Chapter 755: I Want To Protect Mummy
Xia Ning walked out of the house and reached the gate. She opened the door and saw Qiao Yu in the car. She asked with confusion, “Why are you here?”
Qiao Yu looked at Xia Ning. “You can’t go ho, but it doesn’t an I can’t co and see you.”
Xia Ning touched her nose and looked a bit awkward. Was he accusing her of not coming ho?!
“Mummy!” Suddenly, the car window of the back seat rolled down and Enoch’s little head popped out.
The second Xia Ning saw Enoch, she was shocked. Why did Qiao Yu bring their son here as well?!
Qiao Yu started the car and drove in. Xia Ning returned to herself imdiately and followed him in.
The car stopped. Xia Ning opened the back seat door and carried Enoch out.
“Mummy, I miss you so much!” Enoch’s tiny face rubbed against Xia Ning’s face and hugged her neck, not letting go.
Xia Ning kissed Enoch and said with a smile, “Mummy misses you too.”
On the side, Qiao Yu got off the car and frowned when he saw the happy mother and son. “What about ?”
“Huh?” Xia Ning looked at Qiao Yu with confusion. She happened to et his eyes and saw the resentnt in his eyes. She swallowed and suddenly realized sothing.
“Let’s go in. It’s a bit cold outside.” Xia Ning held Enoch and walked towards the house.
Seeing Xia Ning’s back, Qiao Yu frowned a little. He took out a box and a bag of groceries from the trunk and followed her in.
After Xia Ning ca in, she left Enoch on the couch and went into the kitchen to boil water.
Qiao Yu walked in and put the box and the groceries on the table and started to observe the hall.
Even though he had been here before, this was his first ti inside the house.
This house had a lot of space. There were a lot of paintings on the walls. So may not be authentic but they were all very artistic.
Also, looking at the wall, it was not newly renovated. It should be a few years old.
Xia Ning ca out with a glass of milk and a glass of juice. She looked at Qiao Yu and said, “Is juice okay?”
Qiao Yu turned to Xia Ning and nodded. “Yes.”
Xia Ning walked to the couch and put the milk and juice on the coffee table. She said to Enoch, “Drink so milk, okay?”
“Mummy, I like milk the most!” Enoch held the milk glass and took a big sip. There was a ring of milk around his mouth but he did not know. All he knew was to smile at Xia Ning.
Seeing how cute her son was, Xia Ning could not help but laugh. She took a piece of tissue paper to help him wipe his mouth.
“Have you been living here by yourself for the past few days?” Qiao Yu walked to the sofa and darted a look at Xia Ning before he sat down.
Xia Ning threw the tissue paper into the garbage bin and said to Qiao Yu with a smile, “Otherwise, do you think I have anyone else here?”
Qiao Yu’s eyebrows moved a little. He realized that his question was very ambiguous. After so silence, he continued, “Why did you choose this place to live in? It’s very remote.”
Xia Ning darted a look at him and smiled slightly. “I don’t like crowds. Plus, it’s quiet so I can read my scripts.”
“But I’m worried!” Qiao Yu frowned.
“Huh?” Xia Ning looked at him with confusion. Being remote did not an it was not safe here. There were security guards around the house as well.
“Enoch and I will be staying here to protect you.” Qiao Yu took a sip of the juice.
Xia Ning: ... So he was waiting for her here. Who asked him to protect her?
“Good, good. I want to live with Mummy. I want to protect Mummy!” Enoch agreed imdiately.
Xia Ning looked at her son funnily. Such a cute kid. Who’s protecting who?
