He paused slightly, his gaze falling on her face without making a sound.

Qiao Mo rested her head on his leg and looked at him, smiling softly, "Are you angry?"

He remained silent, but his large hand involuntarily stroked her hair.

Qiao Mo gently held his head, turned over, lay on the sofa, and buried her little face against his waist, taking a gentle breath, "You sll so good..."

Fu Nancheng gazed at her small face, his eyes particularly deep.

Qiao Mo continued resting her head on his thigh, then gradually, her eyes drooped with a hint of drowsiness.

The next day, she woke up on the bed.

That night was peaceful, without nightmares disturbing her, making her mood a bit better.

Fu Nancheng sent Qiao Mo to the company early and then left. Qiao Mo sat at her desk, looking at the docunts, estimating the ti, and about two hours later, she drove straight to the Qiao family.

The Qiao family had redeed the original Qiao family villa. Qiao Dehou was now out of prison and had started doing business again.

Although the savings of half a lifeti were ruined, over the years, the Qiao family showed signs of revival.

The car slowly stopped in front of the villa gate, and Qiao Mo sat in the car, gazing at the familiar environnt, feeling her heart gradually beco calr.

Eventually, she got out of the car and walked through the gate.

For over twenty years, he had always been the person she trusted and relied on the most, but she never thought that he wasn’t actually her father.

"Xiao... Xiao Mo..." Song Yuqin looked shocked at the unexpectedly appearing Qiao Mo, sowhat at a loss.

Qiao Mo smiled slightly, "Aunt Song."

"Ah... Ah..."

After not seeing each other for several years, she was quite different from before. The coldness and warmth of human nature after her father’s imprisonnt seed to have opened her eyes.

Old Mrs. Qiao still sat on the sofa, wearing her favorite red Tang suit, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t hide that she had aged considerably.

"You... you..." Old Mrs. Qiao looked at Qiao Mo, unable to speak.

"Grandma, is Dad here?"

"He’s... upstairs..."

Qiao Mo’s calling her "Grandma" made her feel sowhat unnatural, yet she still pointed out the direction.

Qiao Mo nodded to her and turned upstairs.

She was now almost thirty years old; her mindset had changed a lot. Whether due to experiencing gains and losses or being accustod to life and death, she could hardly rember the reasons for those little tricks and sches.

That’s probably how people are.

Her steps slowly stopped in front of the study, gently pushing the door open a little.

A slightly plump figure sat at the desk, a round-frad pair of glasses on his chubby face, diligently looking at sothing on the computer.

He had lost quite a bit of weight; his hair had turned white, and his eyes seed to have dimd.

How could ti pass so quickly? In the blink of an eye, they were all old.

Qiao Mo’s eyes were slightly wet, she let out a gentle breath, and knocked on the door.

Upon raising his head, Qiao Dehou saw Qiao Mo standing at the door, utterly stunned.

Tears uncontrollably slid down from the corners of his eyes, "Dad."

"Xiao Mo." Qiao Dehou didn’t react for quite so ti either.

Qiao Mo forced a smile, yet tears continued to fall uncontrollably from her face.

Would he still want her as his daughter?

Almost because of her, he sent his biological daughter, Qiao Yun, to prison.

Would he bla her?

Would he no longer acknowledge her...

Thinking about it, made Qiao Mo feel unspeakably uncomfortable.

For her, Li Qingcheng and Xu Wan were indeed her biological parents, more cultured and sophisticated than him, but no one could replace his position in her heart.
