“That’s okay. Let him watch TV, but don’t let him stay up late,” said Xia Ning. She added after that as if she was afraid that Qiao Yu would misunderstand sothing. “I don’t want to make him cry after hearing my voice. You’ll then have to calm him down. I miss him. And say hi to mum.”

“Sure.” Qiao Yu replied.

Xia Ning fell silent after that. She walked on with the phone in her hand and couldn’t think of anything to say.

“You miss our son and our mum. How about ?” Qiao Yu asked all of a sudden.
