Nan Luo was stunned.

From all the possibilities that he thought of, this was the only one he didn't dare to think. Mainly because he was sure that Great General Wei would never agree to this.

Whose father want their daughter to put their lives on the line?

"Mu Qing, you know that Great General Wei..."

"After I'm married, he couldn't control my life forever." Wei Mu Qing pursed her lips. She tilted her head and then said, "Besides, I don't really want to stay behind and wait for you to co back. Waiting can be very tiring."

Waiting is tiring.

Not being able to know anything about the person she cared for.

Everyday was spent worrying for the person who were far away and fighting with their lives on the line.

Would they be fine?

Would they survive?

When would they return?

Every single day, there would be questions in Wei Mu Qing's head, whether she wanted it or not, thinking about her family mbers. She didn't know how her mother used to be able to cope up with Great General Wei's arrangent for him to stay on the frontline all the ti while she waited at ho.

But...

Wei Mu Qing could still rember her mother's sadness and loneliness.

Because she was not a martial arts nor soone who could protect herself, Great General Wei didn't allow her to follow him.

The path of a general is a path carved with blood.

Blood from the enemies and their own.

Many people put their lives on the line for the sake of victory and many others.

Great General Wei knew very well that if his wife were to follow him, she might be used by others who saw her as his weakness. And Great General Wei himself didn't dare to put the person he loved in danger.

He couldn't bear to.

In the past few years, Wei Mu Qing was the only one who stayed in Wei Family Residence. Her mother had passed away a few years ago and there were only her maidservants accompanying her and talking with her.

They would entertain her.

She also has her teachers.

But she couldn't help missing her family mbers who were out there, fighting for Fei Yang Kingdom. They put their lives on the line and Wei Mu Qing knew very well that it was not easy for them to go back unscathed.

So she always prayed.

Prayed for their safe return.

When the news from the frontline ca that her sister had passed away, Wei Mu Qing's first reaction was disbelief. After that, all she felt was sadness and emptiness. Because she knew very well that her older sister would never co back.

Wei Mu Qing hadn't thought much about what to do in the future.

So when Nan Luo asked this, she thought that it might be possible for her to follow him instead.

"That..." Nan Luo frowned.

He wanted to respect Wei Mu Qing's decision, but he was also worried for her safety. After all, Nan Luo knew very well that Wei Mu Qing's skills were not the best and if he were to bring her to the frontline rashly, he might put her in danger.

Nan Luo didn't want that to happen.

"I know the basic of martial arts and I'll stay at the back," Wei Mu Qing quickly said. "I can also help you to treat your injured soldiers, so can you please give a chance?"

Nan Luo heard Wei Mu Qing's words and sighed deeply.

Looking at the way Wei Mu Qing pleading, Nan Luo felt his heart softened. Even if he knew that he might put her in danger, he also wanted to bring her.

It was just...

"I'll try to ask my sister to teach you so thods to use your dical skills to protect yourself first," Nan Luo said carefully.

Wei Mu Qing's eyes lit up when she heard this. "My father had taught a bit. The use of excessive dicine can also create poison and as long as I'm careful enough, I can even defeat my opponent with it."

"The problem is, can you react in ti?" Nan Luo looked at Wei Mu Qing helplessly.

Even if she knew the theories and so on, but Nan Luo also knew that Wei Mu Qing had been living a rather comfortable life for a long period of ti. There was no guarantee that Wei Mu Qing would be able to respond as quickly as needed when she was on the frontline.

Nan Luo didn't really want to take any risk, but if Wei Mu Qing can learn so skills from Nan Hua, then Nan Luo would be more rest assured.

He would not allow her to leave the headquarter, though.

It was too dangerous.

Wei Mu Qing stuck out her tongue. "I don't know."

She never actually fought with others and only practiced so basic skills. Besides, her talent

in martial arts were actually the lowest in the family and she has more interest in dicine.

Thus, her father arranged for her to learn dicine instead.

"Well, we can try later," Nan Luo said slowly.

Wei Mu Qing nodded. "Yes."

"Co on, let's finish our walk first." Nan Luo smiled.

Hearing Nan Luo's words, Wei Mu Qing giggled and followed him, feeling comforted with

him beside her.

In the distance, Nan Hua and Wei Mu Bai had already finished talking. Wei Mu Bai really wanted to engrave a white flag on his hand just to show it to Nan Hua. Their discussion turned

into an unilateral beating from Nan Hua.

This made Wei Mu Bai sowhat doubted his life.

Thankfully, Nan Hua didn't really push too hard or Wei Mu Bai really wanted to go back to the frontline instead.

Since the two of them had finished talking, they went to take a look at what Nan Luo and Wei

Mu Qing were doing.

At first glance, it seed that the two of them got along nicely.
