Regnum Tellus was sucked in by an unseen force, plunging swiftly into the vortex.
The next mont, the resistance reappeared, colliding with the raging gales.
The spatial turbulence erupted into chaos once more.
As Regnum Tellus was drawn into the black vortex, all the booming sounds abruptly vanished.
It felt as though they had entered a silent, lifeless space.
The surroundings were eerily still, devoid of any sound or movent—only deathly silence remained.
Amalia and Kenny Lin didn’t imdiately check where they were.
Instead, they rushed to Wealth’s side.
"Wealth, how do you feel now?" Amalia gently cradled his small body.
Wealth coughed up golden-red blood and weakly slumped in his mother’s arms. "Mom, I think I’m dying. Before I go, can you promise one thing?"
Wealth’s pitiful expression tugged at the heartstrings.
Amalia’s expression darkened, just about to reply, when a gusty slap ca flying toward Wealth’s forehead, full of vigor and montum.
Wealth’s face changed as well.
Without hesitation, he leaped out of Amalia’s arms and rolled to the side.
Amalia froze mid-movent, all her emotions lting into exasperated disbelief.
"I thought you said you were on the brink of death? How are you still jumping around?" Kenny Lin’s sarcastic voice followed closely.
Wealth glanced at his father and then when he looked at expression of his mother, he lowering his head in dejection. "I’m sorry."
He realized he should’ve gained more experience before attempting such a performance.
"A simple ’sorry’ is supposed to make up for the emotional trauma you’ve caused to your mother?" Kenny Lin pressed on rcilessly, stepping closer.
Wealth imdiately bolted upright and dashed 100 ters away in an instant.
"Enough, both of you, cut it out!" Amalia’s sharp voice broke through, her tone commanding.
She then turned to Kenny Lin, pointing an accusatory finger.
"And where do you think he learned this behavior? Reflect on yourself—do you think you have the moral high ground here?"
Kenny Lin sheepishly rubbed his nose.
Why so fierce?
He just couldn’t stand the fact that the cheeky brat had the audacity to mimic him so poorly—full of flaws and utterly unconvincing.
It annoyed him to no end.
"Behave yourselves, or deal with the consequences," Amalia warned in a calm but firm voice before ignoring them.
The father and son duo imdiately quieted down and nonchalantly returning to her side.
"Where are we now?" Amalia asked.
In the spatial turbulence, Wealth had previously opened the permissions, allowing them to see the flow of the turbulence.
However, after the distraction of his feigned demise, the view was no longer visible.
Wealth obediently replied, "It seems like we’re in a strange space. I don’t know exactly where this is."
"Open it up so I can take a look," Amalia instructed.
Wealth complied, quickly activating the display of Regnum Tellus.
Amalia froze as she stared at the scene before her.
"The cosmos?" Kenny Lin followed her gaze to behold a vast, starry expanse.
They hadn’t landed on a continent but were instead drifting through space.
Regnum Tellus floated alongside cosmic dust, gliding forward.
"Is this the one?" Kenny Lin asked, turning to Amalia.
Amalia shook her head gently. "I’m not sure."
She glanced back briefly at the black vortex that had helped them escape the spatial turbulence.
It was a black hole—a singularity ford from a collapsed celestial body.
Nothing could approach it without being forcibly sucked in and disintegrated beforehand.
The chaotic, violent winds surrounding it could obliterate anything.
In the world Amalia lived in during her previous life, such black holes were nurous.
It wasn’t surprising they had spotted a black dot earlier—it seed that fate had played its part.
At that mont, Regnum Tellus suddenly trembled.
The once-solid and sturdy ground split apart with a massive crack, nearly cleaving the world in two.
The only reason it didn’t completely split was likely due to the presence of the Inheritance Grounds.
The cracks disappeared when they approached the grounds.
"What’s happening?" Amalia snapped out of her thoughts, her tone full of concern.
Wealth wore a calm expression. "Nothing much, Mother. It’s just that Regnum Tellus is collapsing."
"Collapsing, and you’re saying it so nonchalantly? Will it affect you?" Amalia frowned deeply.
Wealth sighed inwardly.
He wanted to put on another act, but with his devil father watching him closely, he didn’t dare.
Considering his recent failure, he decided it was best to wait for another opportunity.
"It doesn’t affect much. This Regnum Tellus wasn’t mine to begin with. I was only granted temporary managent rights."
"What about the Inheritance Grounds?" Amalia asked, glancing at the solitary structure standing on the flat expanse.
She rembered the elders had ntioned that when future Pixiu eggs hatched, they would need to enter the Inheritance Grounds to receive its blessings.
"There are two options," Wealth said, raising his tiny paws. "One, we find a place to transfer the Inheritance Grounds out. Two, we make Regnum Tellus part of Mother’s small world."
"What does that an?" Amalia asked, still unsure of his implication.
"You’re suggesting Amalia absorb Regnum Tellus?" Kenny Lin seed to grasp the idea.
Wealth nodded. "Small worlds can rge with each other. I’ve ntioned before that one way to make a small world grow is by fusing it with another. However, during ancient tis, this practice was said to be forbidden."
"It’s natural—devouring other small worlds strengthens one’s own. Such a huge temptation would be hard for anyone to resist," Kenny Lin said, unsurprised.
"But if it’s done voluntarily, there’s no issue. If Mother absorbs Regnum Tellus, the Inheritance Grounds can also be placed within his small world. Once the other Pixiu eggs hatch, they can enter the Inheritance Grounds directly to inherit their Inheritance ."
"Are you sure you want to give Regnum Tellus to ?" Amalia asked seriously.
Wealth paused for a mont before replying to her, "Of course I’m sure."
After all, he was planning to follow his parents in the future.
Without them, where else would he go?
