“Alright, that’s it, you bastard.”

From Yandel’s throat, which had been silent until now, ca a growling sound like tal scraping against tal.

His vertically slit violet eyes glead with killing intent, and his entire body exuded a nacing aura.

Dragon Fear.

The transcendent ability of a race thought to have vanished over 300 years ago was now reappearing here.

Though it carried no mana, this intangible pressure pushed back even the oppressive aura of the Evil God that neither the Swordmaster nor the Saintess could fully repel.

It was inevitable that everyone present held their breath and fixed their eyes on Yandel.

“I heard you loud and clear, you wretched vermin. Let give you a warning of my own.”

His tone was deliberate, as if chewing on every word. The already overwhelming pressure from Yandel’s Dragon Fear intensified further.

It didn’t just block the aura of the Boiling Silence but completely overpowered it, instilling terror in everyone present.

The only exceptions were Yandel’s companions, who were instinctively spared from the brunt of his killing intent. Even Havel, a Swordmaster, broke into a cold sweat; the others could only imagine the intensity.

The sa principle that allowed the Boiling Silence’s ntal corruption to work now made Yandel’s Dragon Fear possible. And with the God’s divine energy dissipating, this effect was amplified.

To the others, it appeared as though Yandel was single-handedly overwhelming the Boiling Silence.

“You self-proclaid gods, miserable wretches adrift in the void, stripped of your ho, your na, and your purpose—this is the end for you.”

“The God of Tainted Unity will vomit up all it has consud and be torn to pieces. The God of Grotesque Proliferation will decay with its hideous visage, crumbling into a handful of dust.”

“The Cardinal of Intolerance will claw at the void, failing to grasp anything before shattering its own head. The Reckless Roar’s Wrath will scatter without leaving an echo.”

“Serpentine Leisure will collapse, leaving no trace it ever existed. And the God of Lofty Rule will bury its arrogant head in the dirt.”

“As for you, Boiling Silence, you will forever remain in the darkness, fading away without anyone knowing you were ever there.”

This wasn’t mindless rage. It was a declaration filled with conviction.

It felt less like a warning and more like the prophecy of soone who had seen the future.

“Because I will make it so.”

Or perhaps it was closer to a madman’s unshakable confidence.

For the first ti, the Boiling Silence, which had been spouting words nonstop, fell silent.

Yet Yandel wasn’t satisfied. He began to draw in mana, his determination unrelenting.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

A thunderous sound like the beating of a drum reverberated through the chamber.

It was the sound of Yandel’s heart pounding, his core activating, and mana from the surroundings resonating with him and converging into one.

In front of the stunned audience, Yandel extended his index finger, mirroring the Boiling Silence’s earlier gesture.

“This nonsense ends here. Return to the shadow you crawled out of.”

With those words, a unilateral judgnt was issued. He cast magic without even chanting, compensating for any lack of formality with an overwhelming amount of mana. ʀАNȮꞖƐṢ

“Incinerate.”

Whoosh.

The Boiling Silence’s form ignited, but the flas quickly fizzled out.

The mana, despite being powerful, couldn’t fully overco the density of the divine energy that had been concentrated enough to create an apostle.

The Boiling Silence’s stiffened lips twisted into a mocking grin.

[It’s useless. An underdeveloped creature like you can’t possibly—]

“Incinerate. Incinerate. Incinerate. Incinerate. Incinerate.”

Yandel interrupted, repeating the spell over and over, forcing the smirk back off its face.

Whoosh. Whoosh. Whoosh.

Using massive amounts of mana, he relentlessly created flas, burning through the divine energy. Though each spell dissipated, Yandel pulled the scattered mana back and forcibly cast the magic again.

While this thod was limited to a confined space, it created a near-unlimited cycle of mana at Yandel’s disposal.

The magicians, frozen in awe and terror, couldn’t help but marvel at his skill.

The flas latched onto the sludge of divine energy, burning brighter and denser with each repetition. Eventually, they surpassed even the Boiling Silence’s divine energy.

The Boiling Silence’s black sludge began to burn, consuming the divine power itself.

