Chapter 66: Chapter 65: Sleeping Dragon and Young Phoenix

Cheng Zhu walked up to the third floor, but he didn’t rush to find his dormitory. Instead, he dropped off his luggage and started replying to Lin Lu’s ssages.

“You’re on your own if there are consequences,” he wrote back just a few words.

“It’s okay, Ningning only gets mad at for a little bit!” Lin Lu wasn’t afraid at all.

Little did he know, the consequences Cheng Zhu had in mind were not just about Shen Qingning’s anger.

After chatting with Lin Lu for a bit more, Cheng Zhu went to look for his dormitory, which was room 309.

As he was about to reach the door, he heard voices chatting inside.

...

“There are so many stunning girls among the senior students at this university!”

“What’s so surprising about that? Let tell you, I just saw a freshman downstairs with his luggage. A goddess-like person brought him to the dormitory, but her vibe didn’t seem like a student’s. I suspect she’s his sister.”

The speaker added, “I’ve already morized this classmate’s face, and later I’ll see if I can find him in so dorm. For the sake of his sister, I want to beco brothers with him.”

A burst of laughter erupted from the room, but it was soon interrupted by a male voice.

“The classmate you ntioned, does he look like ?”

Cheng Zhu, whose eyebrows naturally arched upwards slightly, said as he dragged his suitcase into the dormitory.

The boy who had been joking around was sitting on a stool. He looked up at this tall and imposing classmate and nervously swallowed.

Once he had made his appearance in room 309, Cheng Zhu quickly made a morable impression on his roommates.

He didn’t want to make the guy feel too embarrassed, seeing he couldn’t find the words to respond, Cheng Zhu provided an out but still controlled the pace, laughing and saying, “So you wanted to beco brothers, didn’t you? Why not introduce yourself?”

This life, he had chosen computer science as his major, unlike his previous life, so he didn’t recognize his roommates.

He took a special look at their hairlines, trying to rember them at their most handso.

“Cough, my na is Liu Feng, my nickna…my nickna is ‘Slam Dunk.'”

He didn’t exactly look like Slam Dunk’s Liu Feng—nothing alike, really.

Short, albeit reasonably fair-skinned, but just taking soone’s na and making it your nickna, feels a bit like leeching off their fa, huh?

“Alright, Chuaner,” Cheng Zhu responded.

Liu Feng: “???”

Cheng Zhu then turned his attention to another guy, who was a bit chubby and looked older. If it weren’t for the lack of wrinkles, one might think he was nearly forty.

Born looking older, and a computer geek, that’s going to be tough.

But it seed like he ca from a wealthy family, evident from the Cartier Blue Balloon watch on his wrist.

It’s pretty impressive for a college student to wear such a watch, not everyone is Little President Jiang, after all.

This worldly mature guy t Cheng Zhu’s gaze and simply stated, as if cherishing his words like gold, “Zheng Qingfeng.”

Cheng Zhu nodded slightly and then turned to the last guy.

He was the one who had just ntioned the “stunning girls among the senior students.”

Tall and skinny with narrow shoulders, making him look sowhat like a pole, he was still quite good-looking among college students. Moreover, he seed fashionable, probably from a well-off family, wearing a pair of classic Rick Owens sneakers.

His shoes looked similar to Converse but cost several tis more.

He introduced himself, “My na is Dong Dong, from Chengdu.”

For so reason, Cheng Zhu had a hunch, “I have a feeling our room 309 is likely to produce so outstanding figures!”

These guys didn’t quite fit his typical image of male computer science students.

After exchanging nas, the conversation returned to the previous topic.

Although Liu Feng thought Cheng Zhu looked tough, he couldn’t hold back his curiosity.

His previous comnts were made in jest, knowing such a goddess-level girl was out of his league, but he couldn’t help being a little nosy about what relationship Cheng Zhu had with her.

“Cheng…” Liu Feng had just uttered a word when he saw Cheng Zhu looking at him, and his words inexplicably changed to: “Brother Cheng.”

He felt a slight intimidating aura from him, making him sowhat apprehensive.

Unexpectedly, Cheng Zhu waved his hand and said, “Don’t call Brother Cheng, it’s bad luck, call Brother Zhu.”

It sounded like ‘Cheng Ge,’ which implied an unlucky end.

Among boys, it’s normal to occasionally call each other ‘brother.’ It’s only deaning if you call soone ‘your adopted father.’

“Brother Zhu, the lady who ca with you to the dorm just now—is?” he asked cautiously.

Zheng Qingfeng and the trendy Skinny Dong Dong started listening intently too.

Just a while ago, they didn’t really take Liu Feng’s frequent ntions of a goddess seriously.

Beauty is subjective after all.

Moreover, why call soone a goddess? Isn’t that a bit too much?

These two secretly thought they were of a higher class than Liu Feng.

But the topic of boys and girls is always hot in college and never gets old.

Cheng Zhu took a sip of mineral water to moisten his throat before saying, “She isn’t the sister you guessed; she’s just a student, a senior sophomore at our school.”

“Holy shit, college students have such an aura?” Liu Feng was shocked. “And Brother Zhu, you just started school and already know a goddess senior?”

Zheng Qingfeng and Dong Dong felt his astonishnt was a bit ridiculous.

Low, really low—prattling about aura, alluding so quickly to a goddess.

