Kenny Lin raised an eyebrow. "That slow?"

Tariq felt awkward.

They already thought it was pretty fast.

"The alien battleship isn’t that far from Shadron. If they traveled at full speed, they could probably arrive in an hour. But they have to recall their cha army from the battlefield in other planets, which takes ti."

Seeing no response from Kenny Lin, Tariq cautiously asked, "Mr. Kenny, what is Ms. Amalia doing?"

It was his first ti seeing soone kneel on one knee like this, and it seed particularly mysterious.

"She’s saving Shadron."

"Huh?" Tariq was utterly confused.

Kenny Lin suddenly thought of sothing. "After leaving Shadron, do you plan to return here in the future?"

Tariq thought for a mont and shook his head. "Shadron is no longer suitable to be habitated, so probably not."

Shadron had suffered over a year of warfare, leading to food shortages.

The lack of resources wasn’t solely due to the aliens—it was also because Shadron was ill-suited for developnt.

Moreover, many residents had lost their loved ones here.

If they managed to survive and escape this ti, they likely wouldn’t want to return.

"What if you could live in a place similar to Shadron?" Kenny Lin asked again.

Although Tariq found the statent a little bit strange, he couldn’t pinpoint why and replied, "That should be fine. People always have feelings of hosickness."

Kenny Lin nodded his head but didn’t say anything further.

Ti passed slowly, yet Amalia remained unresponsive.

The sun moved from its zenith towards sunset, casting Shadron in the glow of twilight.

Half of the scenery was hidden among the ruins, and the entire place exuded an air of desolation.

As darkness fell, Tariq and the others couldn’t sleep.

Dawn broke, ushering in a new day.

Rebirth or destruction—these were the only two choices weighing heavily on the soldiers.

Seeing Amalia still in the sa posture as the day before, Tariq was "nominated" by the others to step forward.

"Mr. Kenny, the aliens will be here soon. Shouldn’t we leave? And when will the lieutenant and the others co out?" Tariq approached Kenny Lin, eting his piercing black gaze, and asked hesitantly.

"Once Amalia awakens, they’ll co out, and we’ll leave," Kenny Lin replied without further explanation.

"And... when will Ms. Amalia wake up?" Tariq stamred.

Kenny Lin suddenly smiled at him. "That depends on when your holand agrees to her request."

Tariq was baffled.

What did he an by their holand agreeing to Ms. Amalia?

Was there sothing wrong with his comprehension?

"Mr. Kenny, what exactly are you talking about?"

Kenny Lin turned to look at Amalia.

Following his gaze, Tariq saw that Ms. Amalia had finally awakened.

Amalia opened her eyes and gave Kenny Lin a faint shake of her head.

She had spent the entire night sensing but couldn’t detect Shadron’s will.

It seed hopeless.

In such circumstances, it was either that Shadron’s will had already dissipated or that it refused to allow itself to be rged.

Amalia wasn’t particularly disappointed.

If Shadron were a living entity, no one would willingly choose to be consud.

"Then let’s go," Kenny Lin said decisively, jumping off the stone chair.

Hearing this, Tariq’s face lit up with a trace of joy. "Ms. Amalia, what about our lieutenant...?"

Amalia directed her consciousness into the small world.

Khalil, who demonstrated leadership skills, had already spent the day calming the panicked residents and arranging them properly.

She communicated her intent to bring him out.

The mont Khalil heard Amalia was sending him out, he quickly inford his subordinates, ensuring they wouldn’t be alard when others suddenly appeared, and then he stepped out.

"Lieutenant, how are you feeling?" Tariq imdiately approached the lieutenant, brimming with curiosity as he watched him erge out of thin air.

"Pretty good," Khalil replied, glancing sowhat sheepishly at Amalia.

That small world had initially been barren, but it was exceptionally safe.

It even had day and night cycles like the outside world, yet without any wild beasts.

Even camping out in the open, they didn’t have to worry about any dangers.

Such comfort and security tempted even him to reconsider their current situation.

For those who had endured over a year of war and turmoil, such stable days were nothing short of a dream co true.

It was this very stability that allowed Khalil to quickly calm everyone down.

If there was any flaw in that world, it was probably its relatively small size.

For a single person living there, it might feel suffocating, but with so many people, that concern disappeared entirely.

"We’ll leave Shadron next," Amalia announced.

No one had objections.

Avoiding the alien fleet’s battleship was undoubtedly the best course of action.

Everyone quickly boarded the spaceship.

As Amalia stepped onto the ship, she turned to glance back at the vast expanse of Shadron.

What a pity, she thought.

At that mont, a gust of wind swept past, producing a mournful, wailing sound.

Standing on the ground, Amalia seed to hear soone crying beside her ear.

The wind circled around her, as if reluctant to let her leave.

"What’s wrong?" Kenny Lin, who had climbed two steps up the gangway, noticed Amalia’s odd behavior and turned back to look at her.

Amalia took a deep breath. "I think I can sense the will of Shadron. It seems to want to stay... Perhaps it’s giving its consent?"

"Then why not give it a try?"

Amalia nodded her head slightly and began to communicate with the faint will using her divine sense.

The will was so weak that it would have been imperceptible without careful attunent.

She sent a clear ssage to it: if it chose to rge with her small world, it must not resist.

"You all take the spaceship to outer space first. We’ll catch up shortly," Kenny Lin turned around and instructed Khalil.

Khalil who had been waiting for them to board, was surprised. "The aliens are almost here. Are you staying behind?"

"We have sothing to finish," Kenny Lin replied, his tone indifferent.
