Once again, the football was handed to Pedro.

Pedro received the ball calmly, with only one option in mind—take the shot.

Compared to the previous opportunity, nearly the entire Stoke City defense was now focused on Su Luo.

This left Pedro completely unmarked.

It was a golden opportunity.

Pedro didn’t waste the perfect pass delivered by Su Luo.

Without hesitation, he made a quick decision and unleashed a powerful shot.

Effortlessly, and under no pressure at all, the ball sailed perfectly into the goal.

The score now stood at 2–1.

The balance of victory was tipping in Chelsea’s favor.

In the minutes that followed, Stoke City’s players could no longer remain passive.

They gradually realized that if the ga continued at this pace, Chelsea would inevitably dominate possession and control the outco.

Thus, Stoke City’s players knew they had to take the initiative.

Only by doing so could they hope for a draw or even a victory at Stamford Bridge.

Coach Mark Hughes was visibly animated on the sidelines.

He gestured emphatically and shouted commands:

"Attack! Attack! Press forward with everything you’ve got!"

"Take the shot whenever you see an opening—don’t hesitate, be decisive!"

As if on cue, Stoke City’s players launched a series of fierce attacks toward Chelsea’s goal.

The standout among them was Ibrahim Afellay.

To a large extent, Afellay was the driving force behind Stoke City’s offensive efforts.

While the midfield orchestrator was Charlie Adam—whose stunning long-range goal had given Stoke City an early lead—Afellay now carried the weight of the team’s attack.

In the front third, Afellay received the football.

Without a mont’s hesitation, he began showcasing his skillful ball control.

After dragging the ball horizontally with his left foot, he waited for the perfect mont and decisively delivered a precise through ball.

The pass was flawless.

Afellay’s pinpoint delivery found Saido Berahino, positioned in the forward line.

Berahino, Stoke City’s most clinical finisher, had already netted five goals in the Premier League this season.

His confidence was evident.

Now, with another excellent scoring opportunity at his feet, Berahino appeared ready to strike.

Afellay’s pass had been a ga-changer, cutting through Chelsea’s defense with remarkable precision.

As soon as the ball reached Berahino, Chelsea’s defenders reacted with urgency.

Two center-backs imdiately closed in to block his path.

However, Berahino’s sharp football IQ ca into play.

He quickly spotted Afellay, now unmarked, moving into an open position.

Without wasting any ti, Berahino passed the ball back to Afellay.

Inside the penalty area, Afellay took control of the ball with ease.

Glancing briefly at the goal, he set himself up for the shot.

Then, with decisive precision, Afellay unleashed a powerful volley.

The ball rocketed toward the goal, carrying imnse force.

But Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, was fully alert.

In this critical mont, Courtois showcased his world-class ability.

With incredible focus, he launched himself into the air and made a superb save, denying Stoke City a much-needed equalizer.