They felt Liu Feng was quite a loser and they’d rather follow Cheng Zhu and call him Chuaner!

But how Cheng Zhu knew a college senior was indeed sothing to listen to carefully.

As computer science students, the male-to-female ratio was already dismal, and finding an attractive female among them was even rarer. Many thought of dating across majors, or even seeking an older, more sophisticated senior woman.

What followed was worth listening to!

“It wasn’t much; I t her through friends during the sumr break,” Cheng Zhu said honestly.

Zheng Qingfeng and Dong Dong were slightly disappointed; there wasn’t much trickery in that!

Only Liu Feng, who had seen Shen Qingning, felt differently.

Not to look down on Dong Dong and Zheng Qingfeng, but he believed neither of them could possibly beco close friends with such an elite senior—the re fact that he had t her over the sumr was impressive!

“Brother Zhu, I’ll follow you from now on,” Liu Feng was half-serious and half-joking.

Zheng Qingfeng and Dong Dong expressed even more disdain for him.

This led Dong Dong to ask without restraining himself, “By the way, have you guys ever been in a relationship?”

He figured Liu Feng hadn’t based on his clueless talk.

Unexpectedly, Liu Feng said, “I’ve been in one.”

Cheng Zhu also raised a finger, indicating he had been in one too.

Dong Dong squinted slightly and said, “I’ve actually been in two, but later found them pointless. Won always get carried away with a little attention. Honestly, it’s f***ing more comfortable being single; I’m not too keen on dating now.”

Cheng Zhu understood what he ant: tried dating two, was genuine, got dumped both tis, still nursing his wounds, but still yearning for love.

Now only the mature-looking chubby Zheng Qingfeng was left.

All three looked at him, but he shook his head, still sparing with words, yet making a powerful statent that even left Cheng Zhu with a headache.

As he shook his head, he said in a deep voice, “They all think I’m too aloof.”

With that appearance, serious deanor, and deep voice.

One word—incredible!

Suddenly, Cheng Zhu felt that his dorm life in college might not be too boring after all.

The four of them chatted in the dormitory for about ten minutes.

Liu Feng was the most humble and observant when speaking.

Dong Dong was actually quite straightforward though slightly arrogant.

Zheng Qingfeng rarely spoke, but his serious statent, “They all think I’m too aloof,” left Cheng Zhu unable to figure him out yet.

Finally, at Cheng Zhu’s suggestion, they all started cleaning the room.

One could tell a little about a person’s character from how they clean.

It seed like Zheng Qingfeng had a bit of OCD and was particular about cleanliness, which made Cheng Zhu realize, “He really believes deeply that girls find him aloof.”

After cleaning the dormitory, Dong Dong suggested they tour the campus to familiarize themselves with the environnt.

Cheng Zhu knew the campus well, and since he had other things to take care of with Persistent Visit, he said, “I’ll pass, haha.”

“You guys go ahead; I still have so stuff to do,” he waved them off.

But let’s be real, guys love moving in groups, otherwise they wouldn’t even go to the bathroom without dragging soone along. And guys usually have a good sense of solidarity, so they insisted a few more tis: Just co along.

Finally, realizing that Cheng Zhu really had sothing to do, they gave up. The trendy Skinny Dong Dong even left saying, “We must have dinner together in the cafeteria tonight, it’s our Room 309’s first al together. I’m treating!”

Cheng Zhu looked up; the three were already gone. They said they were familiarizing themselves with the campus, but he was sure they were definitely going to check out girls.

He opened his laptop on the desk and started accessing the online shop’s backend.

“Business is getting better by the day.”

“The entire market is also going to get better year by year.”

“Have to admit, piercing consumption really does have a promising future.”

For the ti being, Cheng Zhu definitely did not want his roommates and classmates to know he was the QQ lingerie tycoon.

A freshman doing roaring trade on Taobao would beco instantly famous on campus; even the cafeteria aunties would know his na.

Wouldn’t the campus journalists be shoving mics in his face?

“Keep it low-key, also saving them the embarrassnt of possibly asking to deliver a few pieces when they go out to hook up.”

When it hit five in the afternoon, the three guys ca back.

They planned to freshen up, change into handso clothes, and then head to the cafeteria.

Cheng Zhu hadn’t thought computer science guys would be so extra even when studying.

It seems code really did strip you of a lot you had.

As soon as Liu Feng ca back, he excitedly said to Cheng Zhu, “Brother Zhu, do you know what Dong Dong just did? He’s aweso, he directly added a female classmate on WeChat!”

“Oh? t soone he likes on the first day?” Cheng Zhu asked.

But the guy acted all cool and romantic, saying, “How can you just say like that? It’s just that we clicked a bit, so I added her to get to know her better.”

Oh ho, liking soone weighs that much in your heart, huh?

This sneaky creature was testing the new roommates.

“I can tell, you think her appearance matches your taste,” Cheng Zhu said calmly. “Here’s an immature piece of advice for you.”

“What?” Dong Dong was puzzled.

But Cheng Zhu’s next words made all three look at him deeply.

To them, each had their own unique traits, but collectively they felt Cheng Zhu wasn’t simple, yet couldn’t pinpoint exactly why.

This sentence confird that feeling, making Dong Dong realize that he might not be able to dominate the dormitory during the four years of college.

Cheng Zhu advised:

“Don’t rush into a relationship, first, be friends with her, and see if her friends might be even prettier!”
