This humiliation would have to be swallowed for now.

Once the intruders had disappeared inside, the guards quietly moved forward to help their fallen comrade up.

anwhile, an invisible battleship floated in space, radiating a mysterious glow—completely unseen by anyone.

Major General Rafiq entered the control room of the battleship, where everyone was busy at their stations.

"Any luck? Have we found a way to establish contact?"

"Not yet," Officer Khan replied. "Finding a safe and reliable communication channel within the aliens’ network isn’t easy. But we did manage to intercept so transmissions."

"What transmissions?"

Officer Khan translated the intercepted ssages into readable text and handed them to the general.

"This one."

Major General Rafiq scanned the docunt, his expression growing increasingly grim. "As expected. My worst fears have co true."

"What are you worried about?" A voice ca from the doorway.

Amalia stood there, her figure silhouetted against the light, her expression unreadable.

"The empire, in preparation for the upcoming war, is likely seeking assistance from certain... underground forces. These groups will undoubtedly demand unreasonable conditions, and if the empire complies, they will fall right into their trap," Major General Rafiq explained.

"You an underground black markets and space pirates?" Amalia imdiately pinpointed his concerns.

Major General Rafiq was montarily surprised.

He had assud that Amalia wouldn’t know about these matters, as her actions often seed sowhat out of sync with this world.

"Yes."

However, he did not dwell on it and instead admitted it outright.

"These factions rarely have a sense of honor or shared fate with the empire. What they care about is the profit they can gain for themselves. If the empire agrees to their demands, it will inevitably descend into chaos in the future."

Major General Rafiq handed Amalia the intercepted text from Officer Khan.

"This is what Officer Khan just intercepted. A group of space pirates appears to be preparing to collaborate with the aliens."

"Aliens look down on humans. Would they truly cooperate with pirates in good faith?" Amalia, based on her understanding of the aliens, doubted their sincerity.

Even if they agreed to an alliance, it would most likely be for their own gain, a re ploy for manipulation.

"Of course not. Once they’ve used them, they’ll discard them without hesitation. The aliens are more than capable of such treachery. But whether the pirates have their own ulterior motives remains uncertain."

"Hmm, so what do you want to do now? Will you inform the Emperor of the Draconis Empire?"

Major General Rafiq fell silent for a mont. "It may already be too late."

Amalia suddenly let out a soft chuckle. "What are you so worried about? If the pirates can turn on their allies, why can’t the empire do the sa? If you ask , your concerns are unnecessary."

"As long as your strength is sufficient, do you really need to fear these factions? Once they witness your overwhelming power, they won’t even dare bring up their demands. These people aren’t fools—they know how to weigh the risks and maximize their own benefits."

Major General Rafiq and Officer Khan stared at her.

She saw through the situation with such clarity.

While her thinking carried a certain ruthless pragmatism, there was no denying its effectiveness.

At this mont, were they truly weaker than the black market and space pirates?

Probably not.

"In any case, don’t worry too much. As long as the war isn’t over, anything is possible. If there’s no path forward—then create one yourself."

With that, Amalia turned around and left, as if she had only co to clear up their doubts.

"Without absolute power, how can one forge their own path?" Officer Khan mused.

"Then let’s beco stronger," Major General Rafiq replied, feeling deeply moved. "She’s right. eting them has been our greatest fortune. If I hadn’t already sworn allegiance, I might have chosen to follow them myself."

"General, is it really that serious?" Officer Khan was stunned.

Major General Rafiq chuckled. "Why wouldn’t it be? Tell , if it were anyone else, would they have helped us so unconditionally?"

Officer Khan thought of the other cultivators the general had ntioned before.

Compared to them, these two heroes were generous to an awe-inspiring degree.

"General, your foresight is truly admirable," Officer Khan said, recalling how the general had handed over an entire army of ten thousand soldiers to them without hesitation.

"It’s not about deep foresight—I’m simply responsible for my soldiers," Major General Rafiq said.

From the mont he first laid eyes on them, he could tell that Amalia and Kenny Lin were no ordinary people.

Officer Khan hesitated for a mont. "General, aren’t you afraid that they might have ulterior motives?"

Although he respected the strength of Amalia and Kenny Lin, it still seed suspicious.

Two imnsely powerful people had appeared out of nowhere and helped them unconditionally.

No matter how he looked at it, sothing felt off.

Major General Rafiq smiled instead of scolding him and asked, "And what if they really do have hidden intentions against us?"

Officer Khan was at a loss for words.

Right—if they did have ulterior motives, could anyone stop them?

He recalled how Amalia had the ability to devour an entire planet—sothing even high-dinsional aliens couldn’t accomplish.

"Weakness breeds scheming," Major General Rafiq said as he patted Officer Khan lightly on the shoulder. "Alright, get back to finding that communication channel."

"Yes, General." At that mont, Officer Khan let go of all his doubts.

Outside the control room, Amalia had just left and was walking down the corridor when she noticed Kenny Lin leaning against the corner.

Half of his handso profile was shrouded in darkness, while the other half was touched by a faint shadow, giving him an even more enigmatic presence.

"You suddenly went over there and gave a whole lecture—what was that about? That’s not the Amalia I know. Since when did you care so much about other people’s business?"

"Who said I was ddling?" Amalia narrowed her eyes slightly. "I just realized sothing—no matter how small, even a mosquito is still at. Maybe I should reconsider my goals."
