“Master Song, is it…” Mada Tang furrowed her brows, deep in thought. However, she ultimately shook her head. “Young Master, I have been away from the capital for a long ti and am not as well-inford as before. I haven’t heard any news about Master Song. How about this? I’ll ask my brother when I return later.”

Song Qingshu also felt that Tang Kuo Bian was more likely to have information. However, hearing that Mada Tang was going to investigate, he couldn’t help but worry. “Won’t this arouse his suspicion?”

Mada Tang giggled. “Don’t worry, if there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s dealing with n. This is a piece of cake.”

Song Qingshu looked at her strangely, thinking, ‘That’s your own brother. Are you really planning to use the sa tricks you use on other n against him?’

Seeing that he was still uneasy, Mada Tang continued, “Don’t worry too much. Besides, you two have already sworn brotherhood. Even if he finds out, it’s no big deal. Your father is his father too, so he has a responsibility to help.”

Song Qingshu smiled bitterly. “As the saying goes, each serves their own master. I don’t want to put him in a difficult position, so it’s better to keep it from him for now.”

“You truly are a noble man!” Mada Tang couldn’t help but sigh. But then, recalling his passionate ways in bed, her face turned red, and she secretly added in her heart, ‘A noble man, but a lecherous one.’

The two spent most of the day wandering outside before indulging in wild pleasure at the inn for another half a day. By the ti they returned to the residence, the sky had already darkened.

By then, Tang Kuo Bian had already gotten up. Seeing the two of them walking in so intimately, he showed no surprise. Instead, he patted Song Qingshu on the shoulder and laughed. “Brother, impressive! You managed to win over my charming and beautiful sister so quickly?”

Song Qingshu was at a loss for words, unsure of how to respond. After all, Mada Tang was a married woman.

Noticing his discomfort, Tang Kuo Bian chuckled. “Don’t overthink it, Brother. I genuinely hope you beco my brother-in-law. That Wudai fellow—I’ve disliked him for a long ti.”

The Wudai he ntioned was none other than the current Grand Marshal of the Chongyi Army in the Jin Empire—Mada Tang’s husband.

Mada Tang pouted. “Brother, must you always tease ?”

The three of them continued their cheerful conversation, and before long, it was ti for the evening banquet. Perhaps because he had spent the entire day recovering from his hangover while Song Qingshu remained unaffected, Tang Kuo Bian felt embarrassed and challenged Song Qingshu to another drinking contest.

Song Qingshu could only smile wryly, but he figured that if he got him drunk, Mada Tang would have an easier ti extracting information. So, he did not refuse.

However, even after drinking heavily, he still couldn’t get any valuable information from Tang Kuo Bian. This made Song Qingshu uneasy. ‘There are two possibilities: either Tang Kuo Bian truly knows nothing, or he is far more shrewd than he appears, able to keep his lips sealed even when drunk.’

Failing to gather any intelligence, Song Qingshu grew frustrated. Emotions greatly impact alcohol tolerance, and before long, he felt the world spinning around him. Knowing that if he drank any more, he would black out, he quickly admitted defeat.

Tang Kuo Bian was also feeling the effects. Seeing Song Qingshu concede, he gladly accepted it and didn’t push further, allowing Mada Tang to escort Song Qingshu back to rest.

After a full day and night of passion with Mada Tang, followed by two days of drinking contests with Tang Kuo Bian, Song Qingshu was utterly exhausted. As soon as he returned to his room, he collapsed into a deep sleep.

Mada Tang helped him take off his clothes and shoes, tucked him in, and gazed at his sleeping face with a smile, “So fierce in bed, yet looking so innocent now. How adorable.”

??????????????

After a while, she got up and returned to her own room. Having been tornted for two nights, she still felt weak all over. If Song Qingshu were to wake up and get frisky again, she feared she wouldn’t survive.

Once the three of them had retired for the night, the entire Grand Marshal’s residence fell into an eerie silence.

In the darkness, over a dozen figures dressed in black silently approached a secluded section of the courtyard wall.

The burly man leading them whispered, “If we fail in our first strike, retreat imdiately. Do not get entangled in a prolonged fight. Your safety cos first.”

“Understood, Master Guo!” the others responded in hushed voices, cupping their fists in acknowledgnt.

The burly man turned to a petite figure beside him and softly said, “Rong’er, stay close to .”

“Got it, Brother Jing,” the black-clad figure replied. Her crisp, lodious voice revealed her to be a woman.

These intruders were none other than Guo Jing, Huang Rong, and a group of elite warriors.

“Move out!” Guo Jing signaled with a hand gesture before leaping over the wall. The others swiftly followed, entering without a sound.

Having ticulously planned this operation, they were well aware of Tang Kuo Bian’s residence. Moving like a night owl, Guo Jing silently appeared behind a guard at the door and swiftly eliminated him before the man could react.

“You all stand guard outside. Rong’er, co with

to kill Tang Kuo Bian!” Guo Jing instructed before slipping into the room with Huang Rong.

The room reeked of alcohol, and Tang Kuo Bian snored thunderously in bed.

Huang Rong wrinkled her nose in disgust. “Letting him die in his sleep is too easy for this scoundrel.”

Guo Jing shook his head. “Don’t complicate things.” Without hesitation, he struck down with his palm toward the man on the bed.

With the formidable force of his Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms, the man’s chest caved in with a sickening crunch. He was as good as dead. But Guo Jing’s expression suddenly changed. “No! It’s a trap!”

Huang Rong’s sharp eyes imdiately noticed blood dripping from Guo Jing’s palm. A steel needle had pierced through, glinting with a blue hue under the moonlight—obviously coated with deadly poison. Fortunately, Guo Jing had built a resistance to toxins by consuming the blood of venomous snakes. Otherwise, this poison would have been fatal.

Just then, agonized screams rang out from their comrades outside. Guo Jing’s face darkened. Grabbing Huang Rong’s wrist, he prepared to make a swift escape.

However, at that mont, the floorboards beneath the bed suddenly shattered, and a figure shot up from below.

A battle-hardened warrior like Guo Jing did not panic. He turned and intercepted the attacker. The two exchanged multiple strikes in rapid succession. Because of his injured hand, Guo Jing was at a disadvantage, forced to retreat several steps before stabilizing himself.

Huang Rong quickly drew her Dog-Beating Staff and stood protectively beside him. Only then did she get a clear look at their opponent.

The man had deep-set eyes, a prominent nose, and a tanned, rugged face. His gaze was as sharp as a blade.

Shocked, Huang Rong gasped, “Ouyang Feng!”

Ouyang Feng sneered. “Thanks to you, my son perished, and I was driven mad for over a decade. It’s ti to settle this score, once and for all!”
