Chapter 999: Chapter 207: Primordial Spirit Growth, Taking the Initiative (8K for Monthly Pass)_5

As it closed in rapidly, the Second-order Ancient Demon appeared before Li Hao in an instant, spewing out a dense cloud of black mist that enveloped him, while simultaneously unleashing streaks of blood-red light, imbued with the power of destruction.

Li Hao imdiately unfolded his Extre Realm and stepped into the Ultimate Immortal Transformation.

His hair fluttered wildly, silver strands flowing in the wind, and his golden divine eyes blazed like a true Fighting God.

He unsheathed his blade and struck fiercely, barely managing to deflect the blood-red light.

Imdiately after, the Remnant Blade slashed out at incredible speed, piercing through the Second-order Ancient Demon’s body.

The structure of this Second-order Ancient Demon differed slightly from that of a Third Rank Ancient Demon. Even with Li Hao cutting at full speed, he was unable to kill it instantly. This resulted in his attacks being quickly regenerated on its body—the damage inflicted healed as soon as the Remnant Blade left its flesh.

“Roar!”

The Second-order Ancient Demon roared in fury, shocked by the razor-sharpness of the Remnant Blade, which exceeded its expectations. Was this perhaps an Immortal Artifact?

Fortunately, the Remnant Blade possessed no other force; it was purely sharp.

Though its body healed rapidly, the pain caused by Li Hao’s unrelenting slashes left it seething with anger.

Still, Li Hao could not pose the sa level of threat to it as he had to the Third Rank Ancient Demon.

As the black mist engulfed the area, the Second-order Ancient Demon’s innate power unfolded. Li Hao beca deeply ensnared in the mist, which isolated the Returning Ruins in an instant, making the fissures of the world disappear. Forcing his way through would be akin to running through a sea of flas, inflicting imnse harm.

Li Hao’s expression turned tense as he felt an ominous tremor in his soul. The black mist seethed like a corrosive acid—untouchable, or his soul risked being devoured and torn apart.

“Break!”

Suddenly, Li Hao’s will surged as he took control of a Third Rank Ancient Demon corpse he had defeated earlier, swiping it fiercely into the black mist.

Whoosh!

The ancient demon corpse swept across, dispersing the mist in turbulent waves.

This sight left the Second-order Ancient Demon’s eyes widening in disbelief.

Could this really work?

While it was still stunned, the Remnant Blade controlled by Li Hao did not halt; it continued relentlessly slicing through its body.

Li Hao’s mind was profoundly attuned to the act of cutting, fully imrsing himself as he analyzed every component of the demon’s flesh and structure.

His speed of slicing was exceedingly fast, tripling his earlier pace, which ant he could uncover the demon’s bodily makeup even more quickly.

Faster! Even faster!

Li Hao maneuvered the Remnant Blade to sever the Ancient Demon’s head, wings, and various other points, analyzing not just its fleshly structure but also the distribution of Dao within its body.

The surrounding black mist pressed in constantly, but another part of Li Hao’s will directed the demon corpse to keep the mist at bay with furious swings.

Li Hao’s own body dared not touch the black mist—doing so would scorch his soul—but it was different for the corpse of the Ancient Demon. Being a lifeless husk, its Primordial Spirit had already perished long ago.

Seeing its kin being repurposed as a re tool, the Second-order Ancient Demon beca livid, landing directly in front of Li Hao. Its claws slashed toward him, blood-red energy splitting the air in jagged arcs like lightning, distorting space-ti itself.

Li Hao swiftly activated the Eternal Dao Domain, and within the domain, he unleashed his sword. The Immortal Guide technique led countless bursts of Sword Qi from the Sword Domain in a sweeping attack.

With a massive boom, the clash sent shockwaves rippling. The blood-red slash was intercepted, but the impact sent Li Hao hurtling backward. His entire skeleton shuddered, and his blood surged uncontrollably.

Without delay, he activated the All Heavens Star Vein. An imnse, boundless power surged forth, restoring him in monts.

The Second-order Ancient Demon before him roared in rage, preparing to attack again. But suddenly, its eyes widened abruptly, gripped by inexplicable panic.

A deep, bone-chilling fear crept over the demon, paralyzing its being.

It sensed an overwhelming aura of death.

Its massive form seed to collapse inward, as if falling into an abyss.

How could this be possible?!

It was utterly terrified, its pupils contracting as it stared at Li Hao in disbelief.

It struggled desperately, trying to take flight and flee from this monstrous mber of the Human Race, but its entire power seed severed—bound by a force that resembled the Heavenly Dao itself, an inevitable and inescapable law.

With a resounding crash, its towering body began to falter under the weight of a withering deathly energy.

Realizing that preserving its fleshly body was impossible, it could only eject its Primordial Spirit to escape the spreading annihilation.

A mont’s delay could have cost its Primordial Spirit’s demise as well.

In the face of desperate peril, it even unleashed its Life-Defying Power.

This energy bore traces of the Heavenly Dao, enabling it to evade the pursuit of that terrifying force.

With a loud thud, the massive body of the Second-order Ancient Demon crumbled abruptly to the ground.

Li Hao was montarily startled but quickly realized—his death attribute had been triggered!

However, the Second-order Ancient Demon’s Primordial Spirit managed to escape, remaining intact.

The death attribute could kill opponents, but through Life-Defying Power or other thods, there remained a slim chance of survival—so long as the response was swift enough.

Li Hao hadn’t expected the death attribute to be effective against Ancient Demons. It seed attributes from his status panel were indeed the ultimate abilities.

Nonetheless, had it gone on a bit longer, he would have deciphered the Second-order Ancient Demon’s bodily structure completely.

Now, upon seeing its Primordial Spirit exposed, Li Hao hesitated not even a mont. Instantly, he transford his own Primordial Spirit into a sword and unleashed his full might in a single, explosive strike.

Boom!

Brilliant Sword Intent, fused with his Primordial Spirit, pierced through the Second-order Ancient Demon’s soul directly, ripping it asunder.

On its Primordial Spirit was a chain of black smoke, darker and stronger than that which bound the Primordial Spirits of Third Rank Ancient Demons. The black smoke emanated piercing wails, as though countless tortured souls were trapped within.

As Li Hao’s Primordial Spirit Sword slashed forth, the chain of black smoke snapped, and the Primordial Spirit was cleaved in two!
