Chapter 734: Chapter 576: Rescuing the Gravely Injured and Unconscious Little Jin’s Father (Part 2)

Brother Leopard stepped back two steps, circled around the tree twice, found a foothold, and climbed up in one go. He then carefully stepped forward on a not-so-thick branch, trying to grab Little Jin’s fur with his mouth.

His body weight was much heavier than Little Jin’s. If he leaned too far forward, the branch would not be able to bear the weight and would break.

After exerting great effort, even in the cold weather, Brother Leopard was sweating from the exertion before he managed to drag Little Jin to a more stable part of the branches.

Tragic, just too tragic.

The shoulder blade was punctured by a bite, and there were wounds on the abdon. Fortunately, the wounds weren’t large, probably just claw marks.

Who knows how Little Jin escaped; judging by the position of the bloody hole, the attacker clearly wanted to rip open his belly.

Gently gripping Little Jin in his mouth, Brother Leopard climbed down the tree. The two of them didn’t have ti to look back at the outco of the tiger-leopard fight but turned and ran away directly.

During the run, it was inevitable that Little Jin’s body would sway. Sister Leopard thought they couldn’t continue like this; there was still such a long way to go. By the ti they got Little Jin back, there might only be a cold corpse left.

“Aow, I’ll go find those two-legged beasts at the foot of the mountain for help. You stay here and wait. Don’t go looking for Jinya and them; it would scare the baby.”

Brother Leopard nodded, found a sheltered spot, put down Little Jin, and lay next to him to shield him from the wind and keep him warm.

Sister Leopard dashed down the mountain like a gust of wind, scaring the staff who were inspecting and repairing the machines at the station into screams. They tumbled into the room and slamd the door shut.

Sister Leopard was howling angrily; these two-legged beasts were too cowardly. It was a mistake to try and ask them for help.

Maybe Sister Leopard’s previous reputation was very good, or perhaps the person in charge of the station had a really bold heart. Roughly three or four minutes later, the door opened, and a middle-aged man ca out, slowly approaching Sister Leopard.

“Do you want us to help? Where are your previous companions? Have you run into trouble?”

“Aow, co with quickly.”

Sister Leopard went over and tugged at the corner of the man’s coat to drag him forward.

“Okay, okay, let go, I’ll follow you. Do you need anyone else’s help?”

“Aow, hurry up!” Although knowing well this two-legged beast couldn’t understand her, Sister Leopard still patiently stopped and howled at him twice.

“Little Wang, Xiao Jiao, you two bring so tools and co with .”

The station chief gestured broadly, pointing at two relatively daring young n to follow.

The two acted quickly, reasoning that even if Sister Leopard tried to attack, there was the old head there who couldn’t run acting as a buffer.

The two young n reacted quickly too, slinging on toolbags and taking an extra carrying basket intended for equipnt, thinking that if an animal was injured, carrying would definitely be better than holding.

Another young man, whose mind was a bit more agile, was explaining to his colleague while running, telling him to imdiately find a way to contact Dr. Chen in Jiamu Gully. No matter if the animal was injured or trapped, a professional would undoubtedly understand better what to do.

They followed Sister Leopard at a sprint, reaching the place just before exhaustion caught up to them.

Thankfully, these few people were used to regular labor, often climbing up and down mountains with equipnt; otherwise, an office worker wouldn’t have made it to the destination without being exhausted beyond use.

Upon reaching the spot, my goodness, who would dare touch it? Touch it and you’ll die!

Fortunately, the prior instructions were useful: Xiao Jiao’s phone rang, and it was a call from Chen Ying.

Decisively, he tapped to switch to video; the data cost was trivial, saving the ancestor on the ground was the big deal.

The cara shook a bit and then focused on Little Jin on the ground. At that mont, Chen Ying took a sharp, cold breath.

Under Chen Ying’s remote guidance, Xiao Jiao cautiously turned Little Jin’s body. The situation wasn’t good, but it wasn’t as bad as he had feared.

“Brother Jiao, please help take him to the station first. I’m heading to the station now and will be there in at most half an hour.”

There wasn’t even ti to drive; the fastest way was to ride a motorcycle through a shortcut. Going along the old mountain ridge road could save nearly half the ti.

While instructing Xiao Jiao on how to properly place Little Jin, Chen Ying loudly called for Little Sen to help contact the Protection Station to borrow a vehicle.

Fortunately, the person delivering supplies to the Protection Station hadn’t left yet. Upon hearing that Chen Ying wanted to go to Old Zhenliangzi Station to rescue Little Jin, he volunteered, saying he could take Chen Ying there.

