder, the young man who had gone to big apple city with Zanilia Zhao, noticed her who suddenly looking back.
"Nothing, i’m just saw a stranger," Zanilia Zhao said, she just having sensed a gaze and when she turned her head, she just see the person walking away.
"If it’s a stranger, nothing worth seeing. Co in quickly; let’s celebrate tonight’s great harvest," Marcello Yoder imdiately pulled her into the villa and closed the door.
Zanilia Zhao sighed, "No need for celebrations; soone hasn’t returned yet."
Marcello Yoder imdiately caught on to whom she referred to.
The only person who mattered to Zanilia Zhao was that annoying guy surnad Lin, "That guy’s been gone for so long; who knows if he’s even alive."
"Marcello, don’t say that," Zanilia Zhao frowned.
However, when she realize it was for his sake, she softened her tone, "According to my grandfather, he’s back at the Lin house and will probably co to school in a couple of days. Let’s not speak ill of him in front of him."
Marcello Yoder’s expression worsened, and looking displeased, "He didn’t show up in the past two sessions; is he planning to participate in the competitions this ti? He conveniently disappears all this ti, and now suddenly appears. This seems intentional!"
Bringing up this matter always irked him, and there was more to the story.
Due to Kenny Lin’s absence in the previous two internal ranking competitions, there have always been voices in school suggesting that Zanilia Zhao’s 1st place achievent wasn’t entirely deserved.
They claim that if Kenny Lin were present, Zanilia Zhao would perennially be second best.
When Marcello Yoder heard this kind of talk for the first ti, he ended up getting into a fight with the person who said it, and leaving the other person half-dead.
He later received a severe reprimand for it, but he doesn’t regret his actions.
Zanilia Zhao wasn’t worried that Marcello Yoder would actually do sothing to Kenny Lin; even with ten tis of the courage, he wouldn’t dare.
His concern was Kenny Lin’s potential return, and leading to more rumors and fights.
"This ti can’t be like before. Words co from others’ mouths, and we can’t control them. The last severe reprimand is still on record; another one would an expulsion, understood?"
"Got it, I’m not stupid," Marcello Yoder replied.
He didn’t want to be expelled either and secretly thought that if soone dared speak ill of Zanilia Zhao in front of him again, he’d secretly arrange a beating.
Kenny Lin’s return ho was like dropping a bomb in the Lin family.
Since he started going out for missions, the number of tis he returned each year could be counted on both hands.
His family missed him dearly, especially the few younger relatives who admired him very much, like Judia Lin, as well as Mikel Sabate.
Upon hearing the news, they rushed over Imdiately.
They watched their little uncle’s silhouette, the one they yearned for day and night was emitting an otherworldly aura as he spoke with their grandfather.
"Little uncle not only possesses great strength but is also becoming more handso," Mikel Sabate thought that as long as he could watch his little uncle from afar every day, he would be content.
"Nonsense," Judia Lin coldly glanced at him.
That icy deanor was learned from Kenny Lin, and a common sight for a devoted fan like her.
Then, side by side, the two stared at the tall and straight back of their little uncle that was radiating an otherworldly charm.
Their expressions enamored as if absorbing the brilliance of the sun and moon.
This was the scene Cassandra Lin saw when she entered.
Every ti she witnessed this, it amused her greatly.
It wasn’t just her imagination but her two younger siblings genuinely worshipping their little uncle like a deity very much, even though it was a little bit excessive.
Clearly, their little uncle exuded an air of aloofness and detachnt, yet they managed to perceive it as an otherworldly aura.
Cassandra Lin looked at her little uncle, who was talking with their grandfather, and sighed.
Tall and elegant, possessing a rare grace, he was like a character from ancient stories, soone who is too perfect to be real.
Previously, she thought such individuals only existed in books, but encountering her little uncle taught her that reality could be more fantastical and unreal than anything in literature.
From her perspective, the person speaking—is only Mr. Lin, her granfather—who seed like the only one present.