Such a feat would be impossible for an ordinary magician. It required absolute mastery over mana, sothing only an Archmage could achieve.

Yet Yandel, still an interdiate magician, had accomplished it—a seemingly impossible feat.

This was the result of the limitless potential of the dragon blood coursing through him, the support of the system created by Fafnir, the last and greatest dragon, and the berserk enhancent from his dragonization.

Of course, this power ca at a cost. Blood trickled from Yandel’s nose and mouth as his body struggled to withstand the overload.

But such consequences didn’t matter to him. His sole focus was reducing the Evil God to ashes.

“Incinerate. Incinerate. Incinerate. Incinerate.”

The rapid succession of spells accelerated the destruction of the Boiling Silence’s divine energy.

As most of its energy faded, the Boiling Silence turned to Yandel and spoke one last ti.

[Beware the things that stir in the shadows. The night will no longer be your sanctuary.]

A thinly veiled threat—an announcent that it would send assassins after him.

Yandel finally stopped casting, a mocking smirk spreading across his face.

“Screw you.”

Whoosh.

The remaining flas burned away the last traces of the black sludge, erasing the Boiling Silence completely from this world.

All that remained was the hot air from Yandel’s spell and the lingering Dragon Fear, even though the source of his rage had vanished.

The fury that once had a target now burned aimlessly, threatening to consu the world, accompanied by a suffocating aura of killing intent.

The berserk state brought on by prolonged dragonization made it impossible for anyone to move.

Except for one person. Carla, who had witnessed everything from the very beginning, stood directly before Yandel.

Even though his Dragon Fear spared his companions, standing face-to-face with it like this was unavoidable.

Carla flinched at the oppressive aura for a mont, but then her expression hardened with resolve.

She took one step forward.

Then another.

In an instant, Carla closed the distance and embraced Yandel.

Squeeze.

Carla’s soft body enveloped Yandel, who seed ready to burn even himself.

With careful hands, she cradled his face.

“Master.”

“……”

Yandel flinched, but his mind was still consud with anger at an enemy no longer present.

Carla firmly turned Yandel’s head toward her, ensuring he looked at no one else.

“Focus, Master. Look at .”

“Car… la…?”

It worked. The haze in Yandel’s eyes cleared instantly, and his gaze locked onto Carla.

Carla smiled warmly and nodded.

“That’s right. I’m your Carla.”

“I… I’m…”

“Shh.”

Carla placed a finger over Yandel’s lips, silencing him.

“It’s okay. You don’t have to say anything. Instead, let give you a little taste.”

Before Yandel could react, Carla stood on her tiptoes.

Smooch.

Yandel’s eyes widened in shock, but they soon softened.

He realized belatedly what Carla had ant by “a little taste.”

The thought of the sweet ti awaiting them after all this was over began to calm him.

The change was almost instantaneous.

What started as one kiss beca several, lingering longer each ti.

In front of the entire audience, their tongues intertwined, and their breaths synced.

With each shared breath, Yandel’s fierce aura softened noticeably.

The flas of his rage cooled to embers, and his razor-sharp killing intent smoothed away.

This emotional shift mirrored the physical changes in Yandel.

The horns that had jutted sharply from his forehead receded, disappearing back into his skull.

His reptilian, slit pupils returned to their round, human form.

The onlookers began to regard Carla as a hero who had tad a rampaging dragon.

But Carla seed utterly indifferent to their thoughts. As soon as the kiss ended, she licked her lips and gave Yandel a sultry smile.

“Let’s save the rest for when we get back.”

“…Okay.”

With that, Yandel turned toward the audience chamber’s exit. The tightly packed reinforcents parted like the Red Sea, clearing a path for him with audible gasps.

Yandel tilted his head at the reaction but decided it wasn’t worth questioning. With his companions, he calmly left the chamber.

One dazed knight finally spoke in a clueless tone.

“Uh… so, who’s going to report to His Majesty?”

“…I’ll do it. You lot handle the cleanup here.”

Left with the tedious task of cleaning up, Havel let out a long sigh.
