Amalia had no problem letting them know about this matter.
She had never intended to hide anything in the first place—otherwise, the Crimson Snake Emperor wouldn’t have been able to investigate her and Kenny Lin’s actions.
So it was a vendetta for the annihilation of her family.
The Crimson Snake Emperor hadn’t considered this possibility, but now it made perfect sense.
No wonder they hadn’t even attempted negotiations and had instead gone straight to attacking the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth.
Suppressing his inner delight, the Crimson Snake Emperor said, "I do know a little about the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth. Their leader’s real na is Hsu Ziyan, and he seems to have so connection with the Grand Elder..."
"Where is your Grand Elder?" Amalia interrupted.
The Crimson Snake Emperor was montarily caught off guard. "The Grand Elder is in seclusion. He likely won’t co out anyti soon."
"If you want answers, let tell you instead." At that mont, the Second Elder entered the room.
The Crimson Snake Emperor greeted him, "Second Elder, what brings you here?"
The Second Elder didn’t respond to him.
Instead, he turned to Amalia and Kenny Lin.
"Nine hundred years ago, Hsu Ziyan was not yet the leader of the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth. He and the Grand Elder were both candidates for the position of Supre Commander’s successor—they could be considered senior and junior disciples. Later, when trouble arose in the Andarion Star System, both of them were sent there, where they discovered the thods of cultivation. Shortly after, Pleiadian Ascendancy was founded, but only a few years later, Hsu Ziyan left. It was said to be due to ideological differences with the Grand Elder."
"And in reality?"
The Second Elder sighed. "Hsu Ziyan is a man of great personal ambition, and his thods are cruel. The Supre Commander actually favored the Grand Elder more. In private, he once remarked that Hsu Ziyan lacked the compassion and tolerance that a true strong leader should possess. Later events proved this assessnt to be true."
"During his cultivation, Hsu Ziyan advocated for severing all emotions and attachnts, believing that the Path of Heartlessness would allow him to ascend to immortality more swiftly. He nearly succumbed to demonic obsession. The Grand Elder tried to dissuade him, but he refused to listen. Then, one day, Hsu Ziyan suddenly vanished. By the ti we realized he was missing, his entire family had already been slaughtered."
"He killed his own family?" Amalia asked, her expression unreadable.
The Second Elder hesitated, then nodded. "The Grand Elder’s investigation confird that Hsu Ziyan was responsible. He did it in pursuit of his so-called the Path of Heartless. Later, when the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth rose to power, the Grand Elder finally understood—Hsu Ziyan had left to establish his own sect, recruiting only the most ruthless and wicked people."
Amalia pondered this. "Under the cosmic laws, even if his Path of Heartless allows him to gain power faster, it shouldn’t allow him to surpass the restrictions of those laws. Yet, if his only goal is strength, why did he establish the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth?"
"To seek more opportunities. The passage to the depths of the Andarion Star System is controlled by the Crimson Moon Dynasty. Having betrayed the Crimson Moon Dynasty, he could no longer benefit from its resources. The Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth is essentially his personal tool, an extension of his power. He will stop at nothing to achieve immortality."
"If the Grand Elder had been decisive back then, perhaps things wouldn’t have co to this," the Second Elder said with regret.
"Oh?"
"The Grand Elder once had a chance to kill Hsu Ziyan. But when Hsu Ziyan was a child, he suffered a misfortune, and it was the Grand Elder who saved him. He always believed that Hsu Ziyan wasn’t inherently evil. That mont of rcy cost him the opportunity to act. And now, the injuries he sustained weren’t from an alien battle—it was Hsu Ziyan. He ambushed the Grand Elder while he was fighting a top alien warrior."
The Second Elder’s expression darkened with anger.
He had never seen such an ungrateful man.
Amalia didn’t comnt on the past. Instead, she asked, "So, the chances of Hsu Ziyan heading to the Andarion Star System are quite high?"
"Yes. The reason we set our departure for half a month later is also related to the conditions in the Andarion Star System." The Second Elder steadied himself, pushing aside old mories.
"The passage leading to the depths of the Andarion Star System isn’t always open. Out of a full year, at least 335 days are sealed off by teor storms, gravitational anomalies, and shifting black holes. During those tis, it’s nearly impossible to enter or exit safely. Even the strongest cultivators wouldn’t dare to venture in. Only thirty days of the year are relatively safe."
"And half a month from now marks the beginning of that period?"
"Exactly. That one-month window is when the Andarion Star System is at its safest—relatively speaking. There are still dangers. But Hsu Ziyan won’t miss this opportunity. He and the Grand Elder are of the sa generation, and reaching this stage of cultivation hasn’t been easy for either of them. His ti is running out, which is why he’s acting so urgently. No one knows what the conditions will be next year, so we are 90% certain he will go to the Andarion Star System."
