Qiao Mo raised her hand to turn on the light, and the room instantly lit up.
Fu Nancheng narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze fell on her, carrying a hint of sarcasm and coldness.
Qiao Mo steeled herself and walked forward, taking a seat opposite him.
Only then did she notice a glass of whiskey and several docunts scattered casually on the coffee table.
His gaze was indifferent, with a touch of aloofness, as it settled on her, seemingly waiting for her to speak.
"Fu Nancheng..."
’Knock knock.’
Just as Qiao Mo began to speak, there was a knock on the door.
"Co in." He straightened up and extinguished the cigarette in his hand.
Imdiately, a man entered with two assistants, carrying a black briefcase, with the secretary, Zhuo Lin, following behind.
Qiao Mo was montarily startled, not expecting him to still have work to deal with so late.
Out of politeness, Qiao Mo stood up and nodded to the n who entered.
The man was initially taken aback, couldn’t help but glance at Qiao Mo twice, then nodded in acknowledgnt, and greeted Fu Nancheng: "Mr. Fu."
"Mm."
Qiao Mo stood to the side of the sofa, hesitating over whether she should leave first.
After all, the man had obviously co to discuss business, and her standing there seed sowhat inappropriate.
But just as she moved, Fu Nancheng seed to unluckily say to Zhuo Lin in a deep voice, "Close the door."
Zhuo Lin shivered all over, clearly sensing that the boss was in a bad mood today.
He turned around and hurried to the door.
He closed the door, didn’t he...
Indeed he did close it.
Alright, opening and closing it again can’t hurt.
Seeing this, Qiao Mo had no choice but to dismiss the idea of leaving, shifting slightly, resigned to standing by the sofa.
"You have ten minutes." Zhuo Lin spoke up to remind them after returning.

Qiao Mo calculated that Zhuo Lin had just said they only had ten minutes.

Qiao Mo bit her lip, drooping her head, resigned to continue waiting.
Fu Nancheng glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, not uttering a word.
The man across seed very excited, getting more enthusiastic as he spoke, his eyes bright, as if seeing hope.
Ti ticked by, Fu Nancheng occasionally asking brief questions, at which point the man would launch into another long speech.
In Qiao Mo’s view, the scene could be described as vibrant and lively!
Feet hurt...
Sighed lightly, Qiao Mo looked at her shoes, really wishing she could take them off.
But with so many people present, she really couldn’t bring herself to do that.
So Qiao Mo had no choice but to constantly shift her weight, sotis putting the weight on her left leg, sotis on her right leg, to alleviate the pain.
Fu Nancheng noticed her small movents and lowered his gaze, saying in a cold voice, "Alright, that’s enough."
The man was speaking enthusiastically at the mont, but was suddenly interrupted and couldn’t help but be a bit bewildered.
Qiao Mo was a bit stunned, quickly perking up her spirits.
After Zhuo Lin led the n out, she didn’t forget to tightly close the door.
The room suddenly was left with only Qiao Mo and Fu Nancheng, instantly turning exceptionally quiet from the previous hustle and bustle.
