From the first day she returned to her parents 'side, she knew that they didn't like her.

She knew that she had never lived with them, so it was inevitable that they would treat her brother better than she did. She believed that as ti passed, they would beco more familiar with each other and everything would get better.

However, after so many years, she seed to be unable to integrate into that family.

She always felt that she was not doing well enough, so she studied hard and got into the top few in the grade, just to get a complint from them and make them look at her in a different light.

However, it did not seem to have the effect she wanted.

Perhaps it was only now that she truly understood that she was just a commodity to them. They could sell her when she was valuable, and throw her away when she was not.

Then, what was the point of her existence in this world?

Song Chao looked at her, his eyes full of helplessness and hesitation.

When soone asked her the aning of her existence in this world, her heart must have been hurt.

It was the first ti he had seen her so fragile, and he suddenly had an infinite desire to protect her.

"Don't cry, it's not your fault. " He said in a low voice, ready to help her up.

She slapped his hand away and took a few steps back. She shook her head at him."It's my fault. It's all my fault. I'm useless."

Suddenly, she got up and ran towards the elevator.

Song Chao was stunned for a mont and imdiately chased after him.

The elevator door opened, and Cheng Anyue ran in. Song Chao followed her in and said in a deep voice,""Cheng Anyue, where are you going?"

Cheng Anyue didn't know where she got the strength from, but she suddenly pushed him out of the elevator."Don't follow ."

Caught off guard, Song Chao stumbled and his body hit the wall. When he turned around and was about to go back, he saw that the elevator door had closed.

He furrowed his brows slightly."Cheng Anyue!"

But the elevator door had already closed.

He imdiately pressed the button for the elevator next to him. Unfortunately, the elevator was still on the 30th floor, and it would take so ti to get down.

After exiting the elevator, Cheng Anyue kept running forward.

The sky was already dark, and the streetlights in the neighborhood were still on, but they were still dim in the night, just like Cheng Anyue's mood at the mont.

Her tears fell like a broken string. She was not in the mood to wipe them away. She only wanted to run as fast as she could.

The pain in her heart made her feel like she was suffocating, and she was eager to relieve this feeling.

When the guard saw Cheng Anyue crying and running over, he asked with concern,""Little girl, why are you crying?"

Cheng Anyue shook her head at him and ran out.

"Hey, little girl," The security uncle shouted, but Cheng Anyue ran away without looking back.

When they reached the roadside, Cheng Anyue anxiously looked for a taxi.

She clenched her hands tightly and her breathing was a little rushed because of her crying.

A black Maybach drove over and stopped beside her.

When Cheng Anyue saw the car, she was stunned. The car door opened, and a tall figure walked out.

She felt like she was dreaming. How could he be here?

The streets were very quiet, and the passing cars seed to have gone silent. Everything beca the background, and it was as if she and he were the whole world.

He walked in front of her and raised his hand to wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes.

Cheng Anyue's heart trembled. She looked up at his handso face, and his familiar scent lingered in her nose.

He looked into her eyes and said indifferently,""Why are you crying again?"

The grievances in Cheng Anyue's heart exploded at this mont. She hugged him and cried loudly in his arms.
