Han Xiaofen glanced casually at An Ruo, then smiled at Tang Yuchen, "It’s ready. Young Master, co inside quickly, everyone is waiting to celebrate your birthday."
Tang Yuchen did not respond to her, but looked at An Ruo. Her heart suddenly picked up pace. Did he really see through sothing?!
It wasn’t that she was vain enough to think he could recognize her in her current state; it was just that his gaze today felt different, giving her an unsettling feeling.
An Ruo followed calmly, the man asked her, "Do you know how to make dumplings?"
"No, I don’t!"
Oops, she answered too quickly.
She quickly lowered her head and said ekly, "Young Master, I can do everything else, it’s just that I’m not skilled at cooking."
"Yes, Sister An can’t make dumplings, Young Master. We’ve already made lots of dumplings, guaranteed to make you feel satisfied." Han Xiaofen said with an innocent smile.
The man said nothing more, turned around and walked toward the living room.
"Dad, wait for ." Kangkang quickly followed him. An Ruo intended to walk last, but Han Xiaofen wasn’t in a hurry to leave either.
"Sister An." She smiled as she called out, "Where did you all go just now? It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have stayed in the kitchen causing trouble for everyone and didn’t have a chance to accompany the young master out."
An Ruo looked at her calmly and said, "We didn’t go anywhere special, the young master had a toothache, and I accompanied him to the dentist."
Han Xiaofen’s expression was slightly stiff, but her emotion only flickered briefly.
"What did the doctor say? Anything we need to pay attention to?" she asked urgently, as if she truly cared about Kangkang.
"The doctor said the usual things, nothing particularly needs attention..."
An Ruo did not hide anything from her, after all, having one more person care about Kangkang was a good thing.
When she reached the outside of the living room, An Ruo didn’t go in. After bidding farewell to Han Xiaofen, she detoured to the backyard to clean.
Today is Tang Yuchen’s birthday. Honestly, she really wanted to be by his side and spend it with him. But his unusual behavior made her afraid to reveal any flaws, she was really scared he would recognize her.
After sweeping the floor for a while, a servant ca to call her, saying the young master asked her to co over.
An Ruo felt uneasy. Tang Yuchen, have you noticed sothing?
She mustered the courage to go to the living room and found that there was no one inside. At the dining table, only Kangkang and he were sitting.
"Young Master, where are the others?" An Ruo asked in confusion, isn’t his birthday, shouldn’t everyone be here to spend it with him?
"They are not needed here." The man said indifferently; he didn’t like having too many people on his birthday, having the ones he cared about by his side was enough.
"Then why did you call here?" She naturally understood his character, but why ask others to leave, yet specifically call her in?
Kangkang quickly waved to her with a smile, "Aunt Ruo’an, I wanted to eat the century egg and pork congee you make, so Dad called you over."
An Ruo walked over and asked him with concern, "Does your tooth still hurt a lot?"
"It doesn’t hurt, I just don’t want to eat rice." The little guy shook his head.
How can you not eat!
"You can have congee, but you need to eat so rice first, then you can have congee later, or I won’t make it for you."
"Okay, I’ll eat the rice now." Kangkang quickly picked up the chopsticks to eat. An Ruo smiled, turned, and went into the kitchen.
It seems Tang Yuchen hasn’t figured anything out. He called her here just because Kangkang wanted to eat the congee she made.
