“Why do you insist I beco your brother?” Leng Yan looked at her.
Xia Nuo laughed, “If you’re not my brother, what else could you be?”
Leng Yan moved his lips but ultimately said nothing.
Xia Nuo suddenly sighed, “Actually, I was supposed to have a younger brother or sister.”
eting his eyes, she shrugged, “But it was gone before birth. Because of that, my grandmother developed high blood pressure and beca increasingly unwell. Not long after, she was gone too.”
Hearing her speak with sadness, Leng Yan gently asked, “Why was it gone?”
“I don’t know either. Mom just said the fetus was disturbed.”

This year, Leng Yan’s mother returned a few tis, each ti staying a night before leaving again.
Xia Nuo thought to herself, she only ca back to see if her son was alive or dead, right?

Changing her usual indifferent attitude, Yin Cui smiled at her, “Little sister, my Leng Yan has received quite a bit of your care lately. I see Xiao Yan is close to you; could you help auntie persuade him…”
“Aren’t you leaving? Why aren’t you gone yet? Do you want to walk you downstairs?” Leng Yan interrupted coldly.
Yin Cui glanced at him and noticed the threat in his words. There was soone waiting downstairs; if he followed her, how could she possibly allow that?
“Xiao Yan, Mom is leaving. Take good care of yourself. If you need money, let know.” Then Yin Cui left.
