When they arrived at the Artificer Peak, the faces of Amalia and Kenny Lin served as more effective passes than any official docunt—recognized and respected by all.
However, even the best credentials couldn’t summon soone who wasn’t present.
"Reply to Martial Uncle and Martial Aunt, the Peak Master left for the Devil Battlefield three days ago," a disciple stamred, his tone a mix of nervousness and excitent upon recognizing them.
This was his first ti seeing the two legends of their sect up close, and they were indeed as remarkable as the rumors claid—radiating elegance and grandeur like phoenixes and dragons.
"Why did Peak Master Qixing Huayue suddenly go to the Devil Battlefield?" Amalia asked in surprise.
"Don’t you know, Martial Uncle?" The disciple’s voice grew animated. "Recently, the sect issued a new reward system: as long as you accumulate enough rit points, you can exchange them for divine artifacts in the Treasure Pavilion!"
"Divine artifacts?" Amalia and Kenny Lin exchanged a glance. Could it be the batch of divine artifacts they had given to the Green Lotus Sect?
"Apparently, those divine artifacts were spoils from the Path of All Immortals expedition. The senior brothers are incredible! They managed to acquire more than a dozen divine artifacts in one go. What impresses us even more is that they donated all of them to the sect. If the Peak Master or others could obtain even one, their strength would grow exponentially," the disciple explained, his tone full of admiration.
At this point, Amalia and Kenny Lin were entirely certain that the divine artifacts the disciple referred to were the very ones they had sent to the Great Elder.
"Did Peak Master Qixing Huayue ntion when he might return?" Amalia asked further.
The disciple shook his head. "How could we disciples possibly know the Peak Master’s whereabouts? The Peak Master rarely discloses his plans. However, every ti he leaves, it takes at least two or three months before he cos back. Normally, the Vice Peak Master manages the Artificer Peak in his absence."
"Thank you."
The two of them left Artificer Peak without lingering further.
"What’s the Great Elder playing at? Those divine artifacts were clearly sent to the Green Lotus Sect by us, yet everyone thinks soone else donated them!" Kenny Lin started grumbling as soon as they descended the mountain.
"The Great Elder must have his reasons for doing so. Do you really want everyone to know that these divine artifacts ca from you alone? If that happens, you wouldn’t even need the Eternal Sect to make a move—the top experts across the entire Mystic Void Continent would ambush you," Amalia said, entirely unsurprised. She would have made the sa decision in his place.
"I’m not afraid of them. Worst-case scenario, I’d go into hiding and get my revenge one by one later," Kenny Lin said stubbornly.
Amalia smirked knowingly. "Of course, our Mighty Supre Lord Kenny Lin is a peerless talent who is unmatched by anyone."
Pleased with her response, Kenny Lin grinned. "So, where are we heading next? Or should we just return to Naless Peak?"
He preferred being alone with Amalia. Even if they didn’t talk and simply cultivated in silence, he enjoyed her company. Out in the world, they inevitably encountered people who dared to ogle her, sothing that always infuriated him.
"Let’s see if Elder Bon is free. We promised to learn the full version of the Heavenfall Annihilation Formation upon our return. Right now, apart from cultivating, we don’t have much else to do. It’s the perfect ti to focus on our studies," Amalia suggested.
"Alright," Kenny Lin agreed after a mont of thought. Learning formations with Amalia was still quality ti spent together. Besides, Elder Bon was unlikely to harbor any designs on her.
With their plan decided, the two headed straight for the main peak.
As soon as they arrived and stepped onto the plaza below, a white-robed disciple suddenly dashed past them in a flurry.
"Sothing’s wrong, Senior Brother! There’s a fight breaking out outside!"
The disciple shouted as he ran, spotting a senior brother ahead of him and rushing toward him as if grasping at a lifeline.
"What’s going on? Let’s talk as we walk," said the senior brother decisively, imdiately leading the younger disciple outside.
As they approached Amalia and Kenny Lin, the senior brother froze briefly, recognizing them. He quickly cupped his hands and bowed. "Disciple Gaon Chen greets the two Martial Uncle and Martial Aunt."
The younger disciple, who had been delivering the ssage, clearly didn’t recognize the pair. Upon hearing his senior address them as Martial Uncle and Martial Aunt, he imdiately froze in panic, holding his breath.
"Is this happening outside the mountain gate?" Amalia asked.
"Answer the Martial Aunt’s question quickly!" Gaon Chen nudged his junior.
Finally realizing the gravity of the situation, the younger disciple stamred, "Y-yes, it’s outside the mountain gate. There’s a group of people."
"Isn’t the Green Lotus Sect the number one sect on Mystic Void Continent? How is it that soone dares to cause trouble here?" Kenny Lin inquired with a raised eyebrow.
"It’s not that! It’s two groups of people fighting each other. The one being surrounded is alone. But I overheard the attackers accusing him of stealing so kind of magical treasure from them."
"Interesting. One person managed to rob sothing from a group of people?" Kenny Lin’s interest was piqued. He turned his hand to Amalia. "Why don’t we take a look? We don’t have anything else to do."
Amalia hesitated. She wasn’t particularly keen on watching others fight over petty grievances.
Just then, another disciple ran up, shouting as he approached.
"Senior Brother! There’s been a major incident!"
Gaon Chen quickly stopped him. "What now?"
"There’s a fight outside..." the new arrival gasped between breaths.
"We already know. Junior Brother Xin just told us about it," Gaon Chen interrupted, his nerves briefly on edge, thinking it might be sothing new.
The new disciple waved his hands frantically. "No, that’s not it! The person being attacked said he knows soone in the Green Lotus Sect. He asked us to find soone nad Amalia. He said to tell her the words ’Wealth,’ and she’d understand."
