Mira woke up, slowly stretching as she stood up. She yawned, inhaling deeply and exhaling as she took in her surroundings. The morning light filtered through her curtains, casting a warm glow in the room. After a few monts, she headed to the bathroom to wash up. Once she finished, she slipped into sothing simple and let her hair fall naturally. Just then, a soft knock echoed from the door.
Nana entered the room. "Good morning, Mrs. Mira. It’s ti for breakfast. Also, Miss Lily is here," she said with a polite smile.
Mira’s smile widened with each passing second, her eyes lighting up. "Really?" Mira asked, excitent clear in her voice.
"Yes, and she asked to inform you to wear sothing suitable for an outing. You’ll both be going sowhere important after breakfast," Nana added.
"Alright," Mira replied, her heart lifting. She hadn’t expected Lily’s visit and was thrilled to have her there. The thought of Lily being there brightened her day, providing the perfect distraction from her usual boredom.
Mira decided to change into sothing more appropriate for the outing. She picked out a cute, long, flared brown skirt and paired it with a matching sweater-like top. Just as she was about to leave, she rembered her phone. Turning back to the bed, she noticed her phone lying flat on the mattress.
"Did it fall last night while I was asleep?" she wondered, a string of uneasy thoughts forming in her mind. "Did I move and knock it over?"
The more she thought about it, the worse the imagined scenario beca. Quickly, she grabbed the phone, relieved to find it had only lost so charge. She took it to the other side of the room, plugged it in to charge, and then left the room.
If only she knew what had really happened the night before...
Mira walked down the stairs, her steps graceful as she struggled to hide the excitent bubbling within her. She spotted Lily, and her smile widened. "Lily!" she called out, waving enthusiastically. At that mont, she resembled a small child waiting for her parents after school, finally spotting them. You couldn’t bla her; after all, she had always wanted love and care.
Lily smiled and waved back, giggling at Mira’s cuteness. Mira finally reached the bottom of the stairs and walked over to Lily, initiating the hug this ti. "Good morning," she said with a warm smile.
"Hmmm, good morning to you too, baby girl," Lily replied.
"Thank you." Mira smiled, and Lily looked at her as if surprised by her answer.
"Oh, I wasn’t talking to you," Lily teased, "but good morning to you too. I was talking to the beautiful girl in your tummy." She caressed Mira’s belly with a playful touch.
"Don’t be ridiculous. How can you be so sure it’s a girl? Maybe it’s a boy," Mira countered, raising an eyebrow.
"Nuh-uh, it’s definitely a girl," Lily insisted confidently.
Mira laughed at her words, feeling a warmth spread through her. "Mothers know best," she said with a soft giggle.
"No, aunties are great observers," Lily defended with a smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"What? I’ve never heard that phrase!" Mira exclaid.
"That’s because you’re a mother, and I’m an aunty," Lily said, winking at Mira.
Mira couldn’t believe how much she enjoyed this conversation. Who knew that talking about the baby could make her heart flutter like this? It was as if the prospect of motherhood was opening a new world for her, filled with joy and anticipation.
Mira sat at the dining table with Lily beside her, then asked, "How is your mom?" Her voice was filled with concern.
"She’s fine now. Yesterday, she had high blood pressure and was taken to the hospital. They gave her dication, and she’s doing much better now. It happens sotis, but yesterday had been different. The good thing is she’s okay now," Lily explained, her expression softening at the ntion of her mother.
"That’s good to hear," Mira said, relieved for her friend. "I’m glad she’s doing better."
"Yeah, thanks for your ssage. I saw it," Lily added, a hint of gratitude in her voice.
Mira’s smile widened, glad that Lily had seen the text she’d sent last night. It had been a small gesture, but it ant a lot to her to check in.
They began to eat in silence, savoring the al prepared for them, until Mira spoke up, her curiosity evident. "Where are we going?"
"Guess," Lily said with a playful smile.
Mira pouted, her brow furrowing in thought. "I dislike that ga."
"Just guess," Lily insisted, trying not to give in to Mira’s cuteness.
"Umm... to, uh..." Mira stamred, trying to co up with an answer.
