Capítulo 952: Chapter 952: She Hasn’t Forgotten Him One Bit
She thought he wouldn’t co today, but he had already arrived…
Walking in front, Xia Nuo’s lips curved into a sweet smile.
She opened the door to the house and walked in, with Leng Yan following her, casually closing the door behind him.
She quickly found a pair of her cotton slippers and handed them to him; luckily, her slippers were large enough for him to barely fit.
When his feet slipped into her slippers, his heart felt warm and soft, and Xia Nuo felt the sa.
“Have you eaten?” she asked him after turning on the heater.
Leng Yan glanced at her and replied indifferently, “No.”
There was nothing at ho, just a few eggs and so noodles.
“Sit down for a while, I’ll cook you a bowl of noodles.” Not daring to spend too much ti with him, Xia Nuo took off her coat and went to the kitchen.
Leng Yan watched her enter the kitchen and only then did he sit down on the sofa.
He looked around and found this place so small. The living room was small, and the kitchen was small too.
This was a single apartnt with one bedroom, one living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom, but she had furnished it warmly; only the sofa was too short—was he going to sleep here tonight?
Xia Nuo took advantage of the ti while cooking noodles to slowly calm her heartbeat.
She didn’t know why Leng Yan ca to find her, nor did she know how he felt about her. So she could only continue to pretend to be calm and indifferent.
She handed him the cooked egg noodles, and Leng Yan sniffed, feeling that it slled so good, as if nothing he’s eaten these past few years slled as good as this bowl of egg noodles.
“Are you eating?” he asked her.
Xia Nuo shook her head, “I’ve already eaten.”
He could sll the faint scent of alcohol on her, and whatever he thought of caused his face to freeze, a displeasure setting in as he took large mouthfuls of noodles.
Xia Nuo sat across from him, cautiously observing his expression. She could feel his indifference towards her, and it made her heart ache.
Indeed, now that he’s grown up, he no longer likes her.
Only she was the most worthless, having not forgotten him at all over the years. The loneliness in a foreign land only intensified her longing for him, a crazed longing.
Once Leng Yan finished his noodles, Xia Nuo took them to the kitchen to wash the dishes.
After a long while, she walked out, deciding to have a proper talk with him.
She sat down opposite him again, opened her mouth, and asked, “Why did you co here?”
Leng Yan raised his eyes to look at her and said, “I’m interning here, and when I found out you were here too, I ca to see you.”
So he was also living in this place.
A touch of disappointnt flashed in Xia Nuo’s eyes; she had thought he ca specifically to find her.
“Where are you staying?” She tried to force a slight smile and casually asked him.
No matter how she tried to disguise it, she couldn’t stop her voice from trembling.
Leng Yan’s eyes grew deeper, and instead of answering, he asked, “Why did you leave back then?”
He finally asked, but she was unable to answer.
She couldn’t possibly tell him that she left to give them both room to grow.
Perhaps now he doesn’t like her anymore, revealing her reasons would only make him mock her.
“The education abroad is good; many people love studying overseas, I’m the sa.” She smiled.
In the face of her smile, Leng Yan’s expression darkened.
It seed he was very dissatisfied with this answer.
Just as Xia Nuo realized this, he suddenly stood up, and her heart skipped a beat as he calmly said, “It’s getting late, you should rest early.”
Was he leaving?
Xia Nuo stood up in a panic, her mouth reacting faster than her brain, “Wait!”
Leng Yan imdiately stopped in his tracks, turning his head to fix his gaze tightly on her.
