Chapter 642: I’m No Mother Teresa

All the other reporters fell silent at that question and they all turned to Fu Yao, waiting for her reply.

Lu Chuan grinned at Xia Ning, apparently finding the question amusing.

Xia Ning didn’t let her emotion show, but she was secretly amazed. Reporters these days were rciless. She almost felt sorry for Fu Yao.

All eyes were on Fu Yao now. The question had caught her off guard. She had co here for revenge, but not only did she fail to do that, but she had also attracted so unwanted attention.

“No, of course, it’s not true.” Fu Yao said with a smile that looked forced.

“But we’ve seen photos of that incident and there are even recordings of what you said, Miss Fu.” The reporter retorted. “Are you saying that the recording was fake?”

Fu Yao clenched her fists when she t the reporter’s sharp eyes. She trembled nervously.

“I didn’t an to,” said Fu Yao in a hurry. An idea seed to strike her and she sounded aggrieved when she said, “Sister Lu Qing made do it. She wouldn’t give any job if I didn’t do as told. I had no choice.” Fu Yao thought that Lu Qing was the right person to bla, for no one knew where she was now and her career was over for good.

Even the reporters, who had seen their fair share of affected behaviors, found Fu Yao’s deanor repulsive. She wouldn’t stop blaming others even now. How unbelievable.

“Correct if I’m wrong, but Miss Fu, you’re over 18 years old, aren’t you? That ans you’re old enough to tell right from wrong and even your manager couldn’t make you do sothing you didn’t want to!” One of the reporters couldn’t stand it anymore and blurted out. “After everything you’ve done to Xia Ning, I can’t believe you can still stand next to her as if nothing has happened. Miss Fu, what makes you think that other people won’t mind seeing you here?”

The smile froze on Fu Yao’s face. No one could remain unaffected after hearing such a blatant accusation. She glared at that reporter. Who the hell was he? Did Xia Ning put him up to it?

“Xia Ning, can you really stand Fu Yao, after what she did to you?” A reporter asked Xia Ning.

Xia Ning smiled at the reporter. “I’m no Mother Teresa.”

“Hahaha...” The reply sent a round of laughter around the room. What a witty answer. Everyone was sneering at Fu Yao now. Only soone as fake as she would think that people wouldn’t mind.

Fu Yao was so embarrassed that she wanted to stick her head into a hole in the ground.

Xia Ning continued. “Actually, I didn’t know Miss Fu that well, although we used to share the sa manager, which was why I helped her to get a job in that show. You all know what happened after that. I think anyone with the slightest sense of sha would feel awful just by showing up here. So please don’t stop her from leaving.”

Fu Yao turned abruptly in Xia Ning’s direction with a look of hatred in her eyes. Who was this woman to tell her to leave? She wanted to stay here! She needed the attention! At that thought, she only held her head higher to show off the charm she thought she had. Little did she know, everything she did tonight had been caught on cara.

Fu Yao remained where she was and wouldn’t leave.

Seeing Fu Yao’s deanor, a reporter couldn’t help but comnt in a sarcastic tone. “You can never know what people are like. It seems that soone has no sense of sha at all.”