"Just say anything," Lily encouraged, her excitent palpable.
"Okay... um... uh..." Mira tried to think, but nothing ca to mind. The anticipation in the air was thick, and she felt the pressure of her friend’s playful challenge.
"Uh..." Lily finally interrupted, chuckling. "It’s fine, don’t guess anymore. You’re really bad at it," she teased, finally turning to Mira with a grin before continuing. "We’re going for a hair massage."
Mira blinked in confusion. She had no idea what that was—she only knew about body massages, not hair ones. "Huh?" she looked puzzled, her head tilting slightly to one side.
"It’s simple: while they wash your hair, they massage it. I saw it on Hellogram. It looked so soothing, and that was just from watching. Imagine how great it’ll feel in person! Think of it as ASMR," Lily explained enthusiastically, her eyes shining with excitent.
"Oh," Mira finally understood, a smile creeping onto her face. The idea of a relaxing hair massage sounded delightful.
"Great, now let’s finish here first," Lily said, nudging her to finish breakfast.
After breakfast, Lily and Mira walked to the car, where the chauffeur greeted them with a polite nod. "Good morning, Miss."
Mira and Lily responded in unison, "Good morning."
Nana imdiately handed Mira her phone which she had forgotten to carry Mira took it before thanking her with that they both entered the car.
The car finally zood off, the sound of the engine blending with their laughter as they chatted about the day ahead.
The car halted in front of a large building that was modern yet inviting, its architecture sleek and stylish. Lily stepped out first, holding the door for Mira, who followed with a word of thanks. After closing the door, they both entered the building.
Lily led Mira into the elevator, and once inside, she turned to her and said, "I booked a private appointnt. I didn’t want you to be interrupted while enjoying yourself—soone might ask for your autograph. You know you’re quite popular. A lot of people recognize you from your trend." She added, raising her hand to remind Mira of the picture Zamian and she had taken that day at the gala.
No wonder, Mira thought. She had been wondering why people were staring at her when she entered the building. "There are lots of Tubers here doing vlogs, so it’s better to keep a low profile," Lily advised, her tone serious yet friendly.
Mira’s heart ward—Lily had really thought this through. She was grateful for how considerate her friend had been. It made her feel cherished, knowing that soone cared enough to protect her peace.
The elevator pinged before opening, and they stepped into a beautifully organized space. Mira noticed various hair products perfectly arranged on one side, while the other showcased elegant pedicure setups. Across the room was a makeup and skincare lounge, all arranged with cute and well-thought-out details.
An attendant approached them with a bright smile. "Good day, Miss Lily. Good day, Mrs. Mira. Welco to Always-Cute Care. Please, this way," she said, leading them to a comfy seat. Once they were seated, the attendant returned holding a face mask with a Hello Kitty design.
"This is one of the company’s gifts for our special custors. It’s great for moisturizing your face. What do you think?" she asked, holding it out for them to see.
Lily turned to Mira, who was already looking at her with wide eyes, and they both squealed in unison, "So cute!"
"Right?" Lily laughed, her eyes sparkling with delight.
The lady smiled in satisfaction. "Thanks for your feedback," she said, handing them the face wash. "First, you need to wash your faces to remove any dirt," she instructed politely.
As they walked to the well-organized sink, Mira turned to Lily and asked, "Are we doing skincare too?"
"Looks like it!" Lily replied with a grin, excitent dancing in her eyes.
They both washed their faces, giggling as they splashed water playfully at each other. After rinsing off, they returned to their seats, where the attendant gently cleaned their faces with a soft towel before applying various creams.
Once the creams were applied, the lady placed the masks on their faces. "Now, please close your eyes," she instructed as she placed cool cucumber slices on top of the masks. The refreshing sensation instantly relaxed Mira, and she could feel the tension of the day lting away.
As they settled into the soothing ambiance, Mira’s phone buzzed silently on the table beside her, set to Do Not Disturb. Unbeknownst to her, there were countless missed calls from Jas. He was dealing with an ergency, but at that mont, all Mira could focus on was the pampering and the calming atmosphere surrounding her.
