A fighter is not the sa as another fighter.

When two different fighters face the sa problem in battle, the choices they make will differ-because of personality, style, and countless other factors.

But Raian Kure-

He was different from ordinary fighters.

If one followed Erioh Kure's words, then Raian Kure was an undeniable powerhouse.

A natural-born powerhouse.

Unlike Ohma Tokita, Raian Kure never treated the word strongest as a goal to pursue.

To him, it was a fact.

A premise.

Because-

Raian Kure was the strongest.

And precisely because of this, if Ohma Tokita were in this situation, he would feel uncomfortable-but he would imdiately adjust his ntality. He would switch into the role of the challenger, firm up his resolve, and continue fighting Jaden.

But Raian Kure couldn't do that.

-Raian Kure would never be a challenger.

All he had ever done was welco challengers.

So what would he do when faced with soone he couldn't defeat?

"He'll beco more aware of his position."

Erioh Kure said this calmly.

His original ideal situation had been simple.

Raian wouldn't use Removal at first.

He would be beaten by Jaden, awakened by that beating.

Then he would be forced to activate Removal and win.

The Kure Clan's undefeated record would remain intact.

Raian would sober up.

Jaden would gain a clearer understanding of the Kure Clan's strength and might even consider marrying into the clan.

And Raian's attitude would change.

Three birds with one stone.

That had been the plan.

But-

"It looks like the Kure Clan's long-standing record is about to be broken..."

As Erioh Kure spoke, the fight in the arena had already changed completely.

What had once been a back-and-forth exchange had turned into a one-sided beating.

Jaden was overwhelming Raian Kure.

Raian could now only raise his arms again and again to defend against Jaden's assault.

He had landed many hits earlier.

But they had done almost nothing.

Jaden hadn't even bled.

Only a few areas of his body were slightly reddened.

That was all.

And now-

He was smiling.

A smile more terrifying than Agito Kanoh's Formless state.

He advanced relentlessly, pressing Raian Kure back.

The audience might not have noticed yet.

But so fighters had.

"Seriously?"

"That monster's attacks are getting faster under pressure."

Gaolang Wongsawat's expression remained unchanged.

But his eyes were sharp and focused as he watched Jaden.

Because Gaolang had also made it to the quarterfinals.

If he wanted to win this tournant-

There was a very real chance he would face Jaden.

That alone forced even the God of War to take this seriously.

At the back of the stands, Gensai Kuroki was equally focused.

After all-

He didn't believe he would lose to the so-called "Superman" who reached the quarterfinals through luck.

After defeating him, his next opponent would be Jaden.

The fighters who had reached the quarterfinals all felt pressure.

Imnse pressure.

And Raian Kure's ntality had already collapsed.

But his collapse was different from others.

-Impossible. This is impossible.

-There is actually soone whose talent and strength surpass mine.

As he watched Jaden grow stronger with every exchange-without any sign of fatigue-Raian Kure's mind was filled with these thoughts.

He still refused to use techniques.

Because the mont he did-

He would be admitting defeat.

The opponent was fighting him using pure physical ability.

So he should be able to crush him with pure physical ability as well.

I am the strongest.

With that thought-

Raian Kure's arms, which had been raised defensively against the storm of punches, began to drop.

None of the techniques recorded in the Kure Clan's thirteen hundred years of martial knowledge taught him to abandon defense under such circumstances.

But he did it anyway.

Of course-

He wasn't giving up.

Instead-

Raian Kure gritted his teeth and let Jaden's fists crash into his body.

Blood flowed from the corners of his mouth.

From his nostrils.

From his ears.

Even from the corners of his eyes.

His face visibly swelled.

Several bones broke under the repeated blows.

His left eye blurred.

His right ear lost hearing.

Seven ribs were damaged.

His nose shattered.

Breathing beca difficult.

His head buzzed.

His vision darkened.

But-

So what?

Raian Kure endured it all.

He clenched his fists.

And struck back.

He abandoned defense.

He fought back desperately.

Just like Jaden.

And-

Jaden's smile widened.

This toy had beco even more interesting.

Raian Kure's pressure intensified.

His eyelids grew heavier.

Until-

The purple patterns across his body faded.

His aura weakened instantly.

Raian Kure could no longer maintain Removal.

His physical ability plumted.

His stamina was gone.

His injuries were too severe.

Jaden felt the shift.

He ca out of that previous state.

His final punch smashed into Raian Kure's face.

Without Removal-

Raian Kure was sent flying.

Jaden felt the fight should end here.

But before he turned away-

Raian Kure slowly pushed himself up.

He planted one foot.

And charged.

-His body was ruined.

-His speed was slow.

-His power had dropped drastically.

His punch landed on Jaden's body.

Dull.

Heavy.

But ineffective.

Before Jaden could even counter-

Raian Kure's arm dropped.

His head slumped forward.

He stood there.

Unconscious.

Jaden steadied himself.

Just as everyone thought the match was over-

He reached out toward Raian Kure's head.

"This-"

"He's unconscious!"

Shouts erupted from below the arena.

But Jaden didn't stop.

So fighters, however, understood.

And smiled.

Jaden's hand landed on Raian Kure's forehead.

He tapped it once.

Raian Kure fell backward.

He crashed to the ground.

Raian Kure hadn't collapsed from exhaustion.

He had been knocked down.

Completely.

Therefore-

Jaden turned his gaze to the referee.

The referee finally reacted.

"The match is over!"

"The winner-"

"The Devil Spear!"

"Jaden Yuki!"
