"At that ti, it took quite a few prison guards to suppress the chaos. However, many were injured in the turbulence. Initially, Qiao Dehou hadn’t lost consciousness, but once things cald down, it was discovered that he was lying on the ground motionless, with considerable blood flowing from his head."

Fu Nancheng raised his gaze towards the two doctors standing nearby, signaling them to briefly explain Qiao Dehou’s condition.

"There are several surface wounds on Qiao Dehou’s body, but after our examination, none seem very serious. So, we temporarily concluded that his coma was caused by a head injury, though further details still require..."

"Temporary?" Fu Nancheng’s gaze turned colder, and his entire presence felt particularly chilling.

The doctor’s face turned slightly pale, but... but it’s only been such a short ti since the incident, and the equipnt here isn’t very comprehensive.

Of course... of course, we can only draw a temporary conclusion...

"Imdiately arrange for a hospital transfer," Fu Nancheng ordered coldly, leaving no room for doubt.

The man seed sowhat troubled, hesitantly replying, "But... but Mr. Fu... the approval for the procedures hasn’t co through yet."

Fu Nancheng halted his steps, turning his intense gaze towards the man’s face, "Transfer him now. If anything goes wrong, I’ll hold you accountable."

With his words, he gave no further opportunity for the man to speak.

Fu Nancheng, with a determined look, walked into the dical room.

At this mont, Qiao Mo was looking at the slightly bruised face of Qiao Dehou in a daze, her pale hands clasping his tightly.

Fu Nancheng eased his presence, standing behind her and gently embracing her.

"Fu Nancheng... do you think... my father won’t wake, will he?" Qiao Mo choked out.

"He will wake up," he comforted her softly.

Qiao Mo bit her lip, "I haven’t told him about us being together yet. He will definitely wake up, right?"

"Yes, he will."

Over an hour later, Qiao Dehou was successfully transferred to a nearby large hospital.

Soon after he was wheeled into the operating room, Qin Zhaoran also rushed over.

Qiao Mo sat on the long bench in front of the operating room, eyes downcast, her hands clasped together, icy cold.

Fu Nancheng was at the end of the hallway, making a phone call: "Yes, investigate the cause of the conflict during the incident thoroughly."

"Yes, also review the surveillance footage from the ti for any anomalies."

Several instructions later, Fu Nancheng hung up the phone, removed his coat and draped it over Qiao Mo’s shoulders.

Qiao Mo remained silent, not telling anyone about the matter.

Qiao Xuan, far overseas, would surely be worried.

Old Mrs. Qiao and her uncle’s family seed to have genuine feelings for her father. But given her grandmother’s age, Qiao Mo feared she might not cope well with such a blow.

Moreover, her uncle’s family couldn’t really offer any help, and she feared that disturbing the hospital would cause unnecessary trouble, which would only further sadden her father.

Qiao Mo assud the surgery would take a long ti.

But unexpectedly, after around two hours, the light outside the operating room went off.

Qin Zhaoran stepped out after taking off his surgical attire, glanced at Qiao Mo, and then looked at Fu Nancheng, gesturing him to speak privately.

Qiao Mo, her eyes red, wanted to follow. But after a few steps, seeing Qiao Dehou being pushed out, she ran over to help push the hospital bed.

"Nancheng, Qiao Dehou’s coma is rather strange," Qin Zhaoran spoke gently.

"What do you an?"

Qin Zhaoran lowered his voice, "Although there was significant bleeding from his head, the injury isn’t severe. It’s definitely not the cause of his unconsciousness."
