But what Qiao Mo did not expect was that Fu Nancheng had suddenly beco the perfect boyfriend.

Although he was still domineering as always, compared to before, it was already a drastic improvent.

Qiao Mo felt that she should be content, after all, having been tornted by him for so long in the past, her life now seed like heaven.

For three consecutive days, he would wait for her downstairs every morning.

At night, he insisted on waiting until she fell asleep before leaving.

However, this left Qiao Mo no ti to buy dicine, which beca a knot in her heart!

She even set her alarm one hour earlier in hopes of finding a pharmacy to quickly buy the dicine before he arrived.

But frustratingly, her phone inexplicably switched to silent mode!

The alarm didn’t go off at all, and she was finally woken up by his persistent knocking on her door, leaving her no ti to buy the dicine as she hurried to work.

Of course, Fu Nancheng would never admit that he deliberately silenced the alarm the night before so she would be late and he could feed her breakfast in the car.

...

On the third day at noon, Qiao Mo was sitting in a western restaurant with him.

After a few bites, she put down her knife and fork, clearly losing her appetite.

"Does it not suit your taste?" he asked gently.

Qiao Mo was worried about the morning-after pill, as it was the afternoon of the third day and could be the last chance to buy it... if she... really gets pregnant?

But for the past few days, it’s like this man had eyes at the back of his head.

He didn’t give her a single opportunity to go out alone.

Fu Nancheng watched her remain silent, knowing full well she had sothing to hide from him these past few days; otherwise, she wouldn’t have set the alarm for five in the morning.

"Eat a bit more." He cut the steak in front of her into neat little pieces.

Qiao Mo listlessly picked up her knife and fork, constantly pondering the situation with the pill.

She wondered if taking it near the expiration ti would affect its effectiveness?

Fu Nancheng glanced at his watch, stood up, and said, "I have a contract to sign at noon. After you finish, go back to the company yourself, I’ll wait for you in the evening to go ho together."

Hearing this, Qiao Mo’s eyes lit up.

"A contract?"

"Yes." He gazed at her silently.

"Then you should go quickly... Are you finished? Don’t delay your work..."

He gave her a faint glance, wiped his hands, and gently said, "I’ll settle the bill. You eat a bit more."

"Okay." Qiao Mo nodded, her previously listless eyes now shining brightly.

Fu Nancheng didn’t delay further, and after paying, he turned and left.

Since they were seated by the window, Qiao Mo watched him drive away with her own eyes before imdiately dropping her knife and fork, grabbing her bag, and leaving.

Leaving the restaurant, Qiao Mo stood by the roadside looking around.

During the past few days out, she had surveyed the nearby pharmacies, so it didn’t take her long to identify her target.

Imdiately, Qiao Mo headed across the street, straight towards the pharmacy.

Not far behind her, a black Bentley erged from a small alley, following not too far behind.

"One box of... morning-after pills," Qiao Mo said softly, a bit embarrassed because the clerk was a male.

"Here you go."

She wanted to ask if taking it near expiry would affect its effectiveness, but seeing the male clerk eyeing her twice, she was too embarrassed to speak.

Outside the pharmacy, Qiao Mo tore open the package and checked the instructions.

Realizing ti was short, she went to a convenience store for a bottle of water.

Walking along the roadside, she had barely opened the water halfway when a black Bentley stopped beside her, and the window slowly rolled down.
