Xu Ke's expression darkened. The pressing matter was returning the Black Card. "Okay, should I bring it over later?" he asked.
Lin Qinghua replied, "No need. I'll have Wang Wu go fetch it."
"Won't that be a bother?"
"Not at all…" Lin Qinghua hesitated. "It's just that… people from the corporation might not want to see you for the ti being."

Wang Wu stepped out of the car and walked up to Xu Ke, who was waiting downstairs. He wore an apologetic expression. He was holding a guest pass for the Wang Family Corporation, ant to be exchanged for the Black Card.
Xu Ke handed the black and gold card, marked with the number "two," to Wang Wu and took the guest pass in return. "Uncle Wu, it's nothing. Thank you for making the trip."
Wang Wu accepted the Black Card, shaking his head with a sigh. "The trip is nothing."
"The Young Lady didn't originally intend to take back the card, especially since Wang Yu has no proof it's in your possession."
"But we were both worried that Wang Yu might actually tell Wang Tianlu. If that happened, the situation would beco difficult to manage, so we were the ones who requested this of the Young Lady."
Xu Ke smiled. "Uncle Wu, I already said it's fine. Whether I have the card or not doesn't affect my relationship with Qi Fu."
Wang Wu nodded emphatically, visibly relieved.
Afterward, Xu Ke asked, "Is Qi Fu alright?"
"Wang Yu didn't use this to threaten her, did she?"

He knew full well the imnse humiliation Wong Liqing had brought upon Xu Ke and his parents just last night. And now, the matter had to be dropped so lightly.
But when Xu Ke heard this, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Then that's fine."
Wang Wu was taken aback. "You're not angry?"
"Of course not."
Xu Ke smiled. "If Qi Fu had actually dealt with Uncle Qing because of , then I would truly be worried."
Large corporations have tangled webs of internal relationships. Removing soone like Wong Liqing would shift many people's loyalties, and the resulting butterfly effect would be unpredictable. Xu Ke felt that Wong Qifu had made the right choice by not taking action.
As for last night's score, I'll settle it with Wong Liqing myself later!
Wang Wu sighed. "This is truly unfair to you."

He had told Qian Hong yesterday that he was terminating his lease. Although there was still half a month left, he had decided to leave. For her, Xu Ke moving out should have been a huge relief. But she was terrified he would retaliate against her after he left, so she had rushed over to buy so peace of mind.
Xu Ke saw through Qian Hong's intentions and nodded indifferently. "Fine. But don't give cash. I don't want to carry too much stuff."
"Okay!" Seeing Xu Ke let her off the hook, Qian Hong grew ecstatic. She nodded eagerly before scurrying off with the money.

Qian Hong transferred the money monts later.
But to Xu Ke's surprise, she had transferred ten thousand, far exceeding the sum of the rent and security deposit.
Looks like she was truly terrified.
Xu Ke didn't have much to take. After packing, all his belongings fit into a single suitcase and a backpack. He then got into the car he had summoned and set off for his new ho.
