"Fishing yesterday, fishing today, naturally one must co."
The old man smiled serenely, carrying his fish basket to the original spot, where there was a depression left by a small stool from yesterday.
"How was it? Any catches last night?"
The old man asked casually, but the words held two anings.
Last night, Li Hao did not catch anything; he shook his head and said, "No, but there was so movent."
"Oh?"
The old man chuckled softly, understanding Li Hao’s implication, "That’s quite good. To sense movent in my fishing grounds, you have talent."
"You flatter , elder."
Li Hao scratched his head; if he truly had talent, he should have already reached the Twelfth Realm of State of Mind.
But he has already grasped the threshold of the realm, and there are laws unique to oneself within a realm; finding breaches in soone else’s laws and catching one’s own "fish" is yet a distance away.
"Fishing is a profound skill, young man, take your ti to understand it."
The old man laughed lightly and then took out his golden rod, starting to fish in the lake.
Li Hao did not say much, bowing his head pensively.
Ti slipped away, a day passed in the blink of an eye, and today the old man caught two fish, not the sa as those from yesterday, while in Li Hao’s perception, this lake was empty. He knew he had yet to find the true world obscured by laws in the other’s realm.
As the moon rose, the elder got up to leave again, and Li Hao reeled in his line, bidding the elder farewell.
"Not continuing on?"
The elder saw Li Hao intending to leave, speaking with interest, "You’re leaving empty-handed."
Li Hao’s lips twitched slightly; those words are a great stimulus for a fisherman.
But he did not get angry and respectfully bowed, saying, "Thank you for the wine, elder. I will co again when I have ti."
"It was an exchange; the food you brought was quite good."
The old man chuckled and did not ask further, waving his hand, "Until we et again by fate."
Neither asked for the other’s na, waving hands in farewell, one headed into the forest, leisurely walking down the mountain, while the other kicked off from the mountaintop, flying swiftly with the wind.
Only the surface of the lake beneath, silent and still, reflects the brilliance of moonlight.
Upon returning to the courtyard arranged by the Heavenly Palace, Li Hao saw the Great Dream Master waiting.
"Tomorrow is the battle; are you prepared?"
The Great Dream Master asked upon seeing Li Hao return, feeling relieved.
Li Hao nodded, simultaneously taking out so delicacies gathered from the cities within the Heaven and Earth Space, handing a few pieces to her, "These taste good; Sect Master can try them."
"Have you been looking for food these past two days?"
The Great Dream Master was surprised but couldn’t resist the enticing aroma, and naturally accepted them.
"Your mind is indeed broad; with the battle imminent, others are in seclusion, or nurturing their spirits. Yet you are out and about, should I say your Dao Heart indeed surpasses others?"
The Great Dream Master spoke.
Li Hao smiled, "Victory or defeat is common in warfare; doing one’s best is enough."
Seeing Li Hao unperturbed by victory, loss, or ranking, the Great Dream Master’s heart felt a slight, bitter smile, but also understood that having such a Dao Heart, it’s normal for Li Hao to see these things clearly.
"Rest well; tomorrow won’t be easy."
The Great Dream Master left with the food, floating away, no longer disturbing Li Hao.
Li Hao sat in the courtyard, gazing at the bright moonlight, thinking of the fishing lake, and suddenly felt sothing. Using immortal power as ink, he began to paint a scene of the old man fishing in the courtyard.
In the imrsive drawing, he seed to subtly integrate into the fishing scene, having a deeper appreciation for the fishing ground the old man spoke of.
Ti passed quickly, and when Li Hao opened his eyes again, it was already the next day.
Outside the courtyard, the Dharma Aspect of the Great Dream Master appeared, gathering disciples within the sect.
Li Hao put away the painting, got up, and left the courtyard, gathering outside.
Yue Xi, Gu Yan, and others arrived, and people from Yinjing City and ng Huaiyue also showed up.
"Let’s go."
The Great Dream Master glanced at everyone, her gaze pausing on Li Hao, noting his good spirits, she felt reassured and imdiately led the group away.
As the sects gathered, Emperor Chu’s figure erged, leading everyone to the battle site.
This was an expansive mountain range; upon Li Hao and others’ arrival, they saw many peaks filled with people, countless silhouettes swarming the mountains like ants, resonating with waves of buzzing communications.
"So many people."
Yue Xi whispered.
"These are locals of the Heavenly Palace Realm, able to witness the battle in person."
The Great Dream Master explained.
They landed on a main peak in the range, incredibly spacious, with not only the various sects from the Yan Chu Immortal Dynasty but also people from other Immortal Dynasties arriving.
Li Hao saw figures like Di Lincen, Shen Wuji, and noted the Supre’s direct disciple with prominent Sword Dao skills from the True Immortal Secret Realm, Sword Heart.
Beside him stood a girl in azure clothing, whose deanor was cold as frost, not intentionally so, yet exuding a tranquil presence akin to vast oceans and lakes, seeming indifferent and unfazed by everything.
Their presence together conveyed an extraordinary detachnt, reminiscent of Banished Immortals descending to the dust, astonishing many.
Furthermore, Li Hao noticed Chi Ying, still in a red dress, like passionate flas, but her expression was disdainful and cold, conveying an aura of battle-hardened hostility.
Li Hao pondered finding an opportunity to inquire her whereabouts of the Lie Sky Saint.
As the various Immortal Dynasties arrived, the Heavenly Palace Venerable’s towering Dharma Aspect silhouette appeared, seated amidst cloud mist atop the mountain, radiating like Divine Yang, visible for all around the peaks to behold.
