Chapter 938: Chapter 938: Life Without Leng Yan

Why did she suddenly co back?

Ever since Yin Cui got married, she hardly visited. According to Leng Yan, whenever she wanted to see him, they would et at a restaurant outside.

Today she suddenly returned, which was quite unusual.

Xia Nuo didn’t call Leng Yan but went back ho and told Mom that Leng Yan’s mom had co back.

Mrs. Xia was stunned for a mont, initially thinking of asking if they should all co over. After considering it, she decided against it, knowing she had never t Leng Yan’s mom, and suddenly eting might be awkward.

“Then you eat first, I’ll save so for Leng Yan.”

“Okay.” Xia Nuo nodded.

While eating, she was sowhat distracted and after a while, heard the sound of a door opening and closing across the way, accompanied by footsteps heading downstairs.

The footsteps didn’t sound like they belonged to just one person.

Xia Nuo walked to the balcony and looked down, seeing a car parked downstairs. Then she saw Leng Yan and his mother walking to the car door.

Before getting into the car, Leng Yan looked up towards her balcony, just eting her gaze. He was montarily stunned, then quickly looked down and sat in the car.

“Where did your mom take you yesterday?”

Leng Yan returned the next day, and as soon as he ca back, he visited her ho. Sitting on the living room sofa, Xia Nuo couldn’t resist asking the question on her mind.

“They had a gathering and took to et so people. It got too late, so I stayed overnight.”

“Oh.” Xia Nuo understood; she didn’t ask further since she wasn’t really interested in whom he t.

“Yesterday my mom made snacks and saved so for you, I’ll go get them for you.”

“Okay.” Leng Yan finally showed a faint smile.

Ti continued to pass quietly, but ever since that ti, Leng Yan would be taken away by his mother every weekend, returning only the next day.

As for Leng Yan, he beca more silent, and strangely, even his deanor began to change.

He seed to have beco more distinguished.

It’s not that Xia Nuo was keen on belittling herself, but there was indeed so change in him. His clothes were all high-end brands, and his gestures seed specially trained.

Anyway, he gave her the impression of a wealthy family’s Young Master.

Xia Nuo never considered herself Cinderella, but she was indeed an ordinary person. Leng Yan’s change made her feel the growing distance between them and their interactions beca less natural.

Gradually, their ti together on weekends decreased, as did their usual walks ho after school.

Leng Yan was no longer the constant presence by her side, and this huge contrast made her feel uncomfortable.

But it’s okay, after a few days without Leng Yan, she’s confident she’ll return to her normal routine.

Besides, it’s not bad this way; without being with her every day, his affection for her will slowly fade.

After school, Xia Nuo packed her bag and went ho.

Today she didn’t need to wait for Leng Yan; he must have been picked up by his mom again.

She thought, perhaps his mom is now trying to reconnect with him. Maybe she realized how much she owed this son in the past and now wants to make ands.

“Xia Nuo.” Leng Yan ran up behind her, a smile on his lips, his dark eyes sparkling brilliantly.

Seeing him made Xia Nuo’s heart flutter a little.

“You haven’t left yet?” she asked him.

“I’m going ho with you.”

Hearing his words, she couldn’t deny feeling a touch of joy. Finally, he could walk ho with her again.
