The ergency rescue location was chosen as an abandoned radar station base.

While they were working together from three sides to rescue the snow leopard, Kelas and Aleksey had already led another team to the radar station base to set up the rescue room. Cars couldn’t pass through the mountains, so they used motorcycles and cattle to carry the equipnt in.

The dying snow leopard was almost losing consciousness, its head resting on its forelegs, breathing weakly.

The most fatal injury, however, was the one caused by the wolf embedded in its abdon, and additionally, its left foreleg suffered an open fracture possibly accompanied by internal bleeding, and its body temperature was low.
Chen Ying wrapped his coat around its body to keep it warm, continuously calling for it to stay alert, as rescue personnel were arriving soon.
It must be said that the speed of the rescue teams from the three countries was indeed very fast.
Half an hour later, animal protection personnel from the Russian side also arrived at the scene, bringing rescue equipnt.
An hour after the ergency call, the female snow leopard lay on the temporary surgical bed.
The current problem was a disagreent over the treatnt plan.

“Although this snow leopard has an open fracture, the situation is better than anticipated. There is no comminuted fracture, only a potential infection at the fracture site, so imdiate debrident, fracture realignnt, fixation, anti-infection, and tetanus shots must be completed.”
Chen Ying rapidly discussed his treatnt plan with the two professors, and anwhile, the team in charge of debrident was nearing the end of their work. Whether to carry out Chen Ying’s treatnt plan needed to be decided quickly.
After a discussion among the Russian side mbers, they again asked Chen Ying so surgical details, finally deciding to implent urgent rescue according to his plan.

Once the surgery was completed, there was no need for so many people to guard the site any longer.

They would stay there for a week, until the snow leopard’s condition stabilized, before transporting it out.
Chen Ying, as a professional veterinarian, had a certain degree of decision-making power in the subsequent treatnts.
Fortunately, this female leopard was also truly resilient; three days post-surgery, she had regained so energy, eagerly chewing and swallowing the food held to her mouth.
“Good girl, you’re so impressive.” The animal nurse from the Russian side praised the snow leopard while feeding it, invoking so embarrassnt among those nearby.
Chen Ying was adapting well and was quite good at supporting, and under their cooperation, the female leopard’s ntal state was gradually improving.

The Chinese side was not withdrawing from efforts, but they were so busy this year that there was no staff available to handle this matter. Moreover, the snow leopard’s usual activity areas were between the Russian and Kazakh sides, leading the Chinese side to choose a supportive role after deliberation.
As a student preparing to enroll in school, Chen Ying couldn’t stay to undertake long-term treatnt duties.
After coordinating the rescue work for the snow leopard with the clinic’s side, Chen Ying and Kelas returned to Aleksey’s small farm.