“My grandparents’ house is nearby. I often take the old mountain ridge road and know it well. You haven’t gone that way much; there’s a portion that might be tough for you. I’ll call the station chief and tell him. The motorcycle is parked right by the roadside, and we can head off imdiately.”

Chen Ying didn’t refuse. Having soone familiar with the road was definitely better than his own riding.

Over thirty minutes later, the motorcycle stopped outside the station.

Several people stood on the wall, craning their necks to see the scene inside.

Seeing Chen Ying arrive, soone imdiately ca forward to help open the door.

Once inside, Chen Ying saw Xiao Jiao and the station chief standing by Little Jin, while another young man was cutting up at to feed the three little ones.

Brother Leopard and Sister Leopard had the three little ones protected in the middle. Jinya, with her forelimbs propped on the table edge, was staring intently at Little Jin, who lay on his side on the table.

Chen Ying didn’t waste ti with pleasantries; he rushed over to check, confirming that Little Jin had fainted from excessive blood loss. There was still breath; he could be saved. Only then did Chen Ying slightly breathe a sigh of relief.

A dicine pill dissolved in warm water was administered using a syringe into Little Jin’s mouth. Once it was confird that he had swallowed all the liquid, Chen Ying began to inspect and treat his external injuries.

While the shoulder blade penetration wound wasn’t easy, what was a real headache was the abdominal injury. On the surface, it looked like just two bloody holes; who knew what the situation inside was like. He felt it; there was so slight fluid in the abdon, and Little Jin reacted to the pain.

After administering a bit of dicine to sustain life and wrapping the wounds with sterilized gauze and hemostatic powder, he finally wrapped Little Jin’s body in a thick towel to keep him warm, placing him into a carrying basket, ready to rush him back for ergency treatnt.

As for the few fuzzy ones, they had no choice but to walk the mountain path back by themselves.

But it was clear that the three little ones were utterly exhausted, in a disheveled state, almost too weak to stand. Coupled with seeing Little Jin’s father’s miserable condition, it was a huge blow to Jin Yaya. The little thing wouldn’t eat or drink or make a sound, its entire body tense.

“Chief, could you lend two of your toolboxes? I’ll figure out a way to attach them to the back. Da Xiaoqiu can shrink into the box, and I’ll carry one and hug another; that way, I should be able to get them all back.”

If taking the main road, it would take at least a little over an hour. Besides, there were other pieces of equipnt in the station’s engineering vehicle; it couldn’t fit a few little ones.

“Chief, I rember there are baskets in the warehouse. They’re big enough to hold these two big cats. Fix the baskets on both sides with wire, then use braided ropes to slightly seal the basket mouths, keeping the two cats from being bounced out.”

There were many people and hence many ideas. While Chen Ying was still dealing with Little Jin’s external injuries, the other workers proactively helped fix the baby-carrying equipnt to the sides of the motorcycle’s rear storage box.

(Here, most of ours are such square ones, convenient for tying on the motorcycle back, weaving into a strap becoming a carrying basket. Attaching a long rope you could carry with a shoulder pole. Typically called baket, in our local dialect they’re called baskets.)

With the three little ones taken away on the motorcycle, the three adult big cats were exerted full force speed running.

Back at the ergency station, Chen Ying got others to help settle the three little ones while he carried Little Jin rushing into the ergency room.

Dr. Ou had already led the team doing prep work for surgery, just waiting for Little Jin to arrive for direct operation.

Not long after their return, the three big cats also ca back, utterly exhausted, panting heavily after reaching the place.

Jinya rested less than a minute before attempting to get into the operating room to see Little Jin, only to be stopped by Little Sen, revealing its teeth to him.

“Jinya, don’t worry. Brother Ying is in there. He definitely won’t let anything happen to Little Jin. Take a break first; he should be out soon. Do you want to watch here?”

The outer office had screens to observe the surgical procedure, newly installed this year, for students and other assistants to watch the experts’ surgeries.

Jinya couldn’t understand, but she recognized Chen Ying. Seeing Chen Ying closest to Little Jin settled half her mind, then she unceremoniously leaped onto the table, lay at the best viewing position, and stared intently at the screen.

Young Dr. Chen and a few others were also observing the surgery. Seeing Jinya co in, they originally intended to tease her; words hadn’t even ford when they saw Brother Leopard and Sister Leopard following in, looking extrely serious.

A glance aside revealed three little ones peeking timidly with half an eye out from the doorway, imitating Mommy Jin Yaya and Uncle and Aunt Leopard, earnestly staring at the little screen.

Tear stains on Jin Yaya’s face were evident, clearly indicating a long bout of crying.

Witnessing this scene, Young Dr. Chen sighed inwardly, focusing on the screen, hoping that the result of this surgery would be good.
