Seeing Xu Ke fall to the ground, Yang Qing stood up triumphantly. She walked over, squatted down, and looked at his tightly closed eyes with a smug smile.
This was a trap from the very beginning.
Wong Ting's n had indeed found Yang Qing. Through their network, they discovered that Yang Qing was a viable candidate to be used against Xu Ke. Thus, not only did she keep her job, but she was promoted to a high-level bank executive. Even Qi Tianming had to grovel before her. Afterward, Wong Ting's people had her go after Xu Ke.
Now, they had finally succeeded.
From the shadows, an old man in a black Zhongshan suit erged from behind the drawn curtains. He sneered down at Xu Ke on the ground. "Did you really think you were invincible? To fantasize about going against Lord War God... The sheer audacity!"
Sarcasm was written all over the elder's face, and his body radiated an extrely powerful fluctuation of energy.

She knew very well what position Sun Luo held within Wong Ting's faction. Being praised by such a man ant she could advance a few more steps within their ranks.
At that thought, Yang Qing almost felt a little grateful to Xu Ke... If it weren't for him, how would she ever have had the chance to co into contact with an existence like Wong Ting?!

Yang Qing imdiately fell silent, afraid she might say too much and offend him. An expert of his caliber was bound to be imnsely proud. If she voiced her fear of Xu Ke waking up, it could be interpreted as a slight against Sun Luo's skills. Offending him just wasn't worth the risk.
"First, let's take a photo to inform Lord War God," Sun Luo said with a grin. "Once he sees it, he'll know we've succeeded. Then his subordinates will surely prepare a victory feast for us!"
"Yes!" Yang Qing imdiately took out her phone.
But just at that mont, a cold voice suddenly rang out right beside them.
"So, you ca here today to capture ? How nice of you!"
As the voice faded, the expressions on Sun Luo and Yang Qing's faces changed drastically.
How is this possible?!
In that instant, a fist crackling with ferocious power shot toward the back of Sun Luo's head.
Sun Luo instinctively turned, his eyes flashing with utter disbelief. Xu Ke, who had been lying on the ground like a dead pig just a mont ago, was now on his feet as if nothing had happened. Not only that, but the aura surging from him was incredibly strong, carrying an extrely violent montum.

But it was too late for Sun Luo to dodge. The fist slamd directly into his face.

Sun Luo's face was smashed flat. Imdiately after, Xu Ke drove a savage kick into his lower back, the blow landing almost simultaneously with the punch. Sun Luo was sent flying.

He crashed to the ground, eating dirt in a humiliating tumble.
By the ti Sun Luo skidded to a stop, Yang Qing could only stare, dumbfounded.
What is happening?! This man is a legendary expert! One of Wong Ting's most esteed masters! Why was he sent flying by Xu Ke with a single punch and kick?!
Xu Ke watched Sun Luo silently, cautiously taking a few steps back.
I can't press my advantage now! An Innate Initial Stage expert won't be that easy to handle!
The truth was, Xu Ke had indeed fallen for the trap at first. He really believed the room was empty. When he first entered and saw the curtains drawn, he knew soone was inside, because the curtains had been open when he left. Whether Yang Qing or soone else had drawn them, it ant soone could be hiding.
Therefore, Xu Ke was on high alert.
But even with his guard up, Sun Luo's concealnt skills were too formidable. He couldn't detect an Innate expert who was determined to stay hidden, at least not while his own power was sealed at the Innate Middle Stage. But perhaps Yang Qing's talk about Wong Ting had caused Sun Luo to reveal a flaw. That must have been why Xu Ke's ears had twitched, catching the faint sound.
However, it seed that while God had opened a door for Sun Luo, He hadn't opened a window. His concealnt skills were powerful, but his hidden weapon skills were disappointingly inadequate—nothing like Ouyang Shuang's. When the hidden weapon shot out, Xu Ke knew he could dodge it. But to find out their true purpose, he decided to feign death.
His confidence in playing dead ca from his two layers of defense. The first was his natural resistance to poison, and the second was the Fish Scale Inner Armor he always wore. The armor hadn't played a major role in his battle against Ouyang Shuang, but Xu Ke knew that was only because she had unleashed imnse power at the mont of her death; it didn't an the armor was useless. Because of this, Xu Ke had been wearing it ever since.
And now, the Fish Scale Inner Armor was finally proving its worth.
