Chapter 684: Chapter 554: Jiamu Gully Pig Hunting Team Sets Out Soon
The ruler of the sky, the Golden Eagle, stood beside a lamb, coldly staring at Hu Dii.
Not far behind Hu Dii was a young tiger exuding the sa dominating aura. Crouching by the rock behind the young tiger was Hu Xiaoi, who was a size smaller than her sister.
Normally, in areas where Golden Eagles frequent, you wouldn’t see creatures like Hu Dami, but this wasn’t a normal situation.
The young tiger thought that sooner or later, the two sisters would settle in the ecological corridor and would need to cross the Snow Mountain on their journey. To help them adapt to the cold climate, it brought the two tiger cubs here to the Gula Gou Snow Mountain Glacier to train their hunting skills.
No sooner had they arrived, they discovered a half-eaten prey.
As a top predator, the tiger would eat slightly rotten at if food was scarce. It grew up like that, and the little sisters had to experience that taste too.
The little sisters were just about to check it out when a shadow suddenly swooped by, scaring them into jumping on the spot.
Hu Xiaoi was terrified, but Hu Dii quickly reacted, twisted in mid-air to dodge the talons, rolled on the ground after landing, and without thinking, lunged toward the big bird.
What the heck, since ancient tis, cats have hunted birds, and today it was hunted — this is defying fate!
With Hu Xiaoxiong around, Hu Dii didn’t care if the other was the ruler of the sky; as long as you’re on the ground, you’re my snack!
Her muscles tensed, poised to attack.
The young tiger behind her was also surprised that this hu girl was so fierce; she usually seed laid-back and indifferent, but co hunting ti, she’s all about “I want this and that!”
The Golden Eagle, being cunning, assessed the fighting power of the one big and two small tigers, tore off a piece of at, and flew away.
Hu Dii watched the Eagle’s departing figure and let out a youthful roar before stepping up again to inspect the carcass.
It could be eaten, but its sll was off-putting.
She licked it but couldn’t take a second bite for quite so ti.
She turned to the young tiger: Uncle, do I really have to eat this today?
Fortunately, the young tiger only wanted the sisters to experience it and didn’t force them to eat carrion. Besides, as the unquestionable apex predator among big cats, tigers are particular about their food unless desperate.
In this adow, ground squirrels and highland rabbits are relatively plentiful, and there are many hoofed animals too.
The young tiger hunted a young antelope and feasted on it, while the sisters raided three rabbit burrows, and each carried a rabbit in their mouth, ready to visit their brother downhill.
Going downhill via another route brought them closer to the Jiamu Gully First Aid Station, and at the Three Tigers’ pace, it took just over half a day to get there.
When Chen Ying returned to the station with Big Zai, they were greeted by pouncing tiger girls.
Big Zai excitedly rolled around with his two sisters, just like in the days before they left their mother’s embrace.
Little Taobao, seeing his brother playing with two unfamiliar big cats, was anxious. No longer afraid, he rushed and pounced at Big Zai.
Hu Xiaoi was startled and almost bit Little Taobao, luckily her brother gently nudged her.
“Where did this little thing co from, brother’s ergency food? It’s way too small, wow, Sister and I brought you so food.”
Hu Xiaoi turned to fetch the rabbit, placing it before her brother, smiling as she nudged it forward, “Brother, eat up, rabbits this size are the best, tender, even the bones can be chewed together.”
Little Taobao nestled under his brother’s neck, drooling shafully at the Tiger Sister’s words.
“Brother, I want to eat too.” He nudged Big Zai’s paw, owing softly, torn between desire and hesitation.
Big Zai had initially been unfriendly to Little Taobao, but he couldn’t resist as Little Taobao had been spoiled by the aunties into being a social butterfly. If Big Zai didn’t play with him, he would just persist, and if rejected, the aunties would stand behind him, gazing at Big Zai lovingly.
Eventually, Big Zai got used to Little Taobao’s clinginess, feeling sothing amiss if he didn’t stick around for a while each day.
Upon hearing Little Taobao’s words, and seeing the rabbit and his two sisters’ stern gazes, Big Zai pressed Little Taobao’s head down slightly, licking him, “Good boy, I’ll catch so for you later.”
Little Taobao was indeed a good little one; after getting his brother’s promise, he obediently lay where he was, eyes wide with curiosity at the two Tiger Sisters nearby.
Hu Dii wasn’t interested in Little Taobao. Seeing her brother looking quite well-fed, she had nothing more to say and simply found a spot to lie down and take a nap. The half-year-old hu girl lived like an aging tiger nearing fifty.
Hu Xiaoi felt a bit wronged and lost, she and her sister had gone through the trouble to bring food back for their brother, and here he was with another cat!
“Sister is amazing!” Little Taobao said quietly in admiration, his eyes filled with envy, drooling.
Big Zai placed Little Taobao in front of his younger sister, then rubbed her forehead, “You two play for now, brother will catch so birds for you.”
Aunt Jinya had told him, there were many birds on the slope of the shrubbery from the first aid station to Huaqiu Valley, raised specially by her and Uncle Xiao Jin!
He had been there twice, each ti catching the fattest chickens, no, birds!
Before long, Big Zai stumbled back with two Golden Pheasants, exhausted, dropping them and panting heavily.
