He wiped away the tears from her cheek once again and whispered, "You little rascal, weren’t you the one who wanted to break things off with ? Why cry so miserably?"
Qiao Mo looked at him with eyes full of mist, as if silently accusing, a grievance she couldn’t express.
He gently pressed her little head against his chest, stood by the bed holding her, gently stroking her hair with his large hand, his gaze towards the distance now tinged with redness.
Leaning against him, Qiao Mo cried even more fiercely.
Just the thought of him leaving without looking back made her indescribably sad, not to ntion breaking things off.

Her lashes caught tiny crystal droplets, blurring her vision. She gently embraced his waist, tightening her grip, tears flowing more fiercely, soaking his shirt, leaving a patch of dampness.
Qiao Mo lowered her eyes, slightly pouting.
She’s still a patient... she doesn’t care... she needs care now.
Even if they are to break things off, they should wait until she recovers.

Qiao Mo was startled, blinking to avoid his gaze, yet in the next mont, his thin lips brushed against hers, and she gradually fell back onto the hospital bed. He leaned over, caging her beneath him, his eyes lowered, intensely focused.
Qiao Mo looked at him with reddened eyes, feeling the prickly sensation of his stubble against her painfully.
She reached out a small hand, pushing his handso face aside: "It hurts..."
"Still crying?" he asked softly, looking at her.
Feeling uneasy under his gaze, Qiao Mo avoided his eyes and stayed silent, though her tears still lingered in her eyes, this ti not falling but evaporating into the air after a while.
Seeing this, he gently kissed her little face and said in a warm voice, "I’ll go take a shower."
Qiao Mo gazed absentmindedly at his back, the bathroom door left ajar, soon followed by the sound of running water.
Qiao Mo finally ca back to her senses, lowering her eyes slightly, feeling a bit complicated inside.

Not long after, the sound of water stopped, the bathroom door opened, steaming hot air wafting out.
Qiao Mo looked up, paused a mont, her cheeks flushing slightly, and she averted her gaze unnaturally.
He stood with his muscular upper body bare, wearing a pair of black and blue shorts, water droplets still clinging to his hair, his fair skin taut and firm, like a perfectly sculpted statue, exuding an indescribable allure.
He cast a glance at the small being on the bed but didn’t say a word.
Having not rested well for days, that shower felt rejuvenating.
Seeing her slightly blushing face, his mood lifted considerably.
